Akasya in Liverpool

This was only our second visit and it certainly won’t be our last. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were lucky to get a window table, perfect to watch the world go by on a very busy Easter Saturday. We remembered from our previous visit how generous the portions were so opted to go straight for a main course…..a good move! We enjoyed generous chicken skewers, loads of fresh salad and tasty dips. The service, food, ambiance and bill were all outstanding. Highly recommended.

Delicious food - we got all the platter. Also have great staff, quick service! Not from Liverpool myself but will return just to come here!

The food was absolutely delicious, i loved it. I got the beyti which one of the waiters recommended and it was a very good choice, would 100% come back here if i’m ever back in liverpool. the service was also very friendly and quick.

Although they had no record of our booking, they showed us to the bar whilst they prepared a table for us. The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was great.

We really enjoyed the food, the meat was very tender, lovely flavours… we got a karisik (for 2 people sharing platter) - the perfect way to try a bit of everything if you can’t decide what to get. Complimentary Turkish bread, sauces (the white sauce was so delicious! Would have bought a bottle of that to take home if it were an option!) Definitely will be revisiting when we’re in Liverpool. Very friendly staff, quick service. Lovely atmosphere inside.

On more than one occasion, we were asked to leave the restaurant without any valid reason — simply because we are Arabs. It’s clear that if they see you’re Arab, they treat you differently and make you feel unwelcome. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. On top of that, the food is overpriced and not worth the money. I would never recommend this place.

I had a very upsetting experience at Akasya. I had already heard from friends that they were treated badly and even asked to leave the restaurant, with staff being unfriendly and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to me and my father. Despite speaking politely and showing respect, we were told to leave without any explanation. I ate in at the Akasya, I order the lamb and chicken main which comes served with rice and salad, the service was attentive and my food arrived fairly promptly. The chicken skewers were nice and tasty however the lamb was not as succulent as I like it. I was also disappointed by the portion size there were only four pieces of meat for each skewer and the rice was only about 100 grams worth.

Great food and equally great service! I was server by Deniz and he made my experience lovely. I have nothing bad to say. Taste is great, portion sizes are great and the price is good too. Recommend strongly!

When we visit Liverpool, we always enjoy lunch here. It is a friendly, welcoming place. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is excellent, I am a vegetarian and always find the 2 course lunch has a good selection. It is very reasonable priced, there is plenty of food and it is of good quality.

Had a fantastic Birthday meal here, just came across it whilst visiting Liverpool and although we hadn't booked they were very accomodating and we got a table within 10 minutes. The food was plentiful and delicious. We will be returning. Thank you Akasya

We visit this place everytime we're in city centre the food is amazing the portion sizes are large the starters and main meals are all amazing the staff are lovely very attentive and it's not pricey overall my experience at akasya is great I would recommend anyone who hasn't been to visit

Out with a friend for drinks and decided to pop in for food last minute, we were seated promptly and our waitress Reem was very warm, friendly and efficient, the food was delicious, as good as any Turkish I've had previously! I highly recommend Akasya and will definitely return.

Simple Turkish food with great service. 3 of us has lunch menu deal which is good value for money £14.99 two course meal. Portion size very good and.lots of dishes to choose from lunch menu deal. My only recommendation is if possible add some Turkish drinks on the menu. I will be back soon.

Tired of waiting to be seated at Elif we decided to walk further down Bold st . We stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant with welcoming staff and wonderful food. Will definitely go there again.

Really good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food is large portions and prices very acceptable. Would be great if there was an option to order some bread alone or extra with the sauces but other than that would definitely recommend going if in Liverpool.

First visit but won’t be our last. I’m coeliac and spotted the 100% gf symbol on the door. Asked about the gluten free when were greeted and was told pretty much everything is gf. Which isn’t quite what the symbol indicates. But we decided to chance it. The young lady who came to take our order was very quick to tell me which items on the lunch meal deal (2 courses for £14:95 Sunday to Friday ) weren’t gluten free which seemed to be anything fried which shows good understanding of cross contamination. I had garlic mushrooms, my hubby had lambs liver and he said that it was the best he’d had. And he does like choosing liver when in Turkey. For mains I had chicken shish, so much chicken. And he had meatballs. Both served with rice and salad. The atmosphere and the food made for a wonderful afternoon. We will be back.

