Excellent food in a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly, pleasant staff. Will certainly be going again.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. lovely service all of the food was fantastic . Especially the veal I had. And the house red was top-notch as well.

We had my grandson with us and he thoroughly enjoyed his pizza. We adults all enjoyed our meals too which were all different and tasty.

Thank you to all the staff especially Nancy and Raphael for great service and the owner/chef for wonderful food. Lovely seafood starters then pizza and calzone absolutely perfect. Beer and cider then tiramisu to die for and Sicilian limoncello. Arr it was almost like being in Italy!,,

We ordered an Italian Picnic from Deli Volare, my wife collected and took to Lytham Proms, Russell Watson was performing, in the open, and luck on our side - no rain. What a fantastic time, everyone enjoying being out, plenty of space, no hassle just good music and a very good PICNIC. All the people around us where we got it from, and of course we told them, all I can say is, looking at everyone else I am certain we had the best. Can't wait till we can do it any, hopefully next year!

Booked for outside table to enjoy the fabulous weather did this over the phone dealt with professionally explained husband was celiac staff said not a problem they could offer a good menu arrived at the restaurant table was ready and reserved seated greeted by two very friendly members of staff knowledgeable about menu had the cheese and meat platter for starters very tasty supplied gluten free savoury bread bites which my husband said were really nice all in all the main meals wine and coffee were excellent it was our first time at Volare and it certainly wont be our last now on our favourite list of restaurants well done Volare

Fabulous takeaway tonight as always. We collect and it’s always piping hot when we get it home. Crab avocado starter delicious, garlic tomato bread yummy. 1 Pizza and 3 pasta dishes all perfect. Highly recommend especially farfalle salmone

During lockdown and other restrictions, we have had a few takeaway meals from Deli Volare as we did two days ago. The standard is very high: the food is delicious and very well-presented. Once the food is served, the dining experience is far above the average takeaway meal (although nothing can quite recreate the experience of a meal at Volare!). Delivery has always been prompt and efficient. Highly recommended.

THE best coffee in Southport, and for a lot of other towns. PS the food's good too and the Italian groceries.

We enjoyed a takeaway lunch which was delivered most efficiently. The food was delicious - I chose bruschetta topped with cheese and walnuts, beef medallions with Diane sauce and profiteroles for dessert. The others had pate, pizza and lasagne. We all greatly enjoyed the meal which, as always, was generous and a real treat. Thank you, Deli Volare!

A little bit of Italy in the North West. We had a lovely relaxed lunch with great service from our Italian hosts. Wonderful homemade pasta with generous monkfish in my Rustica. Also a great selection of vino. We also sneaked in a dessert. Again, homemade. Decent value and we are happy to recommend Volare.

Went here for some drinks with family on a hot and sunny day so we sat outside. We were served by such pleasant staff who brought the drinks to our table. Didn't eat but the food looked delicious. Will definitely come back to try!

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent as usual. We normally use there restaurant but we hadn't booked and it was busy. Never had a bad experience and we will definitely use the deli again

We enjoyed a lovely take away meal from Deli Volare, beautifully packed and presented and delivered on time, and generous portions beautifully cooked. Almost as good as a visit to Volare (but not quite, obviously!) Delicious and thoroughly recommended.

Went with friends to an Italian full bodiedwine and food tasting and what a great time we had, this was our 3rd or 4th visit and can't wait for the next! total tried from their sparkling ( made the same way as Champagne ) - was lovely, a dry white - fantastic, 3 reds, 1 light 2 full bodied, then to finish a dessert wine - good but not for me!The wine was so good, my friend and I have offered to go and work - for nothing - but more wine & food!!

We sat outside on Lord Street on a sunny day and had lunch here. All delicious and very good value, with friendly service. Recommended.

