We had a lovely family evening here ,5 adults and 2 children. The food was great and service was friendly and efficient. It was also great value for money. We will be returning.

Had a really lovely birthday family meal at the Burbs. The choice was great, there was something for everyone. Food and service both excellent. This was our first visit and will definitely return!

We’ve loved this place since it opened. It’s so lovely to see it just in January with an amazing offer. Both staff members in on Weds 22nd were amazing and so lovely. The food speaks for itself!!

The staff at The Burbs couldn’t have been more helpful & friendly. We went with a pram & they made sure we had plenty of room & were very attentive. Food as always was delicious with a great selection. Great service & food at a very reasonable price.

Amazing food, was seated, ordered and had finished eating in 30 minutes. Genuinely one of the best places around, can't recommend enough!

We came to The Burbs January 2024 and loved it. The food was amazing, the staff were amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. Came again this January and it was very different atmosphere. It was dull and the staff although very lovely towards us, they looked like they really didn't want to be there themselves, almost looked bored. The food was awful. I had the Beef Ragu and I had to leave before the rest of the people I arrived with because after eating the Beef Ragu, I became very queezy and had to leave to be sick. I made it around the corner of the restaurant before throwing up. I don't know if this place has changed hands, but it is very different from the last time we visited in January 2024 it was a beautiful place, beautiful food and great atmosphere. This time around, January 2025, it's a dull atmosphere and the food is awful. It's ashame because it was a really lovely restaurant. I have read other low reviews and the feedback from the restaurant to those low reviews, and to be honest, the feedback to the low reviews are as bad as the restaurant itself, I found the response to the low reviews to be very obnoxious and rude. Such a shame.

This restaurant was great because it's small, friendly, boutique. We were looked after by the owner, who seems really passionate about his business and the good he serves. He welcomed feedback.

Went last night for my birthday. The service was shocking. The staff wanted to do everything else other than serve. We waited 20 mins when we first sat to be asked if we wanted to order drinks. The starter I ordered of halloumi fries were cold and overcooked. The garlic bread had a layer of black charcoal dust on the bottom also. The main meals the chicken was dry and the salad was soggy as though it had been sat in water for days. The staff were really inattentive. We had to ask for more cutlery for the second course and they took so long to get it, we had to take it from different tables. I don’t know if this has been taken over by different owners but not as good as before. Very disappointing.

Had a really lovely takeaway from here tonight. We will definitely be returning!

Visited The Burbs Restaurant on Sunday and got the roast dinner and a cheesy garlic bread. Both were great portions, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Really enjoyed it and was full up for the rest of the day!!

My husband saw this restaurant in passing. What a little gem, great service, great menu. My husband said it was the nicest pizza he has ever had, and he has eaten pizza all over the world. My gyros was so fresh and tasty, the chicken was moist and succulent. We will be back, that’s for sure. Thank you for a lovely date night.

The crown jewel of Heaton Chapel. I’ve visited several times, and I’m more impressed on each occasion by wonderful menu, and excellent customer service. I’d highly recommend a visit.

Went for a meal with my friend as he wanted to try the place. We enjoyed the food but sadly the service was far from ideal. The waitress at the beginning had no knowledge of the menu and drinks options, struggled to understand what Inch's was, asked us to repeat our drinks order twice and got it wrong, luckily she got our food order right after repeating it 3 times. The food came quickly and was tasty and reasonably priced. Sadly as a chef my friend spotted the chef behind the bar wearing jewellery and no chef whites or protection which is simply not up to standard for hygiene. A few improvements on staff training and decor and this could be a fantastic little restaurant! Currently short of the mark for me.

Visited tonight with my husband to try out the new Mediterranean menu & we were not disappointed. There is a great selection of both small & large plates to choose from and, of course, the fab neapolitan pizzas. We went in quite early, around 6.30, so it wasn't too busy. Service was excellent and staff were attentive throughout our visit. We opted for small plates, all of which were hot, clearly freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Our personal favourite this evening was the meatballs. Glad to hear this menu is staying, we'll definitely be back to try a few different dishes soon.

