I ordered a pizza for collection. The staff were very friendly and the food was ready when I was told it would be. The pizza was delicious

We went for Sunday lunch which is excellent. Generous plate and staff are attentive. It was quiet late on Sunday.

We had a lovely time this evening. We had some small plates and the food was delicious especially the rump steak with pesto and parmesan. I can highly recommend and will be returning very soon.

We’ve been for pizzas with kids before and always had a lovely time. Came for a roast on Mother’s Day and it was fantastic! Every item on the plate was delicious and clearly cooked with care. The service was really welcoming and the whole atmosphere was so family friendly. Looking forward to coming again.

My husband saw this restaurant in passing. What a little gem, great service, great menu. My husband said it was the nicest pizza he has ever had, and he has eaten pizza all over the world. My gyros was so fresh and tasty, the chicken was moist and succulent. We will be back, that’s for sure. Thank you for a lovely date night.

Food was very nice, great set up and nice atmosphere, service was good but felt a little rushed considering there were empty tables( so could have been left to have drinks and a chat with friends for longer)

Roast dinner snob here. Absolutely banging. The flavours were something else. Not your normal boring sunday dinner. The rosemary cream was 🤤🤤 and the flavour on the roasties 😍 the rib and mussel starters were also amazing. Mr never orders a roast’s plate was cleared and he even agreed it was so good. The only better tiramisu I have had was one place in venice. £18 for 2 courses £22.50 for 3 and even the veggie options looked good. Can’t wait to work my way through the whole menu. The service was bang on too! Could not fault a thing. Already pizza fans but roasts are my thing 😍 Edit: only lets you post one review. We visited 20th march, the new recipe wings are amazing, fantastic service and meal. One of our favourite restaurants. Looking forward to my mothers day roast (and hopefully bottomless brunch on the 29th 😬)

A cute a quirky little venue, with stylish decor, a lovely ambience, attentive service and, of course, delicious food. A nice variety of dishes, with options to share or go solo! Plenty of vegan options across all areas of the menu - be that starters, sharers, pizzas, large plates or desserts. The risotto of the week is vegan and this week's offering was delicious. The Pink Angel cocktails are fantastic 🍸🍹

Very lovely birthday meal at this little cozy restaurant. Tasty tapas and good choice of meals, meat, fish, pasta, vegan too. It was my friend's birthday and the staff asked her to spin a wheel to win a prize, she got 15% off the bill! We loved visiting here and we will be returning soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I was visiting my son in Stockport and had an hour to kill so went here for a cup of tea. The owner welcomed me and let me stay until my son came home. I liked the feel of the place - it had a friendly, cosy atmosphere so we went back there in the evening for a meal. We both had the sirloin steak which was amazing . The service was friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommended and I would definitely use again.

A group of ladies from Heaton Mess WI visited on 27th January for our monthly Early Dine and took advantage of the 25% off food. We had a really enjoyable evening, the food was great and the service was excellent, it's the 2nd time we have visited as a group and we will definitely be back

First visit. Place was packed late on a Sunday afternoon so glad we had booked. Undecided between the Sunday Roast or Small Plates. So decided on Roast with a plan to visit again for tapas plates. Very friendly serving staff. Food was delicious so ended up having 3 courses.

Great local spot. Calamari and beef brisket was on point. Will be back!

Visited recently and as ever great food and service, interstellar mix of small plates and an excellent tiramisu.

Always wanted to come here, always see it on the 192 bus route! Today was that day and have no regrets! Decour, music, food and drink was sublime! A special shout out to Cerys who served us, attention to detail was on point

Food excellent, hosts very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive, decor pleasing to the eye. modern and clean.

The food was very average, aranchini piping hot outside but cold in the middle, the fries seemed frozen, pizza was okay. Deserts were really good. There was a typo on the menu so we had to send the mushroom rigatoni back but the chef made the server bring it back and tell us it was the only option. We had to send it back again and it was taken off the bill. Shame though, we heard the chef being very rude to the server about it. The server staff were really attentive and lovely.

We’ve loved this place since it opened. It’s so lovely to see it just in January with an amazing offer. Both staff members in on Weds 22nd were amazing and so lovely. The food speaks for itself!!

Amazing food, was seated, ordered and had finished eating in 30 minutes. Genuinely one of the best places around, can't recommend enough!

