Rudy's Pizza Napoletana - Albert Dock in Liverpool

Ok. In short, this is the number 1 pizza place in Liverpool. Specifically this Albert Dock restaurant. I have ate here many times. It offers the most authentic Italian pizza in Liverpool, the dough is almost identical to pizzas I’ve had in Naples. Their regular pizzas are always great and the specials are sometimes amazing. The staff are always fantastic, super friendly, and support the Italian atmosphere. They were lovely to allow us to bring our own tiramisu and we shared it with them. The drinks and dessert options are great. Aqua Panna is the best water in the world by the way. The tiramisu is very good too. This Albert Dock restaurant is the most conversation friendly as unlike the other two disco restaurants, this has the music playing on a lower volume. Overall 10/10

I'm in love with this restaurant. Since discovering this place, I've been dining here at least once a week. The food is delicious, and the service is incredibly friendly and attentive to even the tiniest details, especially waiter Nata. Another bonus is that their food is so good it can truly compete with authentic Italian cuisine. It's amazing to enjoy Italian pizza right in the heart of Liverpool. I feel like a 5-star rating isn't enough—I would give it 10 if I could!

The best pizza I have eaten in a long time. The only drawback, but it is not the establishment's fault, is that there was no place inside and we had to eat outside and it was quite cold. My recommendation is to book to eat inside. Without a doubt we will return quality price without sense highly recommended the one with pepperoni and honey

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rudy's Pizza Napoletana in Liverpool, and I can say that it was the best dining experience I had in the city. Got to be one of the best pizzas I've ever had and for the price we paid we was surprised at just how nice they are. Fair priced, fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection would definitely go again. We arrived around 8pm on a Sunday and they did say without reservation it was an hour wait but they managed to squeeze us onto a table so I would definitely book a table in advance to save disappointment

The pizza crust is delicious, but too much of all the pizzas had tomato puree. The staff has room to stretch, the service was not the most pleasant. It feels a little chaotic.

A divine act of pizza making is occurring here

Arrived at a busy time on a Wednesday evening, the service was excellent, the (manager?) was very accommodating to find me a table as soon as possible so I could enjoy a meal for one. Pizza was amazing and not badly priced at all, plus considering how busy it was the food came out fast! Vicente was the waiter for my table who was so friendly and made sure I had everything I wanted. Will be sure to come back next time I’m in Liverpool.

Superb Pizza, at very reasonable prices. Better than Gordon Ramey’s Pizza street. We ordered the Pepperoni and the Cinghiale. The side salads are also great value.

Busy Saturday evening, a lot of people inside and despite that they manage to prepare 4 pizzas for takeaway in just 15 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised when really kind member of stuff told as that our pizzas will be ready in 15 minutes. We came back in 14 minutes to collect them and they were just on the way from kitchen to us. And most important pizzas were really tasty. Really good Napoletana style pizzas

Poor attitude/ behaviour from unkind server SHARON 24/8/24 @17:37. Ticket no: 9002 Was Disinterested and unhelpful/Instructed us to a dark space to order food, out of sight of others. No seat offered . SHARON was Unhelpful with pointing out pork, said Fennel sausage was chicken! SHARON Told us, my disabled child and I to wait outside for order, despite a number of empty tables. SHARON, told us to move from an alleged reserve seat ( no reservation sign). SHARON to avoid confusion with others was 5ft 3”, blonde bob, pale complexion, & were a grey cardigan, was very unfriendly & unkind.

Staff are nice and food great, I just wish there was a gluten free option.

Best pizza we have ever had! So happy they have made the triple pepperoni special a permanent menu item. We have tried a few of the pizzas and they have all been incredible! Great food great drinks great service! Can really recommend

Today we had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant and in general I could say that the price-quality ratio is quite good. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but it was good. They have waiters who speak Spanish which is appreciated.

We were on holiday in liverpool and came across rudys and decided to give it a go and we were so glad we did , we had a garlic bread to share to start with and it was amazing and the pizzas were just wow. Honestly the whole experience from start to finish was amazing. Would highly recommend.

