Very good place indeed, fantastic food and atmosphere but also friendly staff too.

I've consistently had a good time here with friends. Food is delicious and so reasonable with the early bird offer. The new pizza oven is fantastic, would recommend.

Watch out for toothpicks being in the steak😕then to be told by the chef it’s ok it hasn’t been used😡 not that it’s a chocking hazard 🤯

My son booked a table for us this weekend again, we loved it so much that I have to write a review about it. We were here on New Year's Eve I had the Fillet steak pepper sauce cooked to perfection, and my husband had the chicken dish with prawns he was delighted it was very busy, not a disappointment at all, Thank you see you again soon. Best steak house.

Absolutely beautiful food, booked a table for 10 for a birthday meal. The place was packed out, staff brilliant 👏 atmosphere the same. No messing about in this place, all orders bang on, quick service food wow, 10 very happy customers.

Really nice food, always served fresh. Staff are friendly and there is something for everyone. Highly recommended. Having been to Italy, no difference in the quality.

Have got very fond of the Italian and started to go on a regular basis, however the last visit was a major disappointment the Chicken and Basil dish was bland, the sauce was watery and my Lasagne was at best warm in the centre. Hopefully, just a bad day in the kitchen .. a one-off.

Best Italian restaurant by far. Been here on multiple occasions. Ordered for starters cheesy garlic bread and penne el forno and the prawn linguine for mains. Bread needed a bit more cheese on it tbh however the mains were delicious especially the penne el forno. Service 10/10. Will continue to go to this place as we love it.

We usually go here before an event at the Forum. Always lively, brilliant staff, and lovely food. Give the olive oil ice cream a go! Olive ice cream not on the menu last night, but peanut butter ice cream was! Very reasonable prices (early bird menu), nice starter (dolcelatte funghi) and main (Carbonara di mare with mussels and haddock). Always busy, even at times you'd not expect it to be, so perhaps booking is an essential. Not particularly quiet when busy.

1st time customers....food was fantastic and the atmosphere was really good. Will definitely come back again.

THE food and service are excellent, but I find the garlic bread at 13.95 and the Coca Cola at £5. extortionate.

Love it, food is great and freshly cooked - kitchen is open so very visible. Good service by friendly staff and prices very reasonable. Will be going again thats for sure.

Always a super friendly authentic Italian family restaurant. The "new" downstairs area is a bit quieter which is great if you're chatting, plus you can watch/smell the pizzas being prepared and cooked. Fantastico! 🇮🇹

We had a really nice meal. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Two starters, mains, a side and 2 drinks each came to about £60. The service was a tiny bit slow but the place was packed so that’s to be understood and the staff were all really nice. Lovely atmosphere! The gnocchi zuccotti was superb!

My favourite restaurant can't beat it . We've been going for 30 years best ever.

So where do I start went here for the first time well wow I'm arriving we walked in and the smile from the young lady if you would like to head upstairs the staff will look after you and take you to your table we were early went upstairs and the charming waiter said the people at your table are just paying if you would like to take a seat downstairs we will call you when ready with on 5 mins we were seated at our table we ordered our food starters and mains and the starters came 15 minutes later well the garlic mushrooms with blue cheese sauce was to die for the garlic bread and tomato based garlic bread the best I've had in years no wonder the the place is booming the chefs and waiting on staff make the place amazing everything was sensational until it came to paying which left me annoyed asked waiter if I could pay the owner/ manager over heard and said card machines here his next comment from the manager was you pay me he is just a waiter left me annoyed that waiter was amazing and my only thought how ignorant to say that you wouldn't be were you were now with out that waiter or the rest of the staff. Remember you look after your staff your staff will look after your customers .

I booked a few weeks in advance for my mum and dad on a Sat evening. They can get very busy!!! Mum and Dad (who are very hard to please and impress) said it was the best Italian meal they have had outside of Italy. Enjoyed the food, house wines and atmosphere. Well done The Italian - we will be back as family for sure.

Lovely staff, discounted prices on a Wednesday, great atmosphere as full of families and birthday parties. Generous portions, beautifully cooked and presented. Good beers and wines. A great Napoli restaurant!

