Boyce's Bakery in Medway

Happened to be in Gillingham for the day. So we wandered down the tired high st looking for a morning snack. Then we saw this bakery with people queuing through the door waiting to be served. Always a good sign. So I ordered a hot savoury sausage which was delicious. We also bought 4 apple cream turnovers which we ate the next day because we had been busy travelling on the previous day. They were flipping awesome. The lady’s serving in the shop were super friendly so a really nice experience

Absolute vile woman serving in this bakery today, talking to people like dirt. Making people feel like they were putting her out, if you hate your job that much do us a favour. Stay at home and claims benefits. Terrible 😡

I initially visited the baker after a positive review from a family member. I'm a fan of baked goods, so due to it being in close proximity to my job, I stopped by for lunch. Phenomenal food and service, by a lovely lady whose name I don't know. Went back a good few times, and stopped visiting after I picked up on extremely ableist comments from staff about their disabled coworker. As a mentally and physically disabled person myself, I was appalled that the staff would say these things to me, a customer, while their coworker was serving not ten feet away. TL;DR Though the food is phenomenal and the prices are fair, I won't be returning due to disgustingly behaved staff.

Since taking over the bakery in Parkwood the quality and variety has improved massively. They have a great variety of bread, cakes and rolls. It is super and pleased that the area has a great bakers.

I have always loved Leysdown Bakery so was over the moon when they opened a Boyce’s Bakery in Gillingham High Street. Trouble is, I just can’t stay away. Currently working my way through the cream cake selection! Best bakery around.
