Rude owner Have been going to Crumbs since they opened in 2007 have been a loyal customer since then. Not every time the food was up to par but I never put a bad review. I would stop family members from taking food back that they weren’t happy with because I had come to class the owner as a good friend and didn’t want any bad feeling. On occasion my family members being ill sometimes and also on the spectrum, they preferred their bacon separate to the barm cakes, sometimes I would request buttered barms separate from the bacon because the bacon would be for the dog’s food and the barms would be for something else entirely. There have been many times when we have ordered the barms together with bacon. The same happened this morning, family members are poorly, the dog was having bacon and the barms were for a different meal. I phoned my order through and went across the road to get it. The shop had three other customers in as well as the owner and her sister. I moved to the counter and Emma the owner said “can I be blunt?” At first I thought she was joking and said yes sure. She said “Are you taking the piss? Because it looks like you’re taking the piss.” Her face was red and she looked really angry and I was shocked as she’d never spoken to me like that before nor any other customer that I have witnessed. I replied that I wasn’t taking the piss and she repeated herself. At first I didn’t understand what she was talking about but then realised because she nodded to the food I had ordered. She was annoyed because I wanted the barms separate from the bacon. I assured her I wasn’t taking the piss at all. Now then if there was such a problem with the order and she wanted to charge me full price for bacon barms and not separate items, she could have just said politely that she would have to charge me full prices, I would have understood completely. I never once asked to be charged a different price from a bacon barm. But to openly speak to me like that, in front of other customers too, is nothing short of bang out of order and rude. Other customers have different requests and requirements, I don’t think they have been spoken to like that. I have since phoned her up and told her we won’t be going there again after the way she embarrassed me in front of other customers. She tried to claim there were no other customers in the shop, there were actually 3 others, but even if there hadn’t been, does that make it right? Disgusting. Her family then thought it appropriate to mock me.

Staff friendliness over the phone and delivery Staff fantastic. Food not great! Rice, dried up bhaji, samosa etc all hum drum and shop bought obviously. Lamb was okay ish but the sauce was very bland. Tried ashiana a couple of times now and to be honest I'll give it a miss in future. Shame because lovely people but not so lovely food.

Fabulous bar with the most amazing friendly staff and top beers, nice wine, a good selection of gins and a tasty margarita would certainly recommend for a nice night out or a casual drink. The food collab events are also amazing - well thought out and executed. The rest of the time it is strictly crisps and nuts. Jarron and the team are knowledgeable and so helpful. A must visit

It looks like Northern Whisper Ramsbottom has now closed. This place could have been a great success. The bar manager was a great fellow but just pulled the beers and then played on his phone, ignoring what could be a solitary customer on their own who would have liked to have been acknowledged. The previous bar staff Lucy and Chloe in particular were very customer friendly and chatted with customers unfortunately in my eyes the bar went downhill when they left. The bar manager sadly didn't display that skill this in my opinion, leading to many customers not coming back or only having one drink and then leaving. Every Wednesday the handpull beers were £2 a pint this was hardly advertised anywhere in Ramsbottom it should have been plastered all over the windows to this day many Ramsbottom people were unaware of this promotion the bar if advertised correctly would have been packed. A major failing too in this modern age is that there was NO disabled male toilet access. Apart from these very big failings, the beer was always on top form and excellent.
