Luciano's at Chorley in Chorley

Busy place in the town centre with friendly staff and a busy vibe. Seating is comfortable in the booths and it is great seeing the activity in the open kitchen. Tasty food and not too expensive although it would be good to see some veg included with the mains rather than just fries or salad. We paid extra for veg and got pepper and aubergine. Not everyone's cup of tea. I'll ask what it is next time. All in all an enjoyable experience and worth a visit.

I don't know why this place gets high ratings the food is not very nice and very expensive and trust me I have eaten in a lot of restaurants all over the world maybe It was just an off day but willing to give it another try 1 day

Decent atmosphere of a restaurant but maybe too noisy for those looking for a more intimate night . Service was generally good although it wouldn't be my choice to have 5 different service staff. I had the £29 steak ,chips and pepper sauce with a £5 green leaf side salad . The steak was cooked perfectly how I'd asked for it ,the chips were decent and side salad ok however I had to send the pepper sauce back . It tasted like it looked, boiled watery pale milky with hard peppercorns floating in it . I tasted it before adding to my steak thankfully. After sending it away with one waiter I was approached at the table by another older waiter who was quite passive aggressive asking me to explain exactly what was wrong with the sauce so I told him . He looked dismissive with no apology. Then a third even more mature waiter passed asking what was wrong so I explained again . He offered me a different sauce and I said I would try the mushroom sauce instead . A soup bowl arrived and squashed onto the small table at the side of me. Again the sauce was jus like in consistency instead of creamy but tasted ok in comparison to the pepper sauce but still far from good . I mentioned the cost of my meal as I think restaurants need to know that when charging £34 for steak ,chips sauce and side salad they should perhaps taste the sauces they are serving . I did in fact ask if they had tasted the sauce to which I got no reply . It didn't totally spoil my meal or evening at this restaurant but I wouldn't visit here again . The 3 other people I was dining with all enjoyed their pasta meals.

Sadly we felt we were crammed in as 4 adults with a high chair. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy but they placed other diners very close together leaving large areas of the restaurant empty. This created a slightly noisy and cramped dining experience. The food and drink were excellent as was the service from the variety waiters we had. I felt that the optional service charge added to the bill was rather cheeky for only a 4 adult and 1 baby table (almost £12). This was reduced to £5 which I felt was fair as the dining options are already at a premium cost. Sadly no blue light discount was offered while we asked, this discount is available at other competitive Italian restaurants in the vicinity, I'd recommend Luciano's for the quality of food but a beneficial discount for blue light card members and the removal of the optional service charge should be considered in the future.

Don’t be fooled by the surroundings. £13 for a prawn starter with only 3 prawns!! Sloppy mess of a pizza, zero customer service. Terrible experience. Was offered a free shot after our justified complaint… no thanks.

4 seems a bit low but not quite the 5 for me sorry. Stopped in here for dinner on the way to Lake District so my tiredness might have been a factor! Good service and atmosphere. I had the seabass which was ok and a glass of montepulciano which was also ok, but just felt that for 31 pounds it was a bit overpriced. If I could have scored out of 100 it would have been high 80s so still a great place to visit

Myself and my friend visited Lucianos Chorley last night. My friend is gluten-free and the Waitress took time to talk her through what she could have from the menu. The food was beautiful as always, and our waiter was absolutely on the ball with everything! We eat out often and the service here is unmatched. Thank you so much!

Great place for that intimate evening meal or family special occasion. Weekend in the summer they have an out door area serving pitza, chips and other snacks with a play area for the children great wines and beer selections.

A really good spot for dinner. Really good menu, quality food and quality, attentive service. The atmosphere was great, although a little loud for some of our group. I had the goats cheese bon bon’s to start, a perfectly sized starter that is really tasty and doesn’t over fill. I had the salad with chicken for my main course, which had a wonderful array of ingredients on the plate and a really tasty chicken breast. I came away from the restaurant feeling satisfied but not over full - something that can really spoil my evening. All the diners at our table enjoyed their food and we will book to go again, I’m sure.

Good staff, busy atmosphere. A little loud and a little overpriced

A group of 11 of us went one Friday night for a farewell meal for a colleague. We were booked in for 6-30pm, but by the time everyone turned up it was roughly 7-30pm. It was very busy with several other parties, and also quite loud. The service staff were excellent and worked their socks off, all the while smiling. I had pate to start with toasted bruschetta, delicious. I then had risotto which was mushroom, again very tasty. There was only one choice of risotto which was a shame, but nonetheless good. I didn't manage a sweet as I was full, but there looked to be a few on offer. The large public car park just at the side of Lucianos is free parking after 5pm. It was approximately £23 for what I had, which seems about average. They added a £33 service charge on which I'm not sure if that was just for parties, or if they add a service charge anyway.

