Had a lovely lunch. Very welcoming, attentive staff, great food and reasonably priced.

Service was good, great selection of dishes, wine was great, gelatto Al afogatto was amazing.

Lovely place to dine ,a good selection of food and drink service was good and served up perfectly and ample portion size will definitely visit again soon

Lovely restaurant, with a great ambience. From the friendly welcome at the door, to the delicious food. My friend and I had the cod loin, it was amazing. Served on a lemon risotto, beautifully presented and so delicious. A large glass of wine and homemade tiramisu to follow. A real taste of Italy. The service was excellent, all the staff were efficient and attentive. Really good value for money . I will definitely recommend my friends to visit.

My favourite restaurant in Carlisle. Why go to Italy? The food is amazing the service second to none. Nothing is too much and my risotto was tweaked just for me (not being a big meat lover). Very surprised to read previous review. The steps are visible from photos of the building. Can’t wait for our next visit and it won’t be long. Never been to another Italian locally since coming to this gem. Keep up the good work everyone.

We were in Carlisle for the weekend and we booked a table for 8:00 When we arrived we where met with an issue as the only access to the building was up three or four steps which is an issue as I am in a wheelchair but we could get round this. I could’ve got up the steps, but as we got in we were told our table was upstairs and the top of a windy staircase which obviously has a wheelchair user was a no-no there were tables downstairs. Fine all the tables were full, but they weren’t willing to ask anybody if they would mind moving before their food came. And the time of night we are unable to find anywhere else to eat, so we had to have a takeout in our hotel room and after the effort of getting ready to go out and pay for taxes, the experience left me feeling a little dehumanised the staff were not helpful at all so if you have mobility issues do not attempt to go to this place because they will not help you out. They will not try accommodate you and they will leave you feeling well. Frankly s*#t I will never ever go to this place again disgrace.

Brilliant dinner spot we found passing through Carlisle. Food was delicious and our server Oriana was so friendly and knowledgable about the food and wine and was extremely helpful. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent and staff very attentive. Very good food choice for anyone who has coeliac. My daughter has this and the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. Can’t wait to go back.

Christmas Eve at SannaS! Gianfranco and his team made us feel very welcome, food was fantastic and a real elegant family atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend whether it’s a quick meal on an evening or an occasion, SannaS won’t leave you disappointed.

Excellent venue, the place is immaculately decorated and even further enhanced by the attentive, polite and professional staff. Very impressed even before the food which was amazing. I had the lasagna al forno and my partner had the salmon bartoletti. Highly recommended. We had such a beautiful time there and will certainly be back soon.

Lovely food, made us something not on menu without a second thought. Early bird price between 5pm and 6pm was a bonus. Downgraded atmosphere slightly as a bit of echoey (not a real word but describes it well). Good service, would eat there again. Lasagne and sea food risotto were lovely.

An excellent meal served efficiently and with kindness despite the resteraunt being very busy.

We visited on a Sunday evening and enjoyed great pizzas, Mediterranean vegetables and fabulous fries. We will be back soon!

Not many places open on a Monday but this one is. Very well worth going to. A friendly welcome with lovely photos of Italy on the wall. Tasty food - not the usual Italian but Sardinian specialities - which were delicious.Good value too.

I booked for eight of us on a Monday night at this charming little restaurant. When we arrived it was packed, we were shown to our table straightaway and our server Emma was with us immediately to take our drinks order. The menu offered a good range of starters, mains of pastas, pizzas and risottos, but also blade of beef and chicken dishes. The house wine was very good and reasonably priced. All the girls that served us were excellent and friendly despite being very busy, but a HUGE shout out to Emma who looked after us throughout and nothing was too much trouble. A fabulous evening at this lovely Sardinian restaurant - try it you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant doesn’t need more 5* reviews… but it does deserve them. Lovely Sardinian food; flavoursome and filling in a good way;the staff were really attentive to us and still serviced a table of 18; and the atmosphere was lively, couples, families and the large work group of 18.

They could make almost anything on the menu gluten free so I was definitely booking a table and I didnt regret it. I had gf garlic bread and pasta carbanara and it was amazing. I didnt have room for dessert. The staff were brilliant and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely too. A great Monday night meal for me. Thank you x

We were recommended to come here by a few people.but unfortunately it wasn’t perfect for us .. our mains came out before our starters .. which was very quickly sorted by the great serving staff .. when my main came out which was chicken risotto it was over cooked and tasted very gluppy. So I didn’t eat it . I did tell the waitress and she just said she would let chief know .and that seamed to be the end of it .. !! Nothing was offered or adjusted on our bill .I don’t often write reviews has I work in hospitality so I know it’s hard work .. but I think the could have dealt with my not eating my main meal a little better.

Amazing Sardinian food - I hadn't had Seafood Fregula before - absolutely delicious (wide variety of seafood plenty of it). Partner had seafood pizza - equally pleased. Excellent and friendly service. Will definitely visit again when in Carlisle

Arrived 15 minutes early and were welcomed and shown to our table. We were given time to look at the menu and our drinks order taken. The food and service was of a very high standard and the restaurant spotlessly clean. Will always return.

