This restaurant was recommended and certainly did not disappoint. Every bite was delicious, portions more than sufficient. Patricia, our host, was so warm and attentive and we would definitely like to return

We are Italians and we have a dinner like this in an Italian restaurant out of Italy! Five amazing courses and great atmosphere realized by Patrizia, great host and chef. The dessertS were very good, tiramisú top! We felt at home.

What an amazing night. 5 months in the pipeline and it was so worth the wait. Beautiful little venue and host. The food was absolutely incredible and was definitely more of an experience rather than just a meal. We were so welcomed and will definitely be returning in the near future.

We didn’t know quite what to expect when we booked, but I’m so glad we did! What a wonderful night, starting with the warmest greeting I’ve had entering a restaurant (This care and warmth remains all night). We attended a vegan night as I’m dairy free and my bf is vegetarian. The food was delicious!!!! Full of flavour and you can just tell it’s been lovingly made. I enjoyed there was no menu, but you are given the opportunity to advise if there is anything you can’t/don’t eat. I highly recommend this little gem to experience something special in Carlisle!!

What a lovely meal we had tonight. From start to finish (5 courses) the food was so tasty. Patrizia is a gem! A wonderful host who puts you at ease, you enter as guests but leave as friends! Please visit if you can and enjoy some delicious Italian offerings. Che bontà!

We'd heard about this place through friends, heard about the long waiting list for a table and had to try it and we were not disappointed! This is not a glitzy marble and bright light fancy restaurant, this is the most welcoming, lovely, traditional and delightful experience. If feels like we were in Pat's own dining room in a villa in Italy! This was our first time in a proper restaurant with our 10yo autistic son so we were a little apprehensive but "Nonna" Pat, the most wonderful host, immediately put us at ease and really put the effort in to make us all and especially Dylan feel welcome. We were presented with so much food across 5 and a bit courses, half of which we'd never seen before but we all loved it. Do not eat all day before you go, it's a real belly filler! 100% recommend to anyone who loves food and a warm, friendly dining atmosphere.

I had heard great things about this place, and the wonderful hostess, Patrizia. Neither disappointed. All the generously portioned dishes are lovingly prepared and delicious. It will certainly be on our list for the future...next month is already booked.

Firstly, this is a place born out a passion for food and a love of people. You're made sooooo welcome upon arrival, it's almost like being invited into someone's home. Secondly, the food is really good. It's homely, tasty and unique (at least to Carlisle). Thirdly, the price, you will not get a meal like this anywhere else for the price she charges. If I had one criticism, it would be the sheer amount of food. It's all lovely and very clear that it's been made with love, but sometimes (just sometimes) less is more! With that said, I don't think she would be offended if you asked for a doggy bag 😆 I will 100% revisit in the future.

Fabulous night at Casa Crisci last night for our friend's 60th. Delicious food but it was a LOT. Forget tight fitting clothes, you'll need big pants. I was absolutely stuffed. Lovely decorations and table settings and a great ambience. The owner Patrizia is such a lovely lady.

Mamma Mia ! Incredible food. Authentic, delicious, soulful food made with Patrizia’s loving care. Long wait for a booking so plan 6 months ahead but you will not be disappointed. Ambience is like an Italian vineyard restaurant, warm, friendly and the smells are heavenly. Menu is set and gives you 4 courses of beautiful food. I don’t know how this Italian lovely does it. She makes 8 points of contact with every table as she appears to be effortless as she cooks, serves and clears making you feel like you’re the only people there. It’s unique, a real gem in the middle of Carlisle. Patrizia says her mission is for you to arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend, an adage taken from her father’s legacy. I waited 6 months for a table and was not disappointed. Awesome, angel at work. I had rebooked before I even got to the pudding course ! Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Had the best time, Pat's service and food was completely flawless. Vegetarian options for both of us wasn't an issue at all and was gorgeous. What a brilliant night! Well recommended!

We have now been twice and have loved the food both times. I forget the hosts name but she makes everyone feel very welcome and gives a great explanation of the various courses. We can’t wait to go back.