We have been regular diners at Volare (just 2 doors up Lord Street form the Deli) and so were really pleased that Onofrio and Cinzia opened the Deli. The Deli so reminds us of places we have been to in Italy. It is small and very informal. The food is authentic, well served and remarkably good value. We go in nearly every week. They make several fresh dishes each day. My favourites are the parmigiana and the fish pie. Best cannoli in Southport. I thought it was time I wrote a review. Give it a try

We finally made it to Deli Volare, having promised ourselves for ages that we would visit. We only popped in for a coffee and were not disappointed - excellent coffee, served in a cup (!) - so much better, in my view, than a huge mug which I can never finish. The welcome was very friendly and the place is warm and cosy. There is a tempting array of produce on sale - I came away with an apple tart for later. (I know it’s good, because It is a favourite choice when we go to the restaurant, two doors away.) The restaurant menu is available at the Deli. We shall be back!

My wife and I are frequent visitors to this gem. All customers, new and regular are given a warm and friendly welcome. There is a wide variety of food and if you are unsure of what to choose, ask, as both the staff and owner will be happyto explain the dishes on offer. On this occasion I had the excellent lasagne while my wife tried a new dish ofBuongustaio which is pasta, shrimps, petit pois, a hint of madras curry and acheese topping. Absolutely delicious !!!!!!! We often visit Deli Volare on Lord Street as a family in search of a light bite and great pizzas and we are never disappointed. Their tavola calda choices aren’t expansive but we are in heaven savouring the arancinis and the tuna pie. But is the melanzane that warms my heart. The service is traditional Italian welcoming, courteous and friendly every time. A little gem in Southport.

We had Ham and Cheese crossaints at lunch time. They were gorgeous. Very tasty and not at all dry. We then had a Nutella Lattice to follow and very flavoursome coffees. Service very good and friendly. Well worth returning.

My husband and I visited for an early evening meal. The staff were very friendly and were attentive for the duration of our stay. My husband had the prawns to start which he said were delicious and I had the Caprese salad. We shared a maghuerita pizza which was deliciously fresh with a thin crusty base and a bottle of wine. I ordered some Cannoli from the deli and we had this with some freshly made coffee. The food was lovely and we had no complaints at all. We enjoyed it that much that we booked to go to a wine tasting evening!

Food excellent, really good value, but we thought the service wasn’t as efficient as it could have been. The staff were friendly and smiley, however we noticed that people who came in the restaurant after us, had the orders taken before us, even though we arrived before our booking time.

We visit this wonderful deli most weekends as it is simply fabulous! Authentic Italian food and some tasty small plates you may never have encountered before. The parmigiana is out of this world! It is family run and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Coffee is pretty good too and the little cakes! I pretty much love it all! If you haven’t visited I suggest you do! It will enrich your life!

Called in here on Friday night for a family meal. The place is very intimate and cosy a little like eating in an Italian family front room. The staff were very attentive and polite. The menu offered a wide range of Italian dishes. The food came quickly and was very well presented. This is some of the best Italian food I have had for a long time. We will certainly return.

Wow, what a great little place! Our first time in Southport so we had no idea where to eat. Looked on trip advisor and realised volare was only a couple of minutes from where we were sitting enjoying a cocktail. We saw the sign for deli volare and thought it looked more like a little cafe than a restaurant. (We didn’t realise that the restaurant was a couple of doors down). I’m so glad that we made this little “mistake “.

We made one of our occasional visits to Southport and had to visit our favourite Café/ restaurant. Glad we did, just as good. First stop for a morning coffee and a pasta. Called back later for a reasonably priced Lasagne and a melanzane parmigiana. Lovely day so sat outside and enjoyed the food, a glass of wine and a non-alcoholic Moretti for me. At peace with the world.

I was lucky enough to visit this nice little place on a beautiful day so we were able to take advantage of the outside tables. It never occurred to me before but Lord Street, having such a wide pavement, lends itself very well to outdoor eating! The Volare deli like its sister reastaurant next door is authenic Italian. They serve coffees, pastries and light lunches (including daily specials). Everything seemed well-prepared and tasted excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional. Definitely a place to return to.