It was quite disappointing. I was recommended this place, and they have a massive section for gluten and vegan friendly options, so I was quite excited to try.. They didn't have any vegan cheese in stock, so I didn't have a pizza and opted for a pasta dish. The gluten-free pasta was really overcooked and just tasteless. As I can't have cream based dish, I had a tomato base dish, but it literally was just tomato sauce out the jar with some mushrooms and a few chicken pieces.

I have been going to the Italian for years .Lovely people and great service atmosphere and food.Can not fault it .Just make sure you book as it is really good and gets fully booked quickly .Will be seeing them all again soon

First visit and won’t be our last. Very impressed by the extensive menu which offers lots of GF options. All dishes were fantastic with great taste and cooked to perfection. Staff were knowledgeable and recommended a brilliant white wine for us. Only critique would be the ribs. Pretty fatty but brilliant flavour and very enjoyable

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The pesto pasta is to die for. So is the garlic bread with tomato. The atmosphere is always loud and warm and our food comes to us within 8 mins. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and welcoming and the toilets are clean and hygienic.

Delicious, affordable food in an authentic restaurant. What’s not to like? Pizzas, pastas, meat dishes. They’re also incredibly welcoming and accommodating of families with children. The restaurant will often be fully booked so booking a couple of weeks in advance is recommended.

Always liked this place, but their pizzas used to be just ok. Not anymore. Real fast baked Neopolitan pizzas that match Rudy’s. Don’t know when they changed, just glad they have. Got to be one of the best Italian restaurants in south Manchester and it does great offers from Sunday to Thursday. Great to see it so busy. So many delicious things to try, including an interesting cocktail menu. Lovely deserts that all look homemade. Highly recommended 👍

Very busy, but no problem on the service. Nice little restaurant.

Waited for over an hour after ordering 2 starters and 2 mains, asked 3 times about our order as people around us had finished 3 courses while our starters nowhere to be seen. The waiter arrived with a garlic bread that neither of us ordered. On that note we decided to leave and won't be returning, worse service I've ever experienced.

Great place for some Italian Cuisine! Food: Quality of the food was great. The garlic bread and pizza toppings were certainly nice. The base of the pizza's are good however not my favourite (they are in the middle between a deep pan and thin crust style). Service: The service was a little longer than expected after ordering our meals. We did have a group of 9 which may have added to the wait time. Could be improved. Atmosphere: Great atmosphere with authentic style decor and ambient music in the background. The restaurant is located on the main road, so parking can be tricky. There is the Romiley station car park or side street parking available.

An amazing Italian restaurant! Everything was cooked fresh and cooked perfectly, I had the whitebait to start and the Tuna steak linguine, both were seasoned perfectly! The cocktails we had were also excellent! I am definitely coming back and recommending this place to friends!

Went on Friday for the first time to the Italian after recently moving near the area and was blown away. Superb venue, service and food was delightful. Can’t wait to return!

The food here is actually very decent - seems authentic as an Italian menu and I was very pleased to see lots of vegan options - keep it going guys! My one criticism is that it’s so manic busy that it’s almost impossible to have a quiet conversation or a romantic dinner..the restaurant runs ‘family nights’ so it’s a sorely rammed full of multiple families with lots of very loud children - so if you want a romantic evening just beer this in mind

Really lovely restaurant in Romiley that serves a,along food and cocktails. I love that they have a separate vegan menu which is excellent and contains some of the classic Italian dishes that vegans miss out in a lot. The cocktails are really good too. It is a family friendly restaurant but wouldn’t call it a romantic date night restaurant. The staff are really friendly and attentive. They gave great recommendation from the menu too.

Great little gaff, packed on a Wednesday evening, absolute testament to how good the food and drinks menu is in here. The BBQ sauce blew my mind, and the pizza was bang on. Great service from Igor, Millie and Eva.

Finally dined in after many a takeaway from here, and were not disappointed!! The food was absolutely delicious and the service is so friendly. Cocktails were fab and they were able to put certain things on/off each dish as they're all made to order. Lovely evening and we'll be back... a lot!

We have wanted to visit here for a while and tonight we were near the area and thought let's go! Wow, it did not disappoint. Been coming here for many years never been disappointed. Food is exceptional and great value for money. Staff are brilliant and pleasant and welcoming. We would like them to share the spare ribs recipe however I fear that I will never receive said recipe 🙂
