The home made cakes are gorgeous and the service is brilliant. They're so friendly and helpful as I'm disabled.

Just scraped a 3 as we all agreed the cakes and coffee were actually pretty good. Nothing else to praise though really as the staff seem miserable and you get the impression that serving customers is an inconvenience really. It was also empty except for 2 others at 11am, which probably says a lot. I wouldn't go back for a lunch or anything.

This place has improved a lot since opening a few months ago. Service is very efficient and friendly, they listen to feedback and food quality is very good. Often go there for a coffee or breakfast, but haven’t tried lunch. Definitely a first choice now as it’s a very beautiful venue with plenty of space. Of course there’s room for improvement on the menu, but worth giving them a chance.

Visited for a coffee and cake. Noone at the counter....out buying goods from farm shop. Coffee just average. Waited 15 minutes for a toasted tea loaf and only two other tables taken in cafe. When asked if they had forgotten us were told the loaf was in the oven. Would not go back again!

This is such a good venue and building but certainly is very lacking - average is a generous rating. I suggest the management visit The Straw Kitchen and The Milk Shed and there they will find what would work well in The Granary.

Popped in for tea and cake which were great but it was so quiet in there no chatting, no music in the background and as there are no windows not even any people watching. Maybe outside seating could help

We have visited this cafe/restaurant twice. Today I had greek yoghurt with fresh fruit and granola. My wife chose poached eggs on potatoe rosti. Both were excellent. For drinks I asked for a decaf skinny cappuccino. They had run out of decaf. So one of the team went to the nearby farm shop and ground some coffee for us. What service! This could be great cafe-restaurant. The staff team certainly seem keen to make it a success. But sadly the place is totally lacking in any atmosphere. This is a tragedy with such a good team and a great building. It seems to us that the management who control everything are many miles away. They seem to issue instructions to the team with no explanation and I suspect no 2-way dialogue. This will likely lead to demoralised staff and low customer numbers. The previous tenant in the building was BakerGirl. The owners were on-site and inspirational. If nothing changes here with the new arrangements, I suspect it will be out of business within a year or so. Such a shame. Two quick changes would help - background music and wifi.

Friday evening pizza night. The service was excellent, friendly and very efficient. Pizza and garlic bread fabulous and the beer, really well kept (as always). Definitely worth a visit to this busy local. A proper pub.

Average pub really. Food was fine and cheap so cannot complain. Tables and floor were sticky which is never ideal.

Biggest thing to compliment this place on is the customer service. I was very impressed with all members of staff serving on the 3 mornings I visited for a pastry and coffee breakfast whilst staying nearby. Friendly, efficient and I watched them acknowledge regulars by name. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my choice of place to go in Bicester. Coffee was very good. Had decaf flat whites, regular flat whites and a lovely piccolo coffee (slightly larger than a macchiato). Tasty range of pastries (I especially loved the raspberry croissant). Totally recommend you give it a try.
