The food is amazing and the side of garlic mushrooms were to die for will defo going back for another steak

We tried their new breakfast menu today. I tried the steak breakfast and it was delicious, two steaks, cooked perfectly with, fried eggs, roast, mushrooms etc all for just under £12! . Their full English didn't disappoint, big portions and very reasonably priced. I especially loved the vegetarian options we tried too, the beetroot and feta on sourdough was phenomenal! Friendly and welcoming , will definitely be returning

I recently had the pleasure of eating here and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was wonderfully calm with no loud background music, which made for a perfect setting to enjoy a meal and have a conversation. The cleanliness of the place was noticeable and I found the seats to be surprisingly comfortable. We decided to sample a variety of starters, and every single dish great. Although the portions were more tapas-sized, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Each dish was meticulously prepared and the sauces are clearly made in-house, were bursting with flavours. The grilled chicken was the only slight letdown, as it was a bit dry for my taste. However, the wings were a standout - extremely tender and flavorful. If you’re a fan of calamari, you're in for a treat. The calamari had a great crumb, the squid was thick and juicy, not at all rubbery. Another highlight was the cocktails. They were strong, with no skimping on the alcohol Overall, my experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The quiet, clean, and comfortable environment combined with the high-quality flavorful food !ade for a memorable dining experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, especially to try their steak. A big thank you to the team for the tasty meal and excellent service!

Lovely place for brunch and lunch, great value for money too.

We ate there yesterday evening and overall, liked the restaurant and found the food delicious. However, it's not cheap and I had the steak and chips but we found for the price we paid, it wouldn't have hurt to accompany the steak and chips with some vegetables without having them as a side order to pay extra. Speaking for myself, I know I couldn't recommend for my close friends as they would find the price too much for what you don't get. Once again though, the steak was delicious and lovely chips.

Beautiful food, great staff and super fast service. My wife and I visited last night, we are both Keto based and went for a mixed grill. They gave us extra chicken instead of the potatoes which was very kind of them. We will be returning as often as possible. Thanks

We went here last night for food. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was the best we've had in a while. Well presented too. I had prawn cocktail to start which was delicious, then sea bass with asparagus and the fish was cooked to perfection. My partner had a spicy chicken starter and main and they were also delicious, the chicken had a smoky flavour on the skillet and was also cooked perfectly.

Great ambiance good friendly staff and excellent service the best restaurant/ coffee shop by far. More importantly the food is fantastic .

Came with a group of friends for an evening meal. Service was friendly and food fantastic. Carpaccio starter was lovely and the steak main was cooked perfectly (I prefer blue or rare) A heaven for us meat eaters but also plenty of choice for vegetarians also The tomahawk steak was sooo tempting....one day 🙂

It was our first visit to Rokka tonight and it did not disappoint. Place is brightly lit and cozy which suits us. We had beef capaccio and chicken wrapped asparagas, king prawn linguine and seafood stew which was delicious. Service was spot on: staff was attentive. Menu is varied with mediterranean theme, steaks, grilled meats, pasta, burgers, salad - a bit of everything for everyone. Thank you Rokka, we will be back.

Fantastic local steakhouse. Amazing food, lovely staff and great location. Not cheap, but where is nowadays? Rather pay a bit more and have the quality, which you definitely get here. 100% recommend.

Went for food with me best bud, the unit is tidy and clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The food was really good, ordered 2 medium rare steaks with peppercorn sauce, a share platter and the carpaccio for starters. Overall a good first time experience. Would recommend if not wanting to travel all the way to Liverpool City centre, traffic and parking if local to wirral.

This was a long overdue visit as we'd seen so many good reviews! We had the best Steaks ever (well in a very long time) we had starters, main and desserts . We will definitely be back! You pay for what you get 100%

Amazing food. The best steak I've had in a while. The kids meals are massive so I had to eat for 2. Everyone I went with loved their meals so definitely no faults there. Waited over 45 minutes for food when there was only another table sat down in there. Food was bland chicken had no flavour, ordered houmous and was sent back due to no taste and it clearly been left out and veg was stale.