Honestly, I think the first time I came here it changed my view on food. I was visiting on a work lunch and having never tried Turkish food I was relatively nervous but I decided to try Beyti. It's now by far my favourite meal and I recommend Akasya for anyone looking for a good meal in town.

Turkish restaurant located on busy Bold Street, a street where many of the city's restaurants are concentrated. It has an extensive menu, specializing in charcoal grilled meats. They offer a daily menu, from 12pm to 5pm (not available on Saturdays), which includes a starter and main course, for £14.95. I chose this option, opting for a salad and lamb shish (lamb skewer). With a pint of Efes Turkish beer and a Turkish coffee, the bill came to £23.25 (about €28). Everything was very good, nice place, great service and exquisite and abundant food.

Cracking meal and service as fab really enjoyed

One of the finest Turkish restaurants in the most popular street of the city for food lovers. Friendly staff who can excel even in the crowded environment. Generous portions and their meat are halal and cooked to perfection. Their two course lunch deal served between 12pm to 5pm on weekdays is worth every penny. Suggest to reserve a table as you expect it to be crowded all the time.

Embarrassed and extremely disappointed. Dont take your guests there ever. I took my family came from overseas to this place and the managing guy there told us to wait for 15 mins and disappeared hanging us there for 50 mins. We left and he didnt even apologise. We ended up going to Elif, atleast they were honest with the waiting time. We waited anyway for 50 mins at Akasya, but you guys could be atleast honest. It was a lesson anyway to not go there again specially when you have guests.

Food is amazing as any other Turkish meals. I'm quite happy about how service staff were helpful and friendly. Saturdays are quite crowded. But it's same as every restaurant which cooks exquisite food.

Amazing service, delicious food, the staff was absolutely brilliant and extremely friendly. We ordered a special for two people and were overwhelmed by its size, we will probably have it for another lunch and dinner. We will surely be coming back.

Overall a positive experience. Food (4/5) - decent, clean and tasty food for what you pay for. Nothing about it was mindblowing for me to give it a perfect 5, but it was still of a very high, satisfactory standard. Can't think of any faults, other than maybe one tiny one of there being no seasoning/dressing on the salad that most good Turkish restaurants provide. Oh, but the complimentary bread was amazing. Top marks for that! As well as the sauces provided. Service (5/5) - the staff were great. Very polite. Weren't intrusive. Seemed to have a good habit of reading the room and providing you assistance just when you needed it Atmosphere (5/5) - clean, nice decor. Good vibes. For me, allowed me to wind down and enjoy a nice meal after a long day's work. So yeah, overall spot on. Next time I'm in the area I'm tempted to go back, but I also want to try out other restaurants in the area to test them out.

Safe to say the best meal I have ever had! we had the meal for 2 and everything was stunning. The bread was the nicest I've ever had and all the meats were perfection. My mom's a coeliac and we had no problem with ordering. She even got her own gluten free bread. Staff were lovely and extremely accommodating. Would 100% recommend.

Popped in here for a light bite. Opted for the cold mezze platter to share between 3 of us. It was large and very filling. The staff were welcoming.

Came here for a meal with my Wife while on a visit from Birmingham. The welcome was great! Service overall was very good. Food was delicious, arrived so quick, really fresh and hot. Would definitely come back here when we visit Liverpool again.

The staff were very friendly with passion to help. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing, the restaurant was hygiene and clean. We ordered Adana Kebab and Beyti, it was delicious and it worth money. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place was a second option as the original place we was meant to go was too busy there were 2 staff serving us in this place one who was lovely and helpful as the other one was very rude and judge-mental the food was okay abit bland no flavour but I would say the bread they give is fresh and they have a lovely chilli sauce to go with it halloumi and sweet patatoe fries were also nice

Friendly staff nice atmosphere and very tasty food

Only out for one night and spoilt for choice on Bold Street. Chose here as the smell of bbq cooking drew us in. Glad we did and had an excellent first time Turkish meal. What made it nice though was our waitress who was very friendly and helpful. It does make a difference between a normal dining experience and a really enjoyable one. Good member of staff like this invaluable. For management we didn't get her name but your young female Egyptian staff member.
