Lovely Turkish kebab restaurant tried for the first time. Lots of meats and soups and breads and dip ect to choose from. The lamb fell off the bone and when combined with the aubergine soup /dip and wrapped up innthe lovely rustic flat breads was fantastic will be getting that again next time . The lamb chops were meaty, soft and succulent The rice is lovely and fluffy. the bread is wow. That bread is so chewy and tasty .

As a loyal patron of the Puffin Rooms and a frequent visitor to the adjoining cigar shop, I have always appreciated the ambiance and quality these establishments offered. Unfortunately, my recent experience fell strikingly short of expectations due to significant changes in the staff. The experience began with an unexpectedly cold and unwelcoming reception from the door staff. Once inside, the service only worsened. The waitstaff exhibited a surprisingly poor attitude, marked by rudeness and a distinct lack of accountability when our drink orders were incorrect. There was a palpable sense from some staff members that they would rather be elsewhere, which was particularly evident in how one member addressed my wife. The small female staff member who served our table was unprofessional and displayed an alarming lack of respect when engaging with our party of four. It was abundantly clear that training and experience were lacking across the board, which greatly impacted our enjoyment of the evening. Having spent a considerable amount of money over the years at both the Puffin Rooms and the cigar shop, I expected a level of service that matched the reputation they had built. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to ensure that I will not return. I am deeply disappointed to see such a decline and will no longer trust this venue with my time or patronage.

We were very disappointed with the food and waitress. 1. Wanted to order a vodka martini and was told I could only order their āspecialā which was a concoction of spices. When asked if I could just have vodka with a splash, I was told ānoā. 2. The pizza oven wasnāt working which also included the garlic bread. 3. The food was served at volcanic heat. Literally bubbling, with steam rising a foot in the air. After waiting about 15 minutes to be eatable, we poured the lasagna on another plate and stirred for a few minutes. Unbelievably, the waitress told us it was correctly served. Way too many restaurants in Keswick to eat here.

We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The food was delicious, and the dining environment was very pleasant. However, there was a misunderstanding when we settled the bill. As customers from China, we donāt have a habit of paying tips separately (the service charge is usually included in the food prices). Therefore, when we saw a default 10% service charge on the bill, we thought it to be an unreasonable extra charge, so we requested to have this charge removed. However, we did some research and realized that this is often seen as a complaint about poor service. We understand that our actions yesterday may have hurt the server. In fact, the gentleman who served us was very professional and patient, and he kindly took back a dish we accidentally ordered due to misspeaking. I want to apologize to the staff: you provided perfect service, and this was a misunderstanding due to cultural differences. I hope it didnāt cause you any distress.ā¤ļø

Very nice little tapas bar/restaurant in the heart of Workington. The food is lovely, we particularly liked the sticky rice with coconut. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. There were not many food establishments open on a Thursday but these guys were, and reasonably busy too. My husband particularly liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. Will be back.

Went at opening time on a Saturday in January, so it was quiet but still a few tables booked.. so the atmosphere was down but meant our food came fast and fresh to order.. Canāt really fault the food at all, was all fresh and you could see the effort that had gone into the preparation.. I had the sharing platter which was only Ā£17.50PP; 3 big ribs, 2 big wings, a large portion of pulled pork & pulled brisket, homemade smoked sausage, fries, ranch beans, coleslaw & a handful of pickles.. If I had one gripe it would be the brisket not being sliced and kept whole but it was still very nice and tender when pulled. You get 3 homemade sauces at the table, Tennessee BBQ, Honey Sriracha & Carolina Mustardā¦ all 3 are superb. The host/owner is very nice welcoming lady with plenty gusto and a great sense of honour.. Will definitely return!

We were here on Saturday evening for a fun-filled few hours! We played a round of the most techy mini golf. We hadnt booked online but thankfully able to fit us in. The guy taking our booking and the girl telling us how it worked both were extremely friendly and helpful. We then had a few drinks (brambles for me, beer for himself) and the service at the bar was exceptional - especially from Ethan! And the drinks delicious š Music and vibe is very very good! Will definitely come back here when back in Manchester to play the Cube as it looked really fun!

One of the nicest dining experiences weāve had in a while , we spend a lot of time eating out across Manchester and the surrounding area , Iād previously visited the Church inn and recently found out about the Roebuck , the service was great really friendly , laidback and attentive, the atmosphere even on a quiet Monday evening was really nice , beautiful decor and cosy country pub vibes, with the star of the show being the food everything we ordered was exceptional and we will be returning with friends and family, my new favourite place to dine and relax.