Wow having had half a day to reflect I don't have enough superlatives to describe this place. From the moment we stepped inside we felt as if we'd been whisked away to the continent, far from Carlisle. Having heard rumours about this secret escape my friends and I decided to join the waiting list, and boy it was worth the wait! The five course heaven was only topped by the 11/10 hospitality provided by Patrizia, the whole occasion really was first class. Thank you Patrizia and Laura, thank you so very much. Ciao.

12 months on the waiting list was worth it. There is no menu, everyone eats the same food in one sitting. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Patriza is so friendly and welcoming, she creates such a lovely atmosphere in such a small place. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. It’s definitely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all rounder .

The most unbelievably good, authentic Italian food in the heart of Carlisle. Handmade with love, care and attention. This is easily Michelin star.

The best place to eat in Carlisle!! Make sure you plan ahead and book a table. (Waiting list is 14 months). This lovingly prepared Italian food it the best I have ever had. Patrizia is the most welcoming hostess, and you can really tell she puts her heart and soul into the food. The 5 course evening meal and 3 course lunch are both amazing. Make sure you arrive hungry because you will not want to leave any of it. I have never been anywhere that provides such a personal welcoming service.

The hostess with the mostest Patrizia cooks up the most amazingly delicous food all with plenty of smiles and love. Superb set menu that also caters for those with dietary requirements. Plan ahead as tables are booked up to 9 months or more in advance its thats good................

My 4th visit tonight and it just gets better. Cibo a Casa Crisci is amazing and Patrizia is the perfect host. No menu just 5 courses of absolute Italian food heaven. No photos of the soup and home made focaccia or the main course of ravioli, to eager to eat and forgot! Booked to go again in July - booked in August last year.

What can I say about Casa Crisci. What a sublime evening. Arrived for 6.30pm as instructed by Patrizia. We were walmly welcomed and our first course was awaiting us at our table. We then proceeded to gently miander our way through the most fabulous meal, eating numerous things that were new to us alongside some familiar favourites, but everything was extremely tasty and the love and care that was put into every morsel of food was obvious. Patrizia clearly spends a lot of time formulating the menu and painstakingly making it happen. We will be back for more. Highly recommended.

What can I say other than the wait from summer was definitely worth it, the food was so delicious authentic and plentyful, Parrizia the owner host is so welcoming to all her customers the atmosphere inside is lovely, I can not recommend this place enough, how ever I now know why the wait is so long to get booked, I only took one photo of my desert trio, heavenly every mouthful :) Until my next visit whenever I can get booked Thank you so much for making me and my friend so welcome.

Run by a lovely lady called Patrizia, who was apparently the first Michelin-starred chef in Italy, this is an unusual restaurant serving top-quality food in a room at the back of a small business centre. Contact is by Facebook: 'Cibo a Casa Crisci' (tough for those of us without it but where there's a will...) and the restaurant operates on a small number of lunchtimes and evenings per week offering a "table d'hôte" service ("a prezzo fisso" in Italian?) which on our visit, apparently generally, was made up of courses containing what you might describe as a selection of tasting dishes. Dessert, for example, had four mini desserts. Given the quality of the food, it is unsurprising that customers want to return and word-of-mouth has built up demand to the point that, if you make contact to book, the next available reservation will be many months away. Though frustrating, it will be worth the wait!

Without a doubt, I can honestly say that this was the best restaurant meal I've ever had. To say that the food and service was brilliant is an understatement. To anyone who is pondering whether to book a table or not,then do so. The wait will be truly worth it.

We visited this little surprise with some friends for a nice mid week supper. Highly recommend this very special Italian restaurant. Small, friendly, warm and welcoming, if you think you like Italian food, you've tried nothing until you visit this one. Loved it and can't wait to visit again. Book well ahead, it's very popular, and take cash. Thankyou for such a nice meal.

Went with 2 friends having booked in December & had to wait until April to get in, but certainly worth the wait. 5 courses of wonderful homemade food including a plate of 4 wonderful deserts to finish. Trying to book again but may have a long wait.

With a tasting menu prepared just for 24 of us, served by the owner and in an amazing room with murals and artefacts, this is such a truly wonderful experience. The food is authentic Italian, cooked to perfection and Patricia looked after us like we were her family. It would be a fantastic find in Umbria, to have it in on our doorstep in Cumbria is unbelievable. Not to be missed!

Small restaurant, only 14 seats, so book well in advance. Lovely home made food and a great, welcoming atmosphere.