1st time here, went on my own, chilled and welcoming. Superb bruscheta followed by seared sea bass on tagliatelle with pesto. 👌

A regular place for us to eat. Great carbonara and cheesy garlick bread. Staff are always lovely here too. Would recommend a visit

We popped in on a wet afternoon for a coffee and cake. We happened to let slip it was our 3 year old's birthday and before we knew it there was surprise cake, ice-cream, candle and birthday singing for him. It was very thoughtful and welcoming. Thank you to the 2 kind young men who looked after us so well.

We came to Luciano’s for our work Christmas do, we had a table of 20 people. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful throughout. The food was delicious, it all came out together and there wasn’t one single issue. Definitely recommending to everyone I know! thank you very much☺️

Ok, so booked a table for 4 no problem. Taken to the table. Problem. 4 of us sat on what can only be described as a table for 2. The ones near the windows. No chance. No chance for 2 drinks, a bottle of wine and cooler and then food. Impossible. Even the staff agreed. Speaking of staff the young lad with with curly permed hair at the front even realised this and looked to look ing us. This lad was Lovely and a credit to the service. However the older girl , maybe the manager with blonde shoulder length hair was ignorant. She would not wait until we selected a wine off the menu and said she would return. She didn’t. Instead just stood at the side of the bar watching all the other younger ones do the work. If she is not a boss or the manager then I would show her the p45 as she was not welcoming and had a very long face as she clearly did not want to be there. So the food service was good. No issues. The food itself was good. No complaints. The complaints we had was ordering a bottle of wine at £36 which costs just £11.95. That is very excessive. Then when the final bill came it was a £135 for bottle of wine, 2 cokes, a child’s moktail, 3 pizzas, 2 garlic bread, 2 fries and a small pasta dish. Oh I forgot the big £12 plus service charge added without consent or notice. Not happy. So all in all it’s not put us off but not happy about a service charge added without explanation and be careful about the wine. You will be paying 3 times as much for your bottle. Robbery

Dined here on a Friday night with no advanced booking. The staff were happy to sit us at the bar whilst we chose a drink and glanced at the menu which we were more than happy to do. Our server was very friendly and polite and helped us select a lovely bottle of red. After having a relax at the bar and discus the delicious options and a parties intolerances we were led to our table. Food was very nice with plenty of gluten free options and our server was exceptionally knowledgable of the menu. We had a lovely evening with delicious food and tasty wine. I would recommend and I will be back :) Thankyou for a wonderful evening with personable interaction and not a QR code in sight!

This is the BEST resturant i have been to recently. The service is exelent and they notice everything that is wrong. I would defidently come here again.

My neice booked this restaurant for her anniversary meal for the family. What a lovely experience! There was around 25 of us, we had pre ordered our starters and mains which all came out nice and hot and on time. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome and the food was very tasty, a great variety on the menu, pizza base/ garlic breads were perfect. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Best meal we have had out in Chorley for a while. Me and the wife both had the tagliatelle diavola. Only £12 and we got loads of steak in it. We will be going back again soon

Great food and service! Calm atmosphere. I've been there with my partner several times now, it has to be our favourite place!

Me and my partner had booked for 7pm but had got there early at 6:45, wasn’t an issue, immediately sat us and handed us our menus. We started off with a couple of espresso martinis before ordering a calamari starter, gnocci main and spaghetti carbonara main. I’d never had calamari and I quite enjoyed it, my partner said it was the best he’d had in a long time! Our mains were spot on too! Couldn’t fault them! Afterwards we squeezed in a sweet treat, me ordering profiteroles and my partner ordering the tiramisu, both which tasted amazing! The staff were very attentive throughout and ensured we was happy with everything too! Everything was perfect! Came to paying, it came to £70 with a service charge of £6 which I wasn’t aware of so we tipped in cash aswell, other than that, we were made up with our service and food and would definitely be back again!

Hardly anyone in but had to wait..My starter was not fresh and my husband's celery soup unedible..it looked like ice sludge and tasted of nothing .he sent it back and got Pate instead which was ok.Shared a pizza 🍕 as main which was ok .2 glasses of wine..bill came to £55 ..wouldn't go again. SORRY

What an amazing italian restaurant!! Fi4st time being here and booked for our anniversary meal. Brilliant greeting when we arrived and staff were super friendly. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The starters were just the right size and tasted brilliant. The pasta was so fresh and tasty. Then they tempted us with desserts. Such a good meal and would recommended this to anybody who loves Italian food. We will be back.

We'd returned from holiday and had an extra couple of days off, so visited to finish our holiday off properly. So glad we did, the lobster ravioli is fantastic (one of, if not the, best I've ever had) and the pizzas are excellent!!! Service was great, just enough to know you're being looked after, without being intrusive. We're so lucky to live in Chorley with this on our doorstep, already planning our next visit!

