Best chips, fish, scallops ever. Chippy tea for a family birthday and it didn't disappoint at all, hot fresh and perfectly cooked. It's my favourite fish and chip shop. I also like the fact you can choose your fish via type and they are transparent with the prices. Fish and chip special is only £6 ..worth it every time.

Alright hefty price for 1 dinner tho don’t have full item dinners they charge for every item separately witch works out the price for 2 meals makes no sense but the food is good

Tried this chippy as new to the area. Whilst the chips were nice the fish was very thin with extremely crispy batter. For the price we paid which was very expensive for a chip shop we were left quite disappointed.

Amazing food, amazing staff, and amazing customer service! Love coming here, oh and the milkshakes are to die for! Don't know why people are saying it's pricey, when you're paying for quality. I'm southern, so to me, its cheap for what you get. Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed.

This place is great. I'd say the menu is small-ish with it being more of a specialist take away, but there's still more than enough choice even for the most picky eaters. The food is excellent, the fish in particular and you can just tell that quality is very important to the staff and owners. The service was quick and the prices are very reasonable. There are Covid measures in place which is very reassuring. They even have decent veggie options! I'd highly recommend a visit and will be going again soon.

This is our lockdown treasure we would never of found it otherwise. The fish and chips are delicious, the batter is wonderfully light and crispy and their special beer batter is amazing and we love their fruity sauce. My Husband collects the order and he is very impress with the service and cleanliness of Georgios and the food is delivered well package the fish in a box and all place carefully in paper bag. Thank you Georgio and staff.

went at 6 on Thursday 20th fish was horrible and chips were white.it was the worse fish and chips ive every had from georgios.wont be going back.have to give it a star so I can post this review.

I enjoyed the food but was confused by the pricing. I ordered a large sausage (£1.30 on the menu) & 4 scallops (30p ea.). By my reckoning that comes to £2.50 total, but I was charged £3.40. I didn't question it at the time and I regret it now.

Gutted They have a new guy frying and he's useless!!! Chips have gone from being being fantastic to a soggy mess!!! And the fish has gone from a being a fantastic lightly battered piece to a thickly battered undercooked soggy mess What as shame last 3 visits all the same Never Again

Fresh food very clean standards

I am a Disabled Lady carrying Oxygen. Ray in Georgios sees me coming and sends one of the girls out to me in my car to save me from having to lug my oxygen tank in and queue. All of their meals are cooked fresh while you wait and then one of the girls brings it straight out to me in my car. Georgios fish are sooo nice and fresh. The batter is not thick or doughy inside. It's always cooked perfectly and crisply.

Best chippy on the Wirral. Excellent food served by friendly staff in a clean environment . Not the cheapest for fish but the fish is excellent. Georgios doesn't have the biggest menu so you won't find Chinese food here but what they do have is good quality and tasty food.Well worth my 5* review in my opinion but don't just take my word for it call in and see for yourself. Just got to add that fish and chips are packed in a recyclable box.They also use brown recyclable bags so a big thumbs up for this. Great service. Don't forget to like my review .Hygiene rating is 5*.This chippy ticks all the boxes and is well worth a visit.

Firstly, I'm only giving 1 star because it wont let me give 0. £35 for 4 x fish and chips ????. Chips weren't even full portion. Just a few scattered in box under the fish when we asked for it separate. In fact they weren't even proper chips, they were dry as anything and mostly scraps. Man who served my daughter was extremely rude to her. We originally ordered 4 fish and 5 portions of chips. She only had £30 with her and it wasn't enough. So after some harsh words he agreed to take of one portion but as I said it was half portions in with the chips of dry scraps. We have always used georgios on a good Friday for years and always loved it. But after yesterday I'm afraid they've lost our business for good and I will be telling all our friends the same

I'd read the reviews so was really looking forward to trying the fish and chips. Far too many chip shops in Wirral serve flat uninspiring fish. I'd hoped for better but was disappointed. The batter on the fish was nice and crispy, but the fish itself was about as thick as a burger patty from McDonald's! When will we see nice thick white flakes of good quality Cod? Chips were OK and of good quality, not many black bits. Choice of curry sauce; fruity or hot. Went for hot but it tasted bland still, almost powdery. Promised much but just average outcome.

Perfect Fish & Chips everytime. Oh and Mushy peas. Mmmmm.

Delicious, traditional, fresh fish and chips, cooked to order. Well worth a short wait. 10x better than any chinese restaurant that also happens to sell fish and chips.