I’ve been wanting to visit for ages as I love the Volare restaurant. This place didn’t disappoint as it felt a very authentic Italian experience. Lovely atmosphere and the most delicious red wine I’ve had in ages.

It was quite a nice meal. There were 8 of us and we where surprised at how nice the meal was. It is only a small bistro really. It is very good value for money.

My wife and I are regular visitors to this wonderful deli and decided to go for the special Valentines Day three course menu which included a bottle of Prosecco.

We happened upon Deli Volare on a day out to Southport - what a lovely surprise! We had a pizza each - both were excellent - and the service was great. Highly recommended.

Lovely little authentic Italian deli on Lord Street in 'The Northern Quarter'. Went for some drinks for a friends birthday. Sat outside in the sunshine, chatting and watching the world go by. Waiter service at the table. Ordered some food which was delicious.

2nd night in Southport for the annual British Pyromusical Championships! We eat every year in Volare Restaurant which is superb. This year we came early so we could visit Volare twice!!!!!

Enjoyed a lovely light lunch in the deli. Authentic selection of Italian food and wines as well as a good range of antipasti, hand made pizzas and pastries. For those wanting a full meal Volare Restaurant next door but one offers a Special Lunch Menu and a la caret Evening Menu specialising in Fresh Fish and Pasta. Well worth a visit.

Run by the same family that have Volare Restaurant (two doors away). Similar high standards. Good value and some tasty snacks/pastries. Great range of wine too. Definitely worth trying.

Love Volare so thought it was time to give the deli a visit. I've been in a couple of times but never really had food. With friends and put at table at back in front of enticing wine rack. Chairs and tables very basic and uneven and definitely feel like this area is an afterthought. Food however is excellent as expected although quite slow to arrive. There is a deli menu but you can also order from main restaurant menu although my issue here is that I'm paying restaurant prices to sit in a back room with no atmosphere on a very uncomfortable chair. To be honest I prefer the main restaurant unless popping in at lunch.

A wonderful deli for amazing food, and a seating area to enjoy it. Owned by the same lovely people who have Volare restaurant 2 doors up. If in the North end of Lord Street it's the ideal place to go

Came here for some drinks and some lunch. It was one of our favourite places to eat on Lord Street. The arancini ball was very tasty indeed. Well worth a visit!

We have eaten at Volare on numerous ocassions since it opened over 10 years ago and it was great to see that Onofrio and Cinzia have opened this new venture, Deli Volare, a few doors down from their well established restaurant.

Just had takeaway Deli food so far, planning on calling in for a Pizza at the weekend. The pastries are simply divine!! Fabulous dried pasta and had some lovely Chicken and Potato dish as a takeout - the food takes you back to Sunny days spent in Italy. Can't wait to go back at the weekend.

The ‘Deli Volare’ is a drop of Italy in the heart of Southport and, as I understand it, has only been open 4 months. There are not many seats/tables so get there quick before its’ popularity spreads. It is just a few yards from the Italian restaurant ‘Volare’, reviewed by Trip Advisor followers but not tried by this contributor, under the same owner.

We enjoyed a very nice lunch with my colleague. Food was excellent and fresh. The range of produce and food available is very good. What can I say! Well done and may you long remain in Southport.

We visited the deli just before Chriatmas and came away with a bag full of cured mets, Italian cheeses and some rather fabulous and not oft found Italian wines and liqueurs. This deli is linked (though not physically) to the restaurant Volare a couple of doors down and offers high quality goods and high quality service with knowledgeable staff. You can even have a latte whilst you muse or a cheeky glass of something a little stronger. A great addition.

This place is unique. It proposes actually very high quality products.

Noticed that my favourite Italian Restaurant in Southport has opened a Deli (near to the restaurant). We just dropped in for a coffee and snack. Good quality and value. Some nice Wines too. Will try again next time up in Southport and review again.