I have been to Lucianos a few times now and I have always enjoyed it. This evening, we booked to celebrate my daughter's 11th birthday. I arrived in the afternoon to drop off balloons and a cake which was no problem at all. When we arrived the staff made a big fuss of my daughter who was very adamant that they knew it was her birthday and the service was impeccable throughout. As a large group we shared two portions of garlic bread with cheese between us to start (highly recommended) and had an array of pizzas, pastas, and a steak as our mains all of which were divine. I'm so pleased I chose Lucianos to host a family celebration. We had an amazing evening and I definitely now have this in mind for future events! Highly recommended and kudos to all of the staff who ensured high-quality food and service throughout.

Came out for a birthday meal, our waiter Aaron was amazing, friendly and courtious, he served our food with great customer service and our expectations was blown out of the water as he catered to our every needs. We will definitely be coming again and will be spreading the news of the amazing service and excellent customer service.

Thought I would try this Italian restaurant in the centre of Chorley. Heard mixed reviews, so I thought I would review it for myself. Arrived at the restaurant to be asked if we had a booking, we hadn't but didn't expect it to be too much of a problem. The waiter was a little stand offish and made us feel like an inconvenience but found us a table ( of which there were a few). Once seated, we waited 30 minutes to order drinks and a main. We waited another 40 minutes for our food and drinks to arrive despite prompting the waiter we had been waiting for a while. The food was good quality but nothing you couldn't find at another local Italian. Once we had finished our meal and drinks, we then waited another 30 minutes to be approached by a waiter who offered dessert. We politely declined and asked for the bill. No one returned for another 20 minutes, so we just walked to the counter and paid. Overall the food was good quality but the atmosphere and staff customer service was much to be desired.

I have been here twice now. The food is hit and miss a little. The first time I came with my Mrs everything was PERFECT, but last time we went, the garlic bread with cheese was very greasy and we didn't really enjoy our mains either. I asked for my steak medium, but it came medium rare or pretty close to rare. It is a nice place and everyone is very helpful but the food needs to be more consistent. I don't know if they just have different chefs. Maybe that's what it is. Anyway, apart from that, it's a great place.

The food here is absolutely fantastic as is the ambience of the restaurant and the waiters are very attentive, the only thing that surprised us was when we were presented with the bill on our second visit to be told there was a service charge. Considering that it was Valentine’s Day, we felt we were put on the spot and we paid the service charge. To be perfectly honest, this has put us off going back. There is nothing bad to be said about the food or the staff

Had the tagliatelle with sea bass, genuinely lovely, crispy skin with fork tender yet not overcooked flesh, and seemingly fresh pesto. Genuinely impressed. The staff was friendly and a little theatrical with the cheese and pepper, which I appreciate despite how annoying it must be for the staff. Throughly recommend.

No allergen menu provided despite asking on the phone if they have them as I have a severe nut allergy. staff were unhelpful and huddled together just talking amongst themselves instead of helping or anything. Food portions were really small

First time here... very impressed.. really buzzing atmosphere even at a 17.30 booking. Food was good, great selection and portions were spot on! The. lasagne was HUGE!

I was just looking for a place to fill my stomach before a football match. After walking around in chorley town centre and seeing this restaurant, I decided to try it. I ordered a set meal with the starters - Costolette do Maiale (slow cooker pork ribs) and mains - Risotto Funghi, totally is £18. The pork ribs were so tender that the meat fell off the bones easily. But it seemed a little too salty in taste. Risotto Funghi is sticky and delicious, and well in seasoned. I would say it is one of the best Italian restaurant in Lancashire, great food and service. Definitely worth visiting again.

Been to Lucianos numerous times, the food as always was amazing but today the service was extremely poor from the two waiters on duty. The young lady who escorted us to our table and took our drinks order was efficient and polite. We waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for someone to take our food order, although restaurant wasn't overly busy. After eating our meal one of the waiters came to clear our table, my husband asked if I would like a sweet, after 20minutes I still hadn't received a menu, so my husband asked the young lady for our bill. After it was paid then the waiter came with the dessert menu, no explanation. A thoroughly disappointing visit.

Food OK nothing more. Service appalling,said it was shift change but had to cancel desserts and coffee. Not planning to go back.

The restaurant is beautiful,the staff are very attentive but not intrusive,full marks there,the lovely waitress even tried to give us our tip back as there is a service charge( which I didn't appreciate.) The drinks were lovely,but not having your most expensive bottle of champagne not in stock is a bit of an error.The champagne selection imo is poor.Pol Roger is so much better than Moet. Now the food,the arrancini was bland and lacking in seasoning or the taste of good risotto rice.The garlic tomato bread on the reverse was very salty ( the dough was lovely) my Husband sent his steak back as it was tough and extremely rare.This was dealt with very well and taken off the bill.The puddings were just "ok" your bread and butter Italian puddings tiramisu and canolli should be better than ok.All in all we had a good night,the staff were exceptional,but the food wasn't what I was expecting,more vegetarian pasta dishes and starters required ( please not goats cheese) A simple tomato spaghetti can be a show stopper if done correctly......
