Up,out and about on a dull and rainy July morning, our summers are magnificent aren't they, my twin brother and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre and visit some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for, one of the first we visited was The White Star Pub. A great looking pub, interior is superb, two roomed, main room dominated by an eye catching serving bar, lovely eclectic decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a really good pub to unwind in. We were here on a Tuesday, we arrived during happy hour, we ordered a guinness each, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle,at £3 a pint amazing value for money in a Liverpool City Centre pub,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our guinness. My guinness was absolutely superb, thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold,it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The White Star Pub is easy to locate along Rainford Gardens. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 11.30am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The White Star is a fantastic Victorian pub in the Cavern Quarter that offers a superb range of well priced drinks and is without a doubt one of the best pubs in this fantastic area of the city centre. Located in Rainford Gardens'this fantastic pub is housed in an excellent building and was established in the 1880's.This fantastic pub has a two-roomed interior with superb decor and furnishing's and superb seating options throughout the whole pub. There's lot's of interesting feature's relating to the Beatles in this excellent pub and lots of interesting fixtures and features relating to Liverpools maritime history. There's many items relating to boxing from a bygone era and the staff are superb in here. We visited here in the afternoon and it was very busy when we visited here.On our trip to here we had a few pints of Guinness that were perfectly served and were well priced as we where here on there happy hour and the Guinness was only £3.00 a pint. A fantastic pub in a superb area that's well worth a visit. (This is my third review of the White Star). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-11.30-22.30. Friday-Saturday-11.30-23.00. Sunday-11.30-22.30.

Accessibility review from the perspective of an ambulatory manual wheelchair user. Entrance: there is a small step to get in, if you can bunny hop in your wheelchair you'll be fine. This would be fixed with a small threshold ramp if the venue wanted to, but they have refused. The entrance is a little narrow, but my chair fit fine. Wider chairs may struggle. Counter: there is no accessible height counter. Toilet: there is no accessible toilet. The mens toilets are downstairs but would be too small for a wheelchair. The women's toilets are up one flight of stairs. There is no gender neutral bathroom. Seating: inside and outside there are low tables that can be used by wheelchair users.

Faaaaar too many to take pics of, so feel free to look around as I did. Titanic is in here but it's really not a huge focus tbh! Lots of boxing pics, other huge boats, famous people. Toilets for the ladies are up two flights of stairs (naturally lol) perfectly fine. Bar selection is ok but as it's working in a tiny area, for what they've got it's fine.

On a cold and crisp mid November afternoon my twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this area of the city when we decided to drop into The White Star Pub and what a great time we had. A great looking pub ,interior is superb, lots of posters adorning the walls pertaining to The Beatles and also liner travel plus boxing memorabilia, an eye catching serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Cavern Quarter. We had a study of the beer selection and in the end we both opted for beers from Cruzcampo Brewery, served freezing cold, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. A big fan of this famous Spanish beer, its a light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served iced cold as in this pub, no wonder this pub is so popular with beers served in this good a condition. Titanic Liverpool White Star Line. The Titanic was owned by the Liverpool White Star Line Shipping Company. This building is the former head office of the White Star Line. Prior to it's maiden voyage it was tradition that a new ship would sail into its home port of Liverpool however due to delays with the build and sea trials it didn't happen. This was thought to be a bad omen. It was on the balcony of this building that the company addressed thousands of people in the streets below waiting for answers.

This is a favourite pub of mine, its such an historic pub dating from 1880 and named after the famous White Star Shipping Line ,in all the years I've been drinking here its hardly ever changed and that's fine by me ,great staff, great beers and a fair price for a pint and long may it continue to be like that. My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale, hints of toffee and a big hit of hops, very easy to drink and a real ale style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another pale ale each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The White Star Pub is easy to locate along Rainford Gardens on a street and in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 11.30am till 11pm. A great pub ,well worth a visit if you're in the area. Until the 2nd of December all pubs, bars and restaurants in England are closed due to the 2nd lockdown.

Mussels starter is a must try—amazing!!!!! Creamy sauces are well done. Tomato based sauce pasta was disappointing, mediocre at best. Service is ok.

Had breakfast here, and I decided to treat myself. Pancakes with bacon. Ordered black coffee & my b'fast. Pancakes cooked to order & very fluffy... On paying, I asked if the pancakes were made to order, which the response was yes. Was told they were vegan, which blew my mind as I suffer from IBS & egg whites are a trigger for me. (You are probably wondering why you would have pancakes if egg whites are a trigger. Sometimes, you just want a little guilty pleasure) On hearing they were vegan made made my morning, so no IBS for me... Coffee & breakfast £13.50, definitely will be back. Fantastic value for money. Thank you .

Liverpool's craft beer hotspot - great range on twenty taps and over a hundred in the fridge! Knowledgeable staff and prompt table service. A must-visit for beer fans in the area!
