The best restaurants in Scott West Lancashire North West

I visited here with colleagues for a mid-week evening meal. There are some great deals on such as early bird where you get three courses for £16.95. I opted for that as the options I was going to get for starter and main were on there anyway and it worked out cheaper to do that than order them from the main menu (plus I got dessert in the early bird price too!) Starter of fried halloumi was really nicely cooked and a perfect sized portion. My colleague had calamari but they felt it was a bit soggy for their liking. For main I had penne dolca vita which was really tasty, It was nicely cooked, had a decent kick and flavour and was suitably portioned. Dessert I had ice-cream which was fine. Overall we had a good evening here and the food was a standard expected of a good Italian restaurant. Service was friendly and generally efficient. Would recommend for a good value Italian meal

The best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been I’ have been to so many restaurants and this particular restaurant has great food. the staff were all very friendly. The kids loved it and before we left they had given the kids free lollipops and fortune cookies the kids we’re amazed by there lovely fish tank and they let the kids feed the fish for anyone that’s looking for a family dinner I recommend this place

Top bar with a great atmosphere, range of beers and gins etc., the food is good, reasonably priced with choices of sharing or large portions, always hot and fresh, prepared upstairs in small kitchen. Can get a little crowded has it's not that big, but that contributes to the atmosphere and quaintness of the interior.

Portions so small you'll be looking at the plate and wondering if it's actually edible, since you're guaranteed to be starving after finishing. I will never see a smaller pizza in my life. Very poor value for money overall.

Before i leave this poor review I’d like to state that I’m bartender an understand the difficulties of the customer facing role especially during technical difficulties however I’ve never felt more Ill treated by a member of staff in my life. The tone I got spoke to in an basically shouted to a degree due was frankly appalling because it was obviously on my face the technical difficulty was an inconvenience however Im aware it is no fault of the staff therefore I was spoke to horribly an had my food slammed on the counter once I’d paid. Genuinely in shock of how bad it was however the pastries are absolutely unreal but the treatment was that poor that businesses it’s self should be aware.

Met the most obnoxious, rude individual who told me to basically go to hell with an order.you could not order a starter. Sadly, he is the most degenerative individual. At least I am not the only person to place to leave a negative review. Please take a look. Avoid, avoid avoid. They clearly don't need your business. I hope you are closed down. Not fit for purpose. Disgusting vile individual. I rang back for his name and was told that using explicit language to hang up the call. I was trying to give him constructive feedback. A waste of time It's great when a lamentable company can act like this in the current climate. Disgusting.

This place is an utter shambles! Ordered for collection on the app - the app told me it would be ready in 5 mins which would have been perfect for my train departure time. I got to the shop and not only was it not ready it hadn’t been been started. I ordered two coffees and a panini. I waited 17 mins and still nothing. I went to the counter for a refund and the girl said she couldn’t help me, didn’t know how to refund, also seemed completely uninterested in helping me and to make matters worse she didn’t even have my panini in stock. Needless to say due to this incompetence I missed my train. Just an utter chaotic shambles. Will never return and quite possibly avoid Costa forever. A serious overhaul needed

Friday 18th April 2025 Today, I had a pint in this architectural gem of a pub, lots of rooms with old-fashioned feel to the place bar staff. Really pleasant music was the decor to the pub, good clientele, and it was a cosy place to drink in Would have got 5 stars if there were 3 hand pumped ales on tonight

Visited today for Sunday roast and our whole table loved every second, the food was amazing and the staff were lover and super attentive. We will definitely be back soon! :)

I ordered a portion of nachos with my pizza. Supposed to feed two people but it was just a handful although we couldn’t test that theory because what was delivered was a charred pile of garbage. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Prices are expensive for what you get. Food was OK but nothing special

Ordered through uber eats and paid for priority delivery but there was no drivers. The girl at melts rang us and explained and said she was going to drop it off on her way home! A driver came available shortly after, when I opened it they had put a sweet tub and Bueno in my order extra 🥰 thank you so much for keeping us updated and giving us the extra treats! Everything was delicious 😊