The steak was delicious...I ordered it medium well and it was cooked to perfection, very juicy! The prawn starter was disappointing..3 prawns with no garlic or chilli flavour for £8. The funghi forni was very tasty and a good sized portion. Would definitely go again. 😋

First time visiting Rokka and I knew they were a little on the expensive side from what I had seen on their menu but I just fancied a mid afternoon coffee with my wife and children. I ordered two Americanos, two lime and sodas and some baklava that I spotted on the counter (which made for a nice change from the usual cakes). All in came to an eye-watering £19!!! £4 per coffee and £2.50 each for some lime cordial with soda, the mark-up must be insane. That said, the baklava was served warm and very tasty so was happy to pay over a fiver for it, however the drinks are far too expensive for what they were. By contrast, the service was very friendly and the girl serving gave my children an extra biscuit to stop them stealing ours! I know these guys are great with steaks but I do believe that their drinks are massively overpriced, especially with two other establishments on the same row of shops that charge half what they do.

Food was lovely, we live locally so wanted to give back to our local establishments establishments … service was a bit hit and miss , young staff licking their fingers while serving desserts , I asked for pepper was given a a pepper grinder with Salt in .. we will try again. Just needs a bit of tweaking in staff training, but all in all a nice meal

It was our first visit to the place since Zugers era. Food was upto good standard and tasty. My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. The cold mezes sharing platter was presented well and they were all tasty. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

First visit to Rokka today and it was most definitely not our last! Quality of food and service was exceptional, really cant fault anything. Rib eye steak was cooked to perfection and served with lovely garlic potatoes opted to add some sides and they were so nice. Plate was left clean and thats not because it was a small portion it was that it was all so good I couldn't leave anything to waste. Sadly didnt take a pic of starter or main but before posting this I had to show you my Pistachio cake...yum yum yum 5 🌟 Unknown to us at the time, there was an extra surprise of 25% off food bill between 2pm and 5pm daily WOW what a deal Top marks to Chef and our server hannah today.

Not impressed after hearing great reviews. The chef’s special is no more than homemade croutons, tinned tomatoes, and small pieces of steak which was extremely fatty. Not worth £30 at all. The evidence of prawns was very slight.

Your Fillet Steak has to be one of the best steaks around! Exceptional food, would 100% recommend!

Don't waste your time. Rude restaurant manager. Booked on Wednesday. Squashed table in the corner, couldn't even get in! Said she couldn't fit the table in and I didn't arrange the tables! What the heck?! Then offered a table for two under the bar! If you don't have space don't take the booking! Didn't feel welcome at all. I also live 5 mins away, so not great being a local resident. Will not be recommending or advising my neighbours to visit in future.

Attentive service and excellent food but loses a star for atmospheric. Far too bright and no music.

Food was definitely average. Garlic potatoes were just potatoes and seasoned veg weren’t seasoned. Fillet was delicious and was cooked how I wanted it to be but should definitely come with a side of veg too and not add on for £5. (Side note I added the veg onto the board for the photo as I wouldn’t of took a photo of how it was presented) King burger could have been more flavoursome.

An amazingly good ribeye. I asked for medium rare and it was perfect. Not at all overdone and lots of flavour. My dad thought his salmon was fabulous. Looking forward to returning.

Just had an absolutely superb meal at Rokka. Food was delicious & really well prepared. Friendly staff & even got a free drink when I mentioned it was my partners birthday! We will definitely be visiting Rokka again! Great find, lovely restaurant. Highly recommend!