We came to The Burbs January 2024 and loved it. The food was amazing, the staff were amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. Came again this January and it was very different atmosphere. It was dull and the staff although very lovely towards us, they looked like they really didn't want to be there themselves, almost looked bored. The food was awful. I had the Beef Ragu and I had to leave before the rest of the people I arrived with because after eating the Beef Ragu, I became very queezy and had to leave to be sick. I made it around the corner of the restaurant before throwing up. I don't know if this place has changed hands, but it is very different from the last time we visited in January 2024 it was a beautiful place, beautiful food and great atmosphere. This time around, January 2025, it's a dull atmosphere and the food is awful. It's ashame because it was a really lovely restaurant. I have read other low reviews and the feedback from the restaurant to those low reviews, and to be honest, the feedback to the low reviews are as bad as the restaurant itself, I found the response to the low reviews to be very obnoxious and rude. Such a shame.

This restaurant was great because it's small, friendly, boutique. We were looked after by the owner, who seems really passionate about his business and the good he serves. He welcomed feedback.

Went last night for my birthday. The service was shocking. The staff wanted to do everything else other than serve. We waited 20 mins when we first sat to be asked if we wanted to order drinks. The starter I ordered of halloumi fries were cold and overcooked. The garlic bread had a layer of black charcoal dust on the bottom also. The main meals the chicken was dry and the salad was soggy as though it had been sat in water for days. The staff were really inattentive. We had to ask for more cutlery for the second course and they took so long to get it, we had to take it from different tables. I don’t know if this has been taken over by different owners but not as good as before. Very disappointing.

Had a really lovely takeaway from here tonight. We will definitely be returning!

Visited The Burbs Restaurant on Sunday and got the roast dinner and a cheesy garlic bread. Both were great portions, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Really enjoyed it and was full up for the rest of the day!!

The crown jewel of Heaton Chapel. I’ve visited several times, and I’m more impressed on each occasion by wonderful menu, and excellent customer service. I’d highly recommend a visit.

Went for a meal with my friend as he wanted to try the place. We enjoyed the food but sadly the service was far from ideal. The waitress at the beginning had no knowledge of the menu and drinks options, struggled to understand what Inch's was, asked us to repeat our drinks order twice and got it wrong, luckily she got our food order right after repeating it 3 times. The food came quickly and was tasty and reasonably priced. Sadly as a chef my friend spotted the chef behind the bar wearing jewellery and no chef whites or protection which is simply not up to standard for hygiene. A few improvements on staff training and decor and this could be a fantastic little restaurant! Currently short of the mark for me.

Visited tonight with my husband to try out the new Mediterranean menu & we were not disappointed. There is a great selection of both small & large plates to choose from and, of course, the fab neapolitan pizzas. We went in quite early, around 6.30, so it wasn't too busy. Service was excellent and staff were attentive throughout our visit. We opted for small plates, all of which were hot, clearly freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Our personal favourite this evening was the meatballs. Glad to hear this menu is staying, we'll definitely be back to try a few different dishes soon.

Great night out at Burbs, love that they change their menu every few months, but their amazing pasta still stays on the menu! Family night out with the teenage kids, everyone catered for.

Went for my daughters birthday we were a small group of five (with 1 vegetarian) The food was absolutely spot on tapas plates, pizza, garlic bread with cheese all beautifully presented and full of flavour 😋

Lovely evening at the ‘Burbs celebrating our anniversary. Everything we ordered was delicious and we had great service from Roxy. She was really friendly and recommended an amazing creamy sausage tagliatelle special. We’ll definitely be back again - what a hidden gem!

This was our first time to The Burbs and we will definitely be back. The food and service were both fantastic. We chose small plates and every one was delicious. We will definitely be back to try the big plates!! Roxy and Sade were lovely and couldn’t have done enough for us.

The food was fab, lovely, relaxed atmosphere and really friendly staff. The prawns were particularly amazing, as was the tiramisu and brownie. It’s great that you can try lots of small plates. It’s definitely my new favourite local! Brilliant addition to the area.

Very disappointing. It tasted like it had just been defrosted in a microwave. I hope they simplify their menu and focus on good quality food.

Absolutely incredible. Couldn't give this place more praise. As soon as we arrived they were on it. Service incredible and the food is next level. Perfect portion sizes for the 3 courses and such a good price. The quality of the food was so good! We ate everything on the plate for every course, it was so tasty. Such a good addition to the area. We live in Levenshulme and it's so close. We will be back very soon. Can't wait to try the pizza. The roast was amazing and better than any other I've had in the area.

Another fabulous meal last night at the Burbs, have been several times and the small plates are fantastic, but my favourite will always be the Taste of Honey pizza. The service was excellent, atmosphere was lovely. Will always be a go to place for a meal out.