After a week of fish and chips and steak pies, for the last evening before leaving we risk a Neapolitan pizza. What can I say, never was a gamble better played! Real Neapolitan pizza, with a crust, ingredients, cooking and dimensions worthy of Naples. Tiramisu as if my wife had made it and expressed that it can finally be defined as such after a week of slop. The guys who work there are helpful and kind, the location is truly beautiful. Congratulations guys!

I feel sorry for people who have never been here. Easily the best meal of my life! Staying over for the weekend in Liverpool, and my husband and I ate here last night and we are booked in again tonight because it was so good! The dough, delicious. The sauce, scrumptious. The toppings, to die for. The dipping sauces? Well, they will take you to the moon and back. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and very attentive. Overall, if you don’t come here at least once in your life for the best pizza you’ve ever eaten, you’re missing out!

Perfect pizza, great location and friendly atmosphere

Wow! Went for lunch, and we were one of the first to go in when it opened at midday. Within half an hour, the place was nearly full - always a good sign, in my opinion! The food was served quickly and it was delicious! The pizzas are big, and we probably could have shared one between the 2 of us - we know for next time. Luckily, the staff were more than happy to give us a takeaway box. The staff were kind and attentive too! Absolutely cannot wait to go back so I can try the tiramisu!

Came to Rudy’s today to try the Tonno (Tuna Pizza). It was beautiful 🫶🏻. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Food also came really quick! Also reasonably priced place to eat pizza on the docks ❤️

I will start this review with the positives. Some of the staff are lovely and will try and make your experience as you hoped. Unfortunately this is all I can say positive. We booked a table for our anniversary and were drawn in by the promise of pizza and a view of the docks. I should have known better, when I booked the staff member I spoke with was curt and didn't even let me finish my sentence afterward before hanging up, giving them the benefit of the doubt be it busy or what not we headed in hoping for a lovely treat. After experiencing the staff member again at the door rudely addressing us, we were shown to our table by our server, the highlight of the experience. The table was cramped, the volume of the music rivalled that of the bars present along the docks, to the point me and my partner were having to nearly shout to speak across the very tiny table. The food. Burnt, odd tasting and we eat a slither before regretting picking the place. The garlic bread we had prior to our main was discussed by us and the table across and compared by us both akin to a slightly warm and soggy cheese sandwich, my partner adds, where was the garlic. We were offered deserts to try and redeem the experience but we declined as we had, had enough at this point. Avoid at all costs!

Great food and a great chain I find the food is brilliant at every Rudy's pizza you go. Right on the canal/docks so beautiful setting. Was busy but still got served well and quickly enough. A friendly waitress served us and wasn't pushy with us either to order more or something expensive. Great quality pizza at a decent price. Recommend

First time at Rudy's. Joe was really nice and friendly. Pizzas were lovely, we will definitely be returning! Feedback for management - at peak time (5.30pm on a Saturday) don't take your whole waiting staff for a meeting and leave customers waiting to give their orders. One table left as it took too long. I would recommend either having a meeting at a less busy time or alternatively taking a few waiting staff off the floor at a time if it's essential.

As per usual, everything was lovely at Rudy’s. Joe was very attentive and friendly - brilliant service! And the food was delicious. Rudy’s has the best pizza outside of Italy!

Rudy's Italian restaurant at the Royal Albert Dock. Italian food without many pretensions, it just delivers. The best thing is that it doesn't close at noon, and in our case, we ate at almost 5 in the afternoon. If you are visiting the Royal Albert Dock, it is a good place to satisfy your hunger.

We have dined a few times at Rudys. Great food, great value and great service. We’d Highly recommend. It was a special occasion for our daughter. Thanks all it was great

We where in Liverpool for a concert and called in for food I can honestly say best food, service, drinks and dessert I’ve had in a long time, are server ( forgot his name sorry ) he was brilliant friendly and made us feel really welcome and on the + side when we where paying are bill we discovered are dessert was complimentary! They certainly know how to look after their customers.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat. We had lunch the one day and went back again the next. Beautiful atmosphere and brilliant staff. Big portion for an amazing price and incredibly tasty, definitely the best pizzas my partner and I have had in England or Scotland. Will 1000% recommend this place to anyone who loves traditional pizza and atmosphere. watching your pizza cook as you have a glass of ice-cold wine is a brilliant experience.