I have been to rokka before a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it so we wanted to come back again as a bigger party for my mum's birthday. We were disappointed by the attitude of who I assume as they weren't in the same uniform as everyone else was either the supervisor or manager. We asked for no garlic potatos on a chicken teriyaki meal as my dad doesn't like garlic he said I'll have a side of chips we were fully prepared to pay for the chips. The supervisor or manager out right refused to remove the garlic potatos from the plate as we do not do exchanges we never asked for an exchange we just simply asked for no garlic potatos which I didn't think was a big ask at all just don't put them on the plate. I've worked in restaurants for many years and I know you do anything to make the customer's have a positive experience. It's also not stated on the menu what the chicken teriyaki comes with so my dad assumed he was just getting chicken and the sauce, it came with peppers and onions the lovely server that brought out the food offered for it to be changed as my dad is a little picky but my dad being kind said no it's fine. When ordering we were not even asked about allergies as this is a requirement to ask everyone that eats in the restaurant. We could also see that the staff were talking about our table behind the bar we were literally sat right next you. It was all very unprofessional. The chicken teriyaki did come out with chips but was made out to us that it was such a hard thing to do and that the chef did it this time I really didn't understand why a big deal had to made about it to us when we never said about an exchange. They are potatoes. This made the experience in rokka not very enjoyable at all and the atmosphere wasn't that great as we could see us being spoken about. The steaks we ordered were lovely and we enjoyed our food but we are just very disappointed by the attitude of some of the staff it was very upsetting.

Hubby and I had the garlic mushrooms and the chilli prawns for starters, then for mains we both had fillet steaks (both perfectly cooked, yummy chargrilled flavour) - all washed down with bottle wine and liqueur coffees to finish. Was husband's second visit in a week and we'll be back soon :)

As a member of Eating out Merseyside Group, last night, we enjoyed a fabulous meal. Food was cooked to perfection, service and staff very attentive. I had the Fillet Mignon Definitely will be going again flavours we're excellent. I highly recommend you try this hidden gem!

On this occasion starter let them down but the waitress was aware and apologetic. It definitely won't stop me visiting again

The five of us went in on a whim after attending my uncle's funeral and couldn't be bothered cooking! Three rokka burgers..chicken teriyaki..greek salad with a garlic bread and the lovely waitress tempted us with the homemade houmous and pitta bread! Couldn't fault anything! I'll sneakily be having my lunches here!!

A group of 12 of us visited Rokka for my husband and my birthday a week ago.The staff where lovely and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble .The food was beautifully presented and tasted devine .Will definitely be going back soon 😀A very happy customer .

Had a roasti with cheese, bacon and fried egg, it was amazing best lunch I have had in a while.

Can't fault this place the staff food and cost perfect The steak was cooked and presented perfect . We booked for our anniversary and the lady serving made sure we felt special from the way she had laid the table to the free drink at the end . Thank you for making our day we will definitely be back.

Really nice place with very friendly and professional staff. However, the food is just ok. Had the house special dish which was beef and lamb, drowned in a lumpy tomato sauce. Not really worth the £17.95. The waiting on staff were all very very attentive and friendly and if it hadn't been for that , I'd give this restaurant 2 stars.

Good food what there is of it and expensive for the area.

A great place to go for a stake and some drinks. Starters where Fab and I had a 45oz T bone steak. The steak was cooked perfectly; only personal preference would be cooked in one piece rather than pieces. But credit to the chef, I spoke with him after, and next time they will cook in one piece. And next time I will have a 72oz and can't wait with a bit of notice And pepper sauce was the best I have ever had Excellent price point @6.90 per 100g and will be returning soon. A great addition to the Wirral 👏👏

Very quiet, but the food was fantastic and the staff friendly.

Visited this local restaurant after reading good reviews. Unfortunately our experience was very different. We arrived at 7pm and waited 35 minutes to get a drink after having to go to the bar to ask were are drinks where. When the drinks finally arrived my daughter's glass of lemonade was half empty. I had to ask to have it topped up. The bottle of wine we ordered arrived in an ice bucket that had turned to water it had been sitting so long, The waitress brought the bottle with the cork still in and had to take it away again to remove the cork. When our steaks finally arrived, the steaks were nice but were served with chips instead of garlic potatoes. By this stage I couldn't be bothered asking to change the chips as we had waited 1 hour 15 mins for the food to arrive. Needless to say we won't be visiting Rokka again which is a shame as we only live a 5 min drive away.

Hands down the best steak I have had in years.
