Delicious curry. Fabulous service. So lucky to have this little gem of an Indian in Prestwich/Whitefield.

Food was very good and they couldn't do enough for you service wise. The only let down was how much they crammed people in, it was the only let down not being able to enjoy the meal without bumping arms with people each side of you.

Wouldn't go anywhere else, food is fantastic. Staff are great,pleasant and polite, nothing too much trouble for them. Been going there for many years and wouldn't change. Fabulous 💖

Brought my wife here for her birthday midweek. Chose Blue bay after seeing the review. Food was excellent and staff were great. Cannot complin at all. I have a big appetite and have brought home leftovers. Will definitely come again and may try take away.

Consistently good food. Service is prompt, nice pint of Cobra too. It can get very busy on Friday especially, so make sure to book!

I was recommended this Indian from a self-proclaimed Indian connoisseur. And let me tell ya, it hit the spot. Lamb chomps - exquisite. Fish pakora - fantastic. Star the starter show - chicken saag puri (you heard it first, get on it). Blue Bay special for main - 10/10, mopped up with a roti and mushroom rice, chef’s kiss. However, what made this meal so good was the fantastic service, particularly from our guy Bee. Thanks for a fantastic night guys, we’ll be back (as I’m sure you already know). Nelly and Ben x

The restaurant was quiet as it was a euro football night. The food was good. The service was OK, but it did feel they were distracted somewhat due to the football.

We go to this restaurant it might not be on a regular basis but they are usually very nice and chatty and know us. But tonight very disappointed as very rushed no conversation or rappour just felt they wanted to get on with our meal and get us gone. They brought our bill when we hadn't finished and when I said are you trying to get rid of us they said we close at 10.30pm if that was the case when we went in they should have in formed us of this as we were served at 9.30pm . When left nobody said goodnight to us when we did very disappointed

The food here is really good and this restaurant has been open many years. My girlfriends and I came here for a meal last week. The service was very strange. The older waiter was really nice to us and his service was excellent. However there was a young male waiter who also served us. He was very off with us, only saying yes and no, and there certainly were a few no's with out explanation!? Not sure I would go back again!

Blue Bay was recommended by a colleague of my partner. And I'm glad it was. The food was simply outstanding. We were greeted straightaway just after opening. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the ambience is excellent. The menu is full of the traditional curries as well as a number of specials and unusually different curries. Will definitely be back and we hope to make this out regular curry place- will even try it as a takeaway! 5-stars to the team! Keep up the great work!

Always great food and service at Blue Bay

This Indian Restaurant is our "Go to Restaurant " for either Takeaway or for eating in. The Staff are always so accommodating, helpful and friendly and the Food is just excellent. There is no better Indian in Whitefield.

Came to the Blue Bay for the first time and certainly won’t be the last . Food and staff were spot on. We normally go to Rusholme for a curry but after finding this place we won’t have to travel as far for a good meal . Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good Indian meal.

Naz & the guys at Blue Bay took on the challenge of catering for 28 of the Sedgley Tigers Under 16 Rugby Team players & coaches!! No small undertaking! After a tough match, in which they were victorious, the lads were ready for a victory feast!! Upon arrival at Blue Bay the welcome was magnificent, with drinks & delicious starters brought out with military efficiency!! The mixed starter dishes were fantastic & gave the lads the opportunity to sample starter dishes that they may not have ordered themselves (but will next time!); they all went down a treat with the players & coaches alike! To follow the starters 6 dishes were laid out in a buffet style arrangement, accompanied by rice & endless naan bread!! The buffet style again gave the lads the chance to sample multiple dishes…… & to go back for more!!!! Every dish was prepared to absolute perfection with a great variety of flavours and strength of heat, to suit all palates! When the head chef came out to see how everything was going he received a rapturous cheer & round of applause!! The whole experience was sensational from start to finish!! We cannot thank Naz & all the guys at Blue Bay enough; needless to say we will all be back time & time again! Massive Thanks from us all!! 🏉 +🍛 = 😁 👏👏👏

Great restaurant and friendly staff. Went mid-week so it was quite quiet so they put all the guests in one area, still plenty of room but created a nice atmosphere. All food ordered was great and spiced well and the speed of service was good.

Went for the first time last night and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were so lovely. They welcomed us in and made suggestions on what we might like and offered to adapt meals if we wanted. The food was delicious! It was also my birthday so they brought me out a piece of cake and we had a complimentary night cap. The staff were so chatty and really looked after us so we’ll definitely be back!!

We visited here with friends. First time visit. We were early and given the warmest of welcomes. One of the owners sat and explained the menu asking what type of Indian food we normally chose. He then gave us some recommendations As a result of this we chose different dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. The starters were plentiful and the main courses were just so tasty. It is a fantastic restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food cooked exactly the way you want. I asked for fewer spices. If you are in the area pleae go. You wont regret it. Highly recommended.