Great night out at Burbs, love that they change their menu every few months, but their amazing pasta still stays on the menu! Family night out with the teenage kids, everyone catered for.

Went for my daughters birthday we were a small group of five (with 1 vegetarian) The food was absolutely spot on tapas plates, pizza, garlic bread with cheese all beautifully presented and full of flavour 😋

Lovely evening at the ‘Burbs celebrating our anniversary. Everything we ordered was delicious and we had great service from Roxy. She was really friendly and recommended an amazing creamy sausage tagliatelle special. We’ll definitely be back again - what a hidden gem!

This was our first time to The Burbs and we will definitely be back. The food and service were both fantastic. We chose small plates and every one was delicious. We will definitely be back to try the big plates!! Roxy and Sade were lovely and couldn’t have done enough for us.

The food was fab, lovely, relaxed atmosphere and really friendly staff. The prawns were particularly amazing, as was the tiramisu and brownie. It’s great that you can try lots of small plates. It’s definitely my new favourite local! Brilliant addition to the area.

Very disappointing. It tasted like it had just been defrosted in a microwave. I hope they simplify their menu and focus on good quality food.

Absolutely incredible. Couldn't give this place more praise. As soon as we arrived they were on it. Service incredible and the food is next level. Perfect portion sizes for the 3 courses and such a good price. The quality of the food was so good! We ate everything on the plate for every course, it was so tasty. Such a good addition to the area. We live in Levenshulme and it's so close. We will be back very soon. Can't wait to try the pizza. The roast was amazing and better than any other I've had in the area.

Absolutely fantastic food and brilliant service. We visited this evening and the staff were absolutely fantastic and incredibly welcoming from start to finish. Every dish was absolutely delicious, especially the rump steak. Really recommend this spot and can’t wait to return 🥰 I recently also had the roast as well as the new menu and it was just as incredible!

Another fabulous meal last night at the Burbs, have been several times and the small plates are fantastic, but my favourite will always be the Taste of Honey pizza. The service was excellent, atmosphere was lovely. Will always be a go to place for a meal out.

Ate here last night. It was cold inside so we kept our coats on. The staff were nice but the food was so average it could have been heated up from aldis frozen section. The ribs we really poor quality, fatty, more bone and fat than meat and I can only describe the meat as cheap. The chicken skewers were very strange, the chicken didn't taste like real chicken. I think maybe because it had been frozen. The sauce tasted like uncle bens sweet and sour sauce. Over all it wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't good and the cocktails menu was poor. No classic cocktails. There are definitely many many better places to go for less money. Sorry 😶‍🌫️

Average food, nice little restaurant though. We ordered bread and olives, the bread was griddled but tasted burnt, the balsamic was the syrupy type that you'd normally squirt all over any dish to make it look fancy. We then ordered five small plates, nduja bites were nice, burrata was quite nice too. After that we weren't fond of the rest unfortunately. The masala prawns were served in a sauce that was inedible, the sauce tastes like uncooked curry paste, very bitter. The carbonara was the typical 'English' creamy version, not authentic and very stodgy. And finally the chicken skewers tasted synthetic due to a sweet sauce that they were served with. We'd cancelled a booking at Millers down the road for this but maybe we shouldn't have. It wasn't all bad, but wouldn't return, sorry.

We love the small plates at The Burbs so we were excited to find out they have started to do Sunday roasts, we were not disappointed at all. Hearty portions, yummy beef and chicken, AMAZING vegetables selection on the plate, great service and the most scrumptious gravies to boot.

Ordered the spiced winter greens, which was very warm and cozy, mushroom shawarma tacos were tasty, beef brisket was exquisite and the ‘can you dig it’ pizza was very filling! Overall the ambience and vibe is very chill and welcoming!

Friendly staff greeted us and made us feel welcome. The food (We had Pepperoni Pizza ((10inch)), spinach-blueberry-walnut salad, Battered Okra Fries, butter chicken kebabs) was tasty. Price was good (£41 in total + drinks) and all in all we had a lovely time. Can't recommend the place enough.

