Portions were big, sauce was nice, delivered at a specific time which was appreciated. Chicken was nice but we've had better quality elsewhere and chips were soggy even those not near sauce.

We are staying in a holiday cottage locally & after visiting Wastwater came for lunch. I had tuna mayo sandwich and my husband had a sausage sandwich. I had a cold drink & Terry, a coffee. There was a nice fresh salad with the tuna sandwich. I did find the filling quite bland as it didn't have any seasoning. It was a generous helping though. The salad was nice. The property itself needs some TLC, particularly outside as the tables and chairs all have peeling cracked paint. You can hear the river rushing along which is lovely and robins visit the tables for crumbs.

Superb food and service, I did say to the chap it was the best tuna/mayo baguette I have had and I've around for a few years. My good lady said the same about the bacon and brie baguette. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Also seems a local favourite. A gem. 👍👍👍

Ordered the shakshuka for brunch and it was DELICIOUS! One of the best brekkies I’ve had in the area. Generous serve with a good combination of flavour and the sourdough bread in the side was so fresh. Great coffee and friendly service. Will be back!

Not gonna lie, it's not cheap here. But the menu is on the window, you know what to expect if you visit here price wise. My meal was £16.65 for a breakfast and a cup of tea. It was a large full English though, and the tea came in a pot, so it was enough for 2 cups. The quality of the food was exceptional. My only slight niggle was the beans were runny, not thick (you know when you always try to buy Heinz or Branston rather than own brand beans from the supermarket, you can tell the difference). But the sausages, black pudding, eggs, mushrooms were all high quality and cooked very well. Service was great, prompt and attentive and the food was cooked and served quickly. I was an early bird and first in at 0945 but by 10am it was already busy and to guarantee a table you should book in advance. Definitely would recommend trying here. If I was rich, I'd have breakfast here everyday.

My neice booked this restaurant for her anniversary meal for the family. What a lovely experience! There was around 25 of us, we had pre ordered our starters and mains which all came out nice and hot and on time. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome and the food was very tasty, a great variety on the menu, pizza base/ garlic breads were perfect. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Thanks Luciano's.