First time visit to Blue Bay restaurant, We were a group of 17 people and one wheelchair user. From start to finish, we looked after the food was fantastic, we all enjoyed it, the service from the staff was excellent. Very relaxing atmosphere, and I can't wait for our next visit. I had the Afghan lamb and a few beers. The staff were really nice but the food was a bit on the expensive side. You can get a takeaway and have much bigger portions and nicer food at home for less from saffron down the road. If you're going out with the boys then ye, blue Bay is the one, but if your birds preggo and moaning for a curry to help push the nipper out, defo go for saffron

Me and my boyfriend have just moved into the area and found this restaurant on recommendation and it did not disappoint. Food was outstanding and Bee was especially accommodating. We will be coming back again for sure.

We had gone for dinner at this delightful restaurant and we had the most wonderful service and care given. We were a group of 4 and all of us vegetarian the Manager and the Chef were extra helpful. The Chef came out and discussed with us what we would like to eat and he made it all specially for us, we were so appreciative for this and the food was absolutley delicious.

Five stars!!! Blue Bay restaurant in Whitefield is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for delicious food and great service. The food is freshly cooked and bursting with flavor, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying meal. In addition, Muksy the waiter provides excellent service with a friendly and welcoming attitude. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend giving Blue Bay a try if you're in the area.

Have lived in the area forever and never visited this gem of a restaurant before. Lovely friendly service (big hello to our waiter Muksy who was brilliant) and delicious food all freshly cooked. Will be coming back time and time again and very glad we found it (PS one of the few Indian restaurants open in Prestwich/Whitefield on a Monday night)

Visited my sister this weekend and she wanted to try somewhere new. Google review placed Blue Bay on top. We walked there, passing many restaurants and curry houses along the way. All pretty much empty. We get to the Blue Bay and it is full of busy. Lots of tables with staff serving. The Google reviews that made us go weren't lying. We got good banter from the staff, good atmosphere, clean restaurant, good toilets and most importantly very good food. I wouldn't hesitate in going back that.

Went for my brothers birthday meal, the pints were excellent and the food was out of this world. I had a lamb tikka madras and it was beautiful will be going back for my bday in April, thanks to the hard working lovely staff :)

Not really a buffet. Poppadoms were served on the table to start off. Then we were all given a plate of starters each which compromised of a filo pastry chicken samosa, onion bhaji, spicy chicken wing, a seek kebab, a broccoli pakora and a bit of salad. Then came the main course which was the 'buffet' part you could say. A plate of small naan breads were rationed for us and placed on our table. The only dishes that we could help ourselves to were about three choices of chicken and lamb curry, two choices of vegetable and one choice of rice which was pilau. That's it! I would totally not recommend this place if you're looking for a buffet.

Great food & customer service. Lovely restaurant with a relaxed authentic vibe. Staff were very helpful in boxing any leftover food. We will be returning for a takeaway or sit-down meal.

Dined here and had deliveries on a number of occasions this year and the food and service is consistently good. I visited here last night. I ordered poppadom's with pickle tray, a prawn cocktail starter, Balti main and a flake chocolate sweet to finish. For drinks I had Cobra beers and double Cointreau's. The food and table service was excellent. I also enjoyed the water...

Just been here for a meal the food was very nice but one of the staff was mopping the floor with a really strong smelling bleach/ disinfectant, we had nearly finished the meal when this was happening but it was so off putting and the smell was so strong it was so inappropriate to be mopping the floors while customers were still sat at the table eating, they should wait until they are closed before they start cleaning and mopping, it has put me right off and I most certainly will not be going there again.

Really nice food, only issue was the parking not much selection.

Went here for the first time last week and just had to come back again the week after , the restaurant has a really comfortable feel about it , we were fit in even though we hadn’t made a booking and they were very busy to ,food was beautiful staff were just lovely and a massive plus for me is you are left alone to enjoy your meal we were asked once if everything was ok then just normal chat if they passed our table I can’t stand it when staff are constantly coming over asking if everything is ok it’s the most annoying thing ever if I needed anything they were there , that’s how it should be , the only is even though the restaurant as quite a few deserts on the menu we need more plz 😋😋

Unreal chicken razalla curry. Tasted very similar to Levenshulme Mazzas chicken shashlick. Just as good. Spot on place!

Not happy. I ordered a chicken chilli mirchi masala takeaway and when got home it wasn't spicy. It had chickpeas in it and nuts.dont think I will b going back. Shame because all the other takeaways I've had from them have been good but what the heck was that???

Well tonight after many years of driving past I tried Blue Bay Indian restaurant. We were the first customers in just after 5pm. I’ve dined at pretty much every Indian in Manchester over the last 30+ years and I’m happy to say this was amazing! I wish I’d gone any years ago. Service was lovely, bill very reasonable and a complimentary drink at the end. The flavours of the chefs specials were amazing. King prawns were real KING prawns. All in all 10/10 We’ll be back!!

I aim to eat here once a month. The choice of dishes is amazing and the food always first class. The staff are friendly and efficient. The standards of cleanliness also excellent. I have worked my way through the menu and have never been disappointed.

Blue Bay used to be our regular Indian take away and restaurant night out. Haven't been in a long while and it's still just as nice. This is our go to place when meeting up with friends. Staff are lovely and the food is very nice.