Really enjoyed our experience overall. The duck slider was fab. The cacio e Pepe was really poor watery and flavourless but the rest was really nice amazing service would reccomend overall. Thanks

Good food. Nice staff. Small plates is fun. For 4 people, expect to pay about £80-£110 depending if you get a bottle of wine. We picked 3 small plates each + some chips. The pizza was very good. Very tasty.

Delicious...we had a selction of small plates,which were not that small.!! Plenty to share between 2. Lovely combination of flavours...the cod loin was succulent,the rump steak was very tender etc

The service at the ‘Burbs is second to none, we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the food certainly did not disappointed, the tempura chilli bombs are especially not to be missed. The fusion of food on the menu is fabulous and we really could not have asked for more from any of the staff who were incredibly professional yet fun and friendly. I will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!

Slightly late leaving this review, but, we visited in March not long after the restaurant opened. We are HUGE fans of I knead pizza, so were very excited for the opening! Did not disappoint at all and was lovely to have my all time favourite food (I knead pizza) but in a restaurant setting The food was absolutely gorgeous. It was that nice, I still remember it all these months later! We went with another couple who had never tried I knead pizza before and they both said it was the best pizza that they’d ever had. Service was slightly slow, but the food more than made up for it. I’m sure that since March, the front of team have improved anyway, especially considering that the younger members were probably new to their job and were still learning☺️ We CANNOT wait to go back for another double date night!!

This restaurant teams tasty pizza with small plates. I’ve enjoyed their steak, sweet potatoe fries and olives. They also accommodated us for a private venue hire for a naming ceremony. The team looked after us very well

We really enjoyed our first visit to The Burbs. We are a family of 4 (kids 16 & 12) and there was something for all. We had a selection of small plates which were brought out together, however the staff advised we could order more at any time which was a good idea. The atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Staff very attentive. Only 1 issue to note which was the toilets. Seats not secured to base very well and tap in the sink spun around when trying to turn on/off. Just needs a quick fix. Overall our experience was very positive and we will definitely return soon.

We already love I Knead Pizza, so we were very excited to try here and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Pleased to see our favourite I Knead Pizzas are on the menu in a 10inch size, along with an array of small sharing plates. The halloumi fries were perfect, I was dubious about the cherry and lime dip but it was delicious, as were the Chili con carne cheddar doughnuts with their smoked tomato sauce. I later gave some private feed back on a couple little things, to which the restaurant manager responded immediately and took them on board. So 5* for customer service and amazing food, we will be back soon to try more.

No need for air-conditioning, was really cold in restaurant. Mens toilet closed so they using womans. Urine on seats and seat left up.Dirt in sink in toilets. Staff were not really bothered with there customer's not enough customer service as requarding, food ok can I get you anything else. Just food order delivered to table no interaction. We had 7 dishes. One been a pizza. Pizza was good, steak and mash ok. Chilli bomb was exactly that. Overall would not recommend 😒. No return from us x

Sorry wanted to love it but the food wasn't good and was expensive for the quality/ presentation. The staff were extremely slow, chatting behind bar rather than serving people (this excludes the manager she seemed on it). Won't be back sadly.

Had an early finish from work and that was all the excuse needed to get out for a bite to eat. We heard great things about the Burbs so we headed over for an early slot at 4:45 on a Friday. It was quiet at that time but the welcome was warm and friendly and the service unhurried. It's advertised as small plates but I think they are serving Hercules or Thor as they are not small servings. The dishes were quick to arrive, looked great and tasted even better. The spicy tomato sauce that comes with the Mozzarella carrozza is worthy of being bottled and sold to take away. The wine was good, cocktails were delicious and all in all it was a nice evening out. Price wise it is on the high side but I was happy with the venue, service and quality.

Pizza Magic next door has better food

Food was fantastic and the service was incredibly quick and polite. Can’t say enough good things about it. Looking forward to going back to try the new menu!

Brilliant Italian small plates! Had the deep fried mozzarella, scallops, rump steak, fried courgette and the highlight being the lobster ravioli. We are already huge I Knead Pizza fans so we didn't need to try the pizza! Can't fault the food, delicious.

Amazing food as always, had the seafood special that’s on this week and was absolute perfection.
