I couldn’t fault the service or the food during my visit this evening. We were served by a young lady who, despite it being her first day, was absolutely fantastic. If I hadn’t been told, I would never have guessed she was new! She made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable throughout the meal. I feel awful for not catching her name, but she truly went above and beyond, contributing to a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

4 of us ordered food, 2 jackets, 1 combi platter which all felt like frozen items fried and served with salad, not great but not terrible either. I ordered a cheese and onion pie with gravy as it was on the menu, I just said pie and pointed to it so didn't think to specify, 25 minutes wait later our food turned up and I got cottage pie put in front of me, they offered to change it for me but because everyone else had their food after a wait I felt obligated to accept it and it wasn't nice, the mince had clearly been defrosted as the mince beef clumped up. Felt really shitty eating it as I really fancied a cheese pie. The server hadn't bothered to clarify which pie I wanted not did they repeat the order back to us as the order was taken, poor customer service if you ask me. We won't be back. The venue was nice, the staff were friendly but oversights like this ruin the experience. Cottage pie would have been the last thing I would have ordered, I really really dislike it, but of course I'm too English to send it back. Nor did they offer to knock anything off the bill for the mess up.

This maybe a Garden Centre restaurant but the food and service is outstanding. My wife usually has the Sea Bass and I always have the large fish and chips. The food is excellent. The chef Simon, offers a great range of snacks and lunches. I am a fish and chips lover. Just ask for vinegar as and a small pot of tomato sauce. There is a lot more to choose from from the menu. Enjoy.

I am unable to provide a favourable review but assume the cafe is doing well if they're confident enough to turn customers away in a curt manner. The sign on the door clearly stated that they are open from 9am until 9pm on the day we visited at 2.50 pm (Friday) but the waitress made us feel like we had been foolish to try and look at the menu and even said that they don't serve after 3pm. We preferred to walk out than let her know the correct time, but, it would have been even earlier if they had spoken to us when we arrived. We won't be back for a second first impression. Update to review following reply. The times of last orders are not mentioned on the door nor on the Menu. The table was laid out with menus and cutlery, which to an unknowing customer appears inviting. If drinks were available between 3-5 then why were we not asked if we would like drinks? However, kitchen preparation times and staff breaks are not a responsibility of your customers making that an irrelevant comment. Friendly, courteous and well trained staff would have been able to inform us, without talking to us like we had done something wrong. Therefore I believe that under these circumstances, my rating was very fair and accurate.

We stopped off for breakfast which turned out to be very nice. Food was really nice. I had a full English breakfast my wife had poached eggs on homemade wholemeal bread with bacon. service was friendly and efficient. We will visit again when in the area.
