The best restaurants in North West

Didn’t have the food here but it’s great here! Staff are friendly and they’ve got a great selection on draught + bonus points for a big beer garden that’s often in the sun!

Had afternoon tea yesterday which was very enjoyable. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by staff and shown straight to our table even though we were early. As for the afternoon tea itself it's the best we've had for a long time with a good mix of sweet and savoury and plenty of it. The staff were very friendly and attentive frequently asking if we needed more tea. Would certainly go back.

Was my first time here and will certainly be back. Service and food was excellent. Beautiful country pub in a lovely location offering total value for money.

Alex is such a cheerful and charming man. His service reflects the food that is served. You will find it hard to find better food in Carlisle.

Attended Amatos last night before a gig at The Old Fire Station. Meal was superb. Everything was brilliant. Lovely atmosphere and waiting staff nothing was an issue for them. Keep up the great work.

Great drinks, lovely atmosphere. Can be hard to find if you don't know where to look. Would recommend going here if you're in Chester. Recommend getting the smith and western cocktail.

Amazing food, first time ordering, will be back again defo! Chicken full of flavour, rice was perfect, Greek salad was gorgeous. Got 2 free drinks and 2 free dips too, thankyou so much we’ve been looking for a grilled chicken place local to us for a while. 5 star service guys!!!

Just happened to stop here on our way home as the M6 was shut due to a bad accident. We got lucky. Staff are really friendly, the place was busy for lunchtime, a popular place for locals and food was piping hot. We both had the Braising Steak & Guinness pie, it was not just very filling but very tasty with rich yummy gravy. Totally full afterwards. We would make a detour to visit this pub next time we travel the M6. Excellent, thank you.

Ate food in here half way through our journey, and definitely didn't disappoint! Prawns and chicken were really succulent. Was served by Mustafa who was very informative and helpful- a credit to your company! Thank you for the tasty food
