Had a fabulous time last night at Othellos celebrating my brother's 70th birthday with family. Amazing food and very generous portions were served to us efficiently and courteously to our large party. Maria and her team really did us proud. Thank you.

Smell of the carpet was terrible, order glass of wine and it was water with ice . Food was not bad but nothing special.

We visited here for a family members big birthday. The food was nice although a few of our party had a dodgy stomach the next day. Considering there was only a few tables in the restaurant at the time the staff were not very attentive and we had to wait about 15 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink, this was after several attempts to grab either waiters attention and getting ignored. We also expected a bit more of a fuss over the big birthday we were celebrating especially as there was 14 of us and we were spending about £500 at the restaurant. Also we were told we couldn’t eat off of the two courses menu despite the fact it wasn’t a bank holiday which was a little off, it felt like because we were a big party they wanted us all to get mains and starters to spend more. Considering I’ve heard so many great things about here it was a bit of a disappointment, the restaurant interior could probably do with a bit of an upgrade.

Greek restaurant, exceptional quality of food, 5 stars not enough

I cannot fault the delicious food and service. But I'm afraid the bone-cold dining room is going to be our abiding memory.

Lovely food. Really good different dishes to select from. Caters for all tastes. Well cooked and very tasty. Service quick and friendly. Atmosphere great. And brilliant value for money

First time visiting this restaurant and wasn't disappointed. The food was tremendous, piping hot and very tasty. Would recommend visiting there ,and we will be returning soon.

I have been numerous times. Lots of tasty food on the table. You need to be really hungry to go. Last visit I had moussaka but other times chicken kebab. Very friendly staff. Nothing to much trouble. Cash only.

We drive past this place and have said for months about going and after reading some reviews we decided to give it a try at the weekend. Its really dark inside with very little Greek authenticity. No offer of traditional breads or dips unless ordered for a cost and all separate. We had starters and main course. Calamari which didn't seem fresh and very chewy. Main of swordfish kebab and this was also not fresh and very little of it, really fishy taste. Had multiple times and never tasted it like that. Lamb main was really rich in flavor but was cooked nicely. The chips and rice all came separately but I would say was the nicest part of the meal. For the price wasn't really impresses with anything overall.

We had a takeaway. Preparation of the food was quick and the food delicious.

This is a hidden gem in Childwall. I have given them 4 stars just because they take cash only, which is not expected in this day and age where even tiny kiosks take contactless payments. And please note there's no cash machine nearby. The nearest one is next to the Abbey Friar on Childwall Abbey Road. The food is amazing. Service is excellent. Staff is courteous and efficient. Atmosphere is a family one. Every time I have been there I've mainly seen families, and couples on some tables.

Food, service and atmosphere is great. Given it’s location it’s perfectly for avoiding the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Venue been around for a long time and remains popular in the neighbourhood. Looking forward to going back soon.

Superb food, lots of choice and freshly cooked to order. The portions were immense and the service was without fault. Only issue would be the food on the carpets under our table before we'd sat down, otherwise it would have been 5 stars! I'll definitely be going back though.

Out standing you won't have better

Fabulous authentic Greek food, plentiful portions and lots of choice. Food was all piping hot and fresh, can't wait for our next visit. We had greek breads, tzatziki and Houmous and a mix of spanokopita, keftedes, soup and cheesy bread for starters. Most of us opted for kleftiko for mains and they were all amazing, the sides of scalloped potatoes, rice and mixed salad were all lovely too. We were a group of 12 and had lots of requests through the meal, but staff handled our party brilliantly and we were well looked after.

Amazing as usual the food 5 star❤and the staff. The owner always pleased to see you. My daughters boyfriend came who has never had Greek and he loved it and wants to come back❤always plenty of food children friendly. I would highly recommend it🤩

Delicious food and superb service. We visited with a large group for an 80th birthday. From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful and welcoming. This restaurant has a great atmosphere (and it was only Sunday afternoon!) and the birthday music was a superb addition to a fantastic afternoon. Thanks

Saturday night at Othellos. Went with friends. Absolutely loverly starters of mixed dips, garlic bread and humous. Mains were exceptional Stifardo, Lamb cutlets, spicey meat balls and Klefticon. Really great tastey food with ample portions. The best Greek restaurant by far. Love the family run atmosphere. Will be goining back soon.

Excellent food and reasonably priced

Visited mid afternoon for a special Birthday celebration. Lovely atmosphere, staff were exceptionally accommodating. We were able to store the cake out of sight, decorate the tables (not confetti), set up multiple bills. There was no delay in food for our large party, everyone was eating within a few minutes. Doggy bags were offered for surplus. Fabulous atmosphere for the Greek Happy Birthday song, the staff then cut our cake and gave us packaging to get the rest home. Planning my next visit!!!

Food and service all good. Only take cash or cheque (who uses a cheque book now?) plus the wine was brought to the table in a pre-opened bottle giving doubt as to what it actually was. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Had a fantastic meal here last night. In fact, every time we’ve visited here, the food has been second to none. The portions are large and the meal is served with rice, salad and sauté potatoes. Very friendly staff. Best restaurant around.

Had a banquet with the family. Absolutely delicious from start to finish! Every course was great, staff were friendly and a really nice atmosphere. Been several times before, but this was the first meze we'd had and will definitely order again. Tip - don't eat all the bread with the 1st course or you'll struggle to finish!!

Excellent Greek food. Huge portions. Great service. Doesn't take cards so bring cash. Service with a smile all the time, incredibly accommodating of special occasions or just a meal out. Always hard to know what to order because there's lots of choice. Early bird special (before 630) is a bit cheaper and limits choice - still plenty to choose from though. Also does a takeaway service: the same amazing food travels really well.

It's not the first time I have been to this restaurant. My favourite place by far. 8 of us went for Christmas Dinner. Absolutely fantastic. The place was really busy,as soon as we walked in Maria welcomed us with open arms. My dad who's in his 80s was initially skeptical about coming here for a Christmas dinner. Not to worry, he is converted and is now quizzing me on what exactly is in Greek food because he wants to come again and try. Thanks Maria 😊

The place is lovely so as the staff.Maybe we just got the wrong choice for the mains but it was a chef specialty dish...I don't mind going back and try another dish next time.

Amazing food, Really Friendly staff, feels like an Authentic Greek Taverna. Started with the Meze - Portion size was awesome, but so nice you cant help but keep dipping in. Main course - Wow, the meats are cooked to perfection, its clear the chef has been doing this a while, every bite just melts in your mouth, gutted I filled up on the starters now. try the sauted potatoes too they'll knock your socks off We'll definitely be back for more... 5 stars all the way....
