Venue not as good as previous location. View over golf course wasn't very impressive.

Lovely venue for a friend's birthday party.

Went for Sunday lunch. The venue was slightly 80’s with only around 4 tables booked whilst we were dining. We really didn’t mind as the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was what we made it. The restaurant is within the golf club function room. The food was excellent. For mains my wife had roast beef which was perfectly cooked. I had the chicken with dauphinois potatoes. Again it wasn’t dry but succulent and complimented well with the cream sauce. My children had pasta from the children’s menu with generous portions. The price of the meal for what we got was outstanding. Midweek they do a set menu of two or three courses for less than £15. Will I go back? Absolutely. Probably one of the best kept secrets in the hospitality trade. Unfortunately for us I can’t see it lasting as the word will get round.

Well very very disappointed. Brought my parents here for Boxing day. Been numerous times when it was at The Woodheys, today was not great. Pre-ordered our starters, mains & dessert. The boys had garlic mushrooms, soup and vegetable spring rolls, all said very nice. The prawn cocktail , oh dear , waterer & tasteless. Mains 3 of us had a turkey dinner , a lamb and a beef. We didn't get asked ref how we preferred the beef, unfortunately it was still mooing!!!! Very rare , so dad didn't eat it. Asked for more gravy , had to ask again, by which time nearly finished. Had to keeping getting there attention for more drinks. Then a long wait for desserts. Overall , room not very festive, no table decorations, no Christmas Crackers..... service poor. Very disappointed, could of got the same in our local pub!!!!

Good food but a little expensive

We had our anniversary celebration at Peruga and could not fault the lovely meal and staff. We would definitely recommend.

We went last night as a large group for an Elvis tribute evening. We had a great time. Firstly, the food was really good. I had the mushroom wellington which was really tasty. The dish could have done with a few more vegetables on the plate. 3 courses for £33 was good value for food of this good quality. Secondly the staff and service were great. Sophie did an excellent job of looking after us and Matthew was also very helpful. Next were the drinks. Good quality Merlot for under £20 and the beer was good too. The setting was great for such an evening. Elvis himself entertained us with some well known classics and some less familiar tunes. By the end of the evening lots of people were cavorting on the dancefloor. Everyone left happy, full of good food and entertained. Well done Matthew and his team!!!

We held a family party for around 50 people at Mellor &Townscliffe. The venue was lovely - big room which we were allowed to decorate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet was delicious and plenty of it. Private outdoor space for the kids to run around in. It was a perfect day and couldn't have gone better. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Peruga!

After enjoying many happy family meals and occasions at Peruga on Glossop Road over the years we were very disappointed with our first visit at Mellor Golf Club. Not a patch on what it was before.We did , however, enjoy our pre-dinner drinks on the outside terrace. Nothing wrong with service just food and atmosphere disappointing (which may have been because we were the only people in there).

First visit to Peruga since it’s move to Mellor Golf Club and it was extremely disappointing. Starters looked like they came from Iceland, the burger then arrived and it was very basic and the Stilton tasted like it had been sat in the fridge for a few months, it was inedible. We were the only people in the restaurant all night.

We went to the restaurant on Friday for a family meal. There were 8 of us and it was the best afternoon we had for ages.The chef was outstanding as the food was the best we have tasted for a long time. We all had different meals and Franko who was looking after us couldn’t do enough for us especially when we were changing the menu for our different tastes. He was very patient and we loved him. We are definitely going to recommend the restaurant to our friends and we will be back .

We visited Peruga for the first time at Mellor golf club. It was steak night and our experience was delightful. The service was excellent as was the food. We will be visiting again soon.

First time visiting the new location. Same great service and food. Had the lamb which was cooked beautifully. My fiancé enjoyed her chicken and our daughter was very happy with her fish and chips. Excellent thank you.

The meals were well worth the price, the service was quick and the staff were polite and friendly! Franco especially was very welcoming and delightful to us. I fully recommend Peruga at Mellor!