Great place to grab a great quality bite!

I ordered mozzarella pizza and Poretti draft beer and it was delicious. The pizza was slightly burnt, but it had a good texture as it was baked in a good oven. Of course, draft beer goes with pizza. The slightly bitter taste stimulates the appetite. The price is reasonable too.

Excellent pizza, flexible on the options

Oh so good! Gas oven pizza made on the spot! Napoli style. Right on Royal Albert dock with a great view and a second floor for that extra capacity. The pizzas are great, crispy, flavorful and with great choices of toppings if you want to add extra. Our server was phenomenal - knowledgeable and friendly. Actually everyone we interacted with here was super nice! Highly recommend it!

Not gonna lie. At this place, I had one of the best pizzas ever, and I had many pizzas in my life so far. It was absolutely delicious. From dough to toppings to size, it was absolute perfection. I would fly to Liverpool again for one day only to eat at this place. All I can say is thank you for this culinary experience.

I find myself here a tad too often. It's become a sort of irresistible temptation; every time I stroll by, I inevitably find myself drawn in. As much as I love it, I know I need to exercise some self-control and cut back on my visits.

Excellent pizzas and ideal location for lunch when visiting the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool. We ordered some Mediterranean olives, a Margherita pizza and a Portobello pizza. We enjoyed the pizza, the friendliness of the staff as well as the view. The service was very quick.

Great staff, we're told the table was available for an hiyr which was fine. Had sicilian olives, salame pizza, tomato garlic bread and capriocciosa minus proscuitto pizza. Had the Italian beer, cider (forgot yhe name) and a soda water, all nice and chilled, very refreshing. Everything was delicious. Quick service, nice chilled atmosphere.

Perfect little pizzeria and reasonably priced. Wine is good quality. Just note - the kitchen closes an hour before closing time! This isn't made clear on the website.

Disgusted at the mix messages received when doing a walk in. Please don’t listen to the website that states they can accommodate you for walk ins if you don’t have a booking. Went at 5pm and was clearly told to return at 6.30pm to get a table on a first come first served basis. Asked if we could book and categorically told by the lady it wasn’t an option. Returned at 6.20pm to be told that the it’s not the case as she should have booked us a table. The lady came over and lied about what was said even though she said it to 4 groups in front of me. 1.20hrs lost, birthday ruined and lied too. Will never ever try this venue again and won’t recommend it. The other Rudy’s are a lot better organised.

Went for lunch before going to Cirque du Soleil. Really nice food fast service and very helpful staff. Nice view of the docks.

The flavors of the pizza were enjoyable, but the dough was excessively chewy (some chewiness is expected, but not to this extent) and lacked the desired crispiness. The rubbery cheese might be the culprit. Furthermore, the overall temperature of the pizza was lukewarm upon serving, which seemed odd, as I expected this type of pizza to come straight out of a piping hot wood oven and be served immediately. While the service was generally pleasant, there were some hiccups. We were initially brought the wrong pizza, and it was taken away randomly. Additionally, one out of the four pizzas arrived much sooner than the rest, leading to a 10-minute wait for the rest of the food. Setting aside these issues, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the location boasted a lovely view of the docks. However, if you're seeking authentic Neapolitan pizza, I would recommend visiting Neapolitan Pizza on Lime Street, as they are the only AVPN certified pizzeria in the city.

Stunning pizza, base so amazing I could eat it on its own. Freshness and quality of ingredients amazing. My son wanted to move to Liverpool to be able to eat it everyday.

Have to say one of if not the worst Pizzas we have ever had tasteless and wet To add insult to injury table next to us thought it was a playground for their kids …. Why do they let it happen ? After we sat down, we were informed that they had no mozzarella. I'd have left then but kids were ravenous. I asked if the dishes containing mozzarella had been adapted and they had but with a £3 increase in price. Supply failure passed straight onto the customer. Won't be back.

The service none existent waited over half an hour, no waiter, seemed more like self-service. Normally pretty good, however, I was ignored by several members of staff. Eventually left and had fish and chips.