Beutiful meal here last night,great sevice great staff,the food was amazing we had 3 course prawns and garlic mushrooms we both had chicken with broccli, tiramasu and pancake for desert, the nicest meal I have had in a very long time,busy for a Monday night,staff were very much on the ball great service,we'll definitely be back,see you soon.sorry I didn't get 1 photo.

First time here and we loved it went out for a family meal and the staff were lovely we sat upstairs up the spiral staircase near the bar starter I had the pork and wild boar meatballs main I had pepperoni, chicken and fresh sausage pizza and a thin curst omg it was amazing and last I had an Affogato and I have theses every were I go and his is the best one by far. So great place clean and great food. The only downside is it can be a bit load especially when placed next to big tables...

Visited with a group of friends and o wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, I’m critical when it comes to food and service but I couldn’t fault either.

Visited SannaS for the first time this evening with my mum. Upon entering we were truly blown away with the ambience. The restaurant was lively and extremely cosy. Decor absolutely stunning! Staff were friendly, very knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble! They went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. We had the mozzarella frittas and meatballs to start, followed by the malloredus pasta and fregola fruitti di mare for our main courses. The food was spectacular; super tasty and authentic. Like nothing we’ve tasted before in any other italian restaurant. This has to be a new favourite restaurant of ours and we will certainly be back soon!

Once again, I’ve been to Sanna’s. Once again, I’ve had amazing food, lovely wine and the staff are brilliant. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, I will definitely be back soon 😊

Visited Sannas with friends last night for the fist time. Lovely restaurant to be fare and staff were fine. I ordered Olives as a starter which were bitter, bruised and cracked!!! For my main I ordered Linguine with tomatoes and seafood. I got, one king prawn, 3 mussels and the rest was made up of mushy cockles. The tomatoes were mush and the linguine overcooked. Needless to say the meal was left. Very dissatisfied with my experience. The music playing in the background was like funeral music! Such a shame because it is a nice restaurant. I won't be back, I will stick to what I know in future.

Having been to Italy in the last year our next Italian meal out was going to be something special, and Sannas did the job! Fantastic food. Delicious. Scrumptious. Enormous Pizzas and extremely good pasta. Our celebration day as a family was topped off with a great dining experience. We also inadvertently arrived an hour early and they found us a table no problem. Lovely staff and surroundings Highly recommended

Called in on spec for a quick lunch and received a warm welcome and were shown to a nice table upstairs. Our order was taken and served promptly. We both had pizzas which were fantastic and great value, as it turned out to be happy hour. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to returning next time we’re in Carlisle at lunchtime.

Great afternoon celebrating a friends 50th birthday. The sea bass served on a bed of risotto was amazing. Lovely atmosphere and great service.

We had a fantastic meal here. The staff are welcoming and really passionate about Sardinian food, taking time to explain anything we weren't sure about. You have to try the Sebadas Alla Miele dessert. It was wonderful, the light sweet citrus and really good honey absolutely made it.

Faultless, Excellent food, good service, friendly staff. Not relaxed atmosphere, staff waiting near table for us to finish courses. Felt rushed to finish food and leave premises. Payment machine brought to the table while we still had drinks left. 3 staff members clearly watching us until we finished. Was a celebratory meal for our anniversary, 100 mile round trip, wouldn't go again given the feeling of being rushed.

Well what can I say, our first visit, won’t be our last. Very warm welcome from very attentive staff. Food was excellent, service great, our visitors are coming back to Cumbria in April, they said book a table for their next visit. Really like their Carbonara, not like most horrible ones in UK using cream instead of egg. Just so good. Nice service as well. Will always go back.

Top notch Italian food with a distinctive Sardinian twist. This place is likely to have some dishes that you have never seen before. The food and service were faultless, and the only thing "wrong" with the atmosphere was that the place was a bit quiet (which is a bonus for many).

A small-ish Italian eatery on the corner of the main street of Carlisle. I had the fruitti de mari as my main and it did not disappoint. I would heartily recommend.

Went for a surprise 30th birthday, food was excellent and service was fantstic. I have a nut allergy so the chef made my meal completely away from any contamination and made a seperate sauce, really could not ask for better consideration and service. Our waitress was one in a million so accommodating helpful and friendly, it was my 1st time there but will certainly be back.

Wandered around Carlisle on a somewhat dreary evening (not uncommon I hear from locals), though pretty nice Christmas lights in the shopping center. A number of reasonable restaurants in the old center and some nice pubs. SannaS caught our eye as being cozy, with an applealing menu. Place was quite busy but they found a table for two. Very good meal (fregola dishes were great, good inexpensive house wines), friendly staff with great service (thanks to our servers Grace and Emma who were super, and happy to chat about life in Carlisle when they had a spare minute). The combination of good food, great service and a very pleasant atmosphere (big family tables, romantic looking couples and groups of friends out) made for a very nice evening. Not sure we will have the opportunity to go back to Carlisle any time soon, but the restaurant is worth a stop if you are there.

Have dined her a few times now, came across whilst down in city working over past month. Great food, service staff are spot on. Can't wait till next time.
