Best pizza in the area! Lovely welcoming staff, the place its self is very basic and boring but good people and great pizza make it work! If u love pizza u will love this place

Hadn't even realised Tusk was here - it 'appears' in the bistro on Friday and Saturday evenings. Ordered a takeaway for collection, and it was superb. It was ready in 15 mins, and was absolutely delicious! We shared a Bento Box, and everything in it was top notch. I'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

Saw this cafe on trip advisor. Great reviews so thought we would give it a try. Had 2 pensioner specials. Fish chips and peas for hubby and liver and onions for myself. OMG I was in vegetable heaven. Liver cooked to perfection and good selection of vegetables. Hubby enjoyed his fish and chips. Service excellent. Definitely return.

Very welcoming place staff all Polite and friendly . Great coffee also dog friendly which is a bonus . Highly recommend..

The tea room was shut last time we were in Allonby so we were pleased to see it was open. We were stopped from entering at the door in a slightly uncomfortable manner. We asked if there was a table for 2 which there wasn’t. We asked if there might be one later and were able to put our name down and to come back in half an hour. Our waiter was really polite and friendly but in general, the service wasn’t great and we had to ask for our drinks when we saw 2 tables who arrived and ordered after us and was clear ours had been forgotten about. Our table didn’t get cleared for a while despite several staff walking past and it was only when we grabbed the attention of someone and said we’d like to order cakes that it was finally cleared. The whole atmosphere wasn’t particularly friendly or nice. Unfortunately a disappointing experience and we wouldn’t go back in a hurry.

Time and time again the quality here is amazing and so too is the very friendly service. You have to order the mo mo platter for as an appetiser to share, which are simply outstanding - have not tasted any better and have travelled extensively. The staff are so lovely that they will alter the spiciness of your curries - I had ‘hot hot’ and it was spot on! Try the pickled radishes, mula ko aachar, which give a fantastic contrast to the curry. Just love this place

Nice little cafe at the end of the Tolkien trail. We popped in for an early lunch. Speedy service. Good toastie and egg mayo cob. Generous mug of coffee.

No wonder why this is the best rated burger place in the whole of Manchester, best burger I’ve ever had, hands down. Get down here!!

It isn’t every day you get to eat delicious food with a view like this!! Waterfalls. Lakes. Mountains and lots of local ales to sample. So friendly!! So delicious!! So stunning!!

Delicious food. 2 courses for £12 on a Tuesday! I had bruschetta and hot and spicy pizza. Just fabulous! Can’t wait to go again now. Bottomless brunch sounds fab.

I go there whenever I can. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 40 years and I think it's the best coffee around. Cakes are spot on too and the staff are brilliant. Martin

Excellent coffee and yummy scone. Beautiful cafe. Stylish cafe and friendly owner. The cafe is definitely OPEN. CYCLISTS welcome. Everyone is welcome. Please note that there are internal stairs up to the cafe. Will be back!
