The Social Trattoria in Cheshire East

We went for a meal with 2 of our friends and from the beginning the whole experience was excellent, the young lady who served us was lovely and smiley..our food was amazing, we often holiday in Italy but I can honestly say our Pizza and pasta dishes were better than we get when we’re away!!! We also thought it was great value for money. We will be back as soon as we can.

Had a fabulous meal, the homemade pasta is delicious. Staff all lovely and friendly and service great. Sat outside in the sunshine, perfect.

Ate there for the first time this weekend and we weren't disappointed. Delicious food and outstanding service, the place definitely has a touch of class; we will definitely be back.

First time here, came for a meal to celebrate our son’s 18th birthday. Booked a table in advance but it was a bit chaotic (busy) when we arrived and had to wait around for longer than we would have hoped. However, the staff were very attentive and we got sat down soon enough. An inauspicious start but it was uphill from then on. Firstly, we were informed that our drinks and starters were on the house because of the wait. I didn’t think that was necessary if I’m honest but happy to accept the gesture. We’ve been to most of the other Italian restaurants in the area since we moved here last year and I must say that the quality of the food here is second to none. All of our dishes were great. They clearly use excellent quality ingredients which are cooked to perfection. The serving staff were all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the food (we had a couple of questions about ingredients that we weren’t familiar with and they answered these straight away). It was also pleasing to see quite a few dishes that you don’t usually see on other Italian menus, so nice to try something new and different. It is a busy restaurant but I’d say that the atmosphere was very lively without tipping over into being too loud. Will definitely be back.

Tuesday night and the place is rammed! Lovely service, great food and buzzing atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back to try something else. Menu had plenty to choose from. Looking forward to the doughnuts. Hope you have them next time lads 🙏👨‍🍳 Thank you for looking after me and my wife. 🙌

Lunch or dinner? I’ve been in here for both and wow wow wow, it’s got it all! Excellent food, excellent service and excellent cocktails! Superior restaurants are hard to find but this stands out from the others, mainly for the food, it’s authentic, full of flavour and great value for money, very friendly staff and owner, definitely one of the better ones around

The food is delicious, atmosphere is great with a great ambience and very good music (not too loud either). Fantastic, friendly team and service was fast. Had a great evening, and we do visit often. Thanks for another great time and we'll see you soon!

Excellent food great service apart from getting a bit ripped off with the 2 for 1 drinks offer getting 4 delivered is not what we asked for. The lighting was close to a greasy cafe style which was a shame.

An excelling experience indeed, the subtle, tranquil ambience alongside the plethora of delectable dishes combines to produce a family friendly, relaxed and most importantly, tasty dining experience. 10/10.

Incredibly good food - possibly the best amatriciana I've had. Food service was a little slow but the quality more than made up for it.

Absolutely unreal from start to finish, I’ve been to some of the top establishments of London and Manchester but the food flavours and presentation is next to none, I would come back here 100x over and will be recommending anyone else to do so!

Highly recommended. Honestly, it's been a long time since I've eaten pasta with authentic Italian flavor. The starters, main course and dessert were excellent.

Absolutely amazing place, the service was great Dan was very welcoming and friendly. The food came quick and I have to say one of the best pizzas I've had in ages. I had the volcano pizza and there is no doubt I will be going back to this place to try more of their gorgeous food. I fully recommend this place to go and have a bite to eat and a few drinks.

Had an absolute blast last night. Social Tratt hosted our group of 14 with amazing food and fantastic service. Atmosphere was perfect. Staff were brilliant. The food was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble for them despite our guest numbers changing at the last minute. Social Tratt really made our Christmas night out feel that bit more special. Simply brilliant.

Went to the Gala National Best Italian restaurant Awards in Leeds in October 2024 with Will and Dan - Won best Trattoria in the Uk in the Trattoria category !! Well done guys !! Bravo

Lovely Italian Restaurant situated in Poynton. This was our second visit. The front of house staff are very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very lively and moderately loud due to the echo in the rooms. All in all, a very satisfying and tasty experience 😋

We have visited this restaurant twice, first time, family party of 6, excellent food, atmosphere and service *5 star. Based on our first visit, we chose this restaurant to visit with friends, unfortunately second time, not as good. We had a 4pm booking and service was disappointing, despite the restaurant at the time being almost empty, felt a bit unwelcome on arrival and the lasagna contained chilli 😞, did pass on the feedback at the time.

First time trying this restaurant and we were very happy. The ambience was great for three women requiring a well needed catch up. The service was fantastic and the food & wine delicious. Had a different menu to your normal Italian restaurant. This felt rustic and homely....we all went home happy, content and full. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic Neapolitan pizza, with creative and delicious sides and small plates. The location is perfect for summer days sat outside at the front with friends. It can book up quickly so make sure to ring for a reservation otherwise you may be struggling to get in.

Great place to spend a Friday evening, only went in for a drink and ended up eating at the bar and sampling the cocktails. Really great pizza and we eat a lot of pizza!! definitely going back for more. Staff so welcoming, thank you for looking after us, had a sore head yesterday, but totally worth it;)

Had a few really good quality pasta dishes at the Social recently. The negroni’s have been perfect, fennel sausage and broccoli very nice and lovely carbonara. Always efficient and friendly service from Daniel et al. Will be back!

Beautiful fresh, exciting food. Fantastic lunch. We shared garlic bread with gorgeous toppings followed by palma ham, rocket, tomato and Parmesan salad with freshly made Italian bread. Delicious.

Fantastic pizzas , really authentic , bursting with flavour & superb dough . Staff always lovely and genuine & fantastic management . If you havent been your missing a trick ! Now I know we now have a Dominoes just opened but this place is echelons ahead in taste and authenticity and deserve our support . Dan

Pizzas were on offer tonight and mine was the best I have ever had, without a doubt. The young lady waiting on was pure class. They catered for my wife's dietary requirements admirably and sympathetically. The primitivo house wine was more than acceptable and well priced. There weren't too many in but it was early on a Tuesday evening. We'll be back!

Fantastic Italian traditional pizzas. Really amazing. Limited specific veggie options, but we added toppings to ours. 2 for 1 drinks on early Friday evening. Lovely attentive service, special mention to Lucy. Veggie starters were pretty bland, that was the only downside. We are lucky to have the Social on our doorstep will definitely go again.

Enjoyed our meal overall although the desserts are vastly overpriced for the price and I couldn’t tell any difference in the ice cream from Sicily ?? We also felt rushed to leave and the waiter hovered around with the card machine at the table while we sorted who was paying what, not what I expect at all. Not sure if we’ll be back.

Dropped in while passing and loved our visit. The staff are very friendly, the food is excellent, portion sizes very generous and the prices excellent. Cherry on top, it happened to be my Birthday and if you show them something with your date of birth on however old you are is the discount you get off your bill! Had a lovely dinner, ate off the set menu, food was excellent started with a lovely antipasta followed by a pollo cacciatorri. House wine was great. Staff were freindly, a meal with wine for under £50 including tip, excellent value.
