Lost & Found in West Lancashire

Unbelievable BAD!, we had pre booked our meals and paid a deposit for 5.30pm. The first starters came out at 6.15 with no apology then after this a waiter asked us if we want to order food! The main meals came out at 6.50. We had the sunday lunch platters which was basically 2 lunches served on a block of wood similar to a cheese board. The food was luke warm then with it being on a cold block of wood went cold very quickly, they also gave us cold plates to take it off the wooden board.We complained to a manager who looked like a rabbit in the headlights totally out of his depth. We were offered free drinks. We then had to clear our own plates and empty glasses on to the next table. Another party of 6 people had been waiting for half an hour for their desserts they just got off we followed suit and didn't have our desserts. We were given 30% discount but this the worst restaurant I have ever been in and I'm 66! Avoid at all costs!

I hosted an event and while the occasion itself was enjoyable for guests, I was extremely disappointed with the service and lack of cost transparency. Despite confirming details in advance, the food was served late, guests were left without basic tableware, and I was hit with unexpected VAT charges that were never clearly communicated. To make matters worse, I was publicly confronted by security despite making a substantial initial payment, which was both embarrassing and unprofessional. I reached out to management to discuss these issues, but they have completely ignored my complaint. For the price paid, I expected a far better experience. I would not recommend this venue to anyone looking for reliable service or professional treatment.

We had a fantastic experience at lost and found watching the Liverpool match! Even though they were fully booked, the manager went out of her way to find us a table in the bar. The food was great the beef drip burger was good, and the salt and pepper loaded fries were absolutely delicious. The bar staff were super friendly and had quick services seeing how busy it was . Special thanks to Charlotte and Lucy for looking after us so well. We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered the brisket but it came cold and dry to the point that was inedible. The people that served our food were lovely and said that they’d “take it off the bill” but we had already paid and didn’t want to create a scene at the busy bar so we left quietly. Really disappointed and definitley won’t be returning.

We went to Lost and Found on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my sons 18th and it was absolutely brilliant! The service from Charlotte was impeccable, her attitude, manner and courtesy was exceptional, I was truly impressed by the customer service. There was a singer on who was also amazing and I could have sat listening to her all day. The food was also brilliant!! If you haven't been to this place -it is a hidden jewel in Ormskirk - Thank you for a brilliant day, my family are from Wales and agree it was exceptional - everything!

Good for drinks and a catch up. I went for dinner on New years eve and the food was fantastic and the cocktails were great. Went back this evening and had the exact same starter and meal and it was terrible. Freeing cold inside, needed coats and scarf on through the meal. Service was terrible and i remember this girl from New years eve. The lads on new year were great and the older girl. Tonight the young girl has no service skills at all. Ran out of tequila. The brisket was shocking. Smash! Overcooked, dry, tasteless brisket. Clearly warmed up from yesterday and dried out. The frozen green peas weren’t as good as the fresh vegetable variety on new years. The mash was powdery, stuck together in a clump and discoloured. I won’t ever be coming back as this evening has been completely ruined. Cold food and ok at best!

Attended bottomless brunch 7/12/24. Dreadful food. Freezing cold had to keep coats on whole time we were there. Bar staff were great. Think our waiter was called Lee, he was brilliant. Never again.

We booked Lost and Found for my wife's 50th birthday celebration and were absolutely delighted with the venue. The room looked lovely and all the staff could not have been more helpful. We received numerous compliments from our guests about how nice the venue was and also how good the food was! I couldn't think of anything I would change for the better! Many thanks.

Lucy and Leylah you made my sons birthday get together perfect in every single way. What a credit to Lost & Found you both are! We hired the venue (for free ) upstairs, The food was absolutely delicious, i would recommended the roast dinner sharing platter but the whole menu is scrumptious. We had a brilliant afternoon/evening. Lucy & Leylah definitely went above and beyond to make it all so special, from birthday cake candle lighting to photo taking, to tending to everything with a smile , thank you both again so much The Grant Family 1.12.24 (2pm)

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by lovely welcoming staff. There was a lovely blond lady possibly the Manager who made me/us instantly feel welcome. Lots of warmth and smiles made us feel totally relaxed and welcome ❤️ Arranged for the Saturday night entertainment was a brilliant tribute Tina Turner solo artist who absolutely incredible. Fabulous. In terms of food we ordered chicken skewers and rice which arrived within 15 minutes from when the order was placed. Brilliant! Fast efficient service on a Saturday and the venue was full. Food came out hot and very tasty indeed. Defo order that again and will go back without question ‘ Lost and Found is the name and what an appropriate name it turned out to be ‘We definitely found a great place which we will go back before Christmas and it won’t be lost in our memory. It was a family and friends afternoon tea for a baby shower. Booked for 1pm . Very slow service took nearly 1 hour to eventually get everyone's order for tea coffee. So by the time the sandwiches and cakes came, we had drunk our tea and coffee. The sandwiches were very poor. cheap white bread cut into 4 triangles one triangle had a tiny slither of ham. Small cakes and scones were the only saving grace... the one girl serving us seemed so disinterested, no customer interaction at all.

Always come here with the hubby, but we had the most unreal night the other week when they had wellzy’s magic there! He is an amazing magician, just popped to our table and did roughly 5 tricks - Amazing and we were blown away! Thanks so much for a great experience xx

This bar is amazing! Always pour a perfect Guinness and for good prices. wellzys magic was amazing aswell with his magic display, blew our minds!!

We went to Lost &Found 22nd September, we being my husband and I. We both had a starter then a lamb roast. The waiter made us feel welcome and service was impeccable, thank you so much The food was fantastic and excellent value. We are so glad we found lost & found and most definitely will call again. I’m quite shocked at how poor the service was during my visit this afternoon/evening. Me and 2 friends booked last week for the Sunday menu, 3pm booking but arrived at 3:07pm. The young girl working behind the bar was so awfully rude. She had no intentions of serving us so we asked about our table, her response was ‘I’ll see if it’s still available’ whilst walking away. implying it wasn’t, as we were slightly late. She never returned back to us to show us to a table. We waited & then got hold of another member of staff to which he was more helpful and showed us to our table. We all ordered off the Sunday Menu. The roast dinner was stone cold. There was no staff present around the tables to speak to, nor did they seem even bothered about coming back to check on us. We couldn’t have got out of there quick enough. Awful service, and awful food

Went in this afternoon and felt welcomed by the gentleman with the beard straight away We ordered cocktails which were amazing but the main thing was the bbq pulled pork burger, it was fantastic I would definitely recommend for any couples to go to for a little date night

Went to this little gem today for lunch and wow the food was amazing our server Tony was great we will definitely be returning

Fabulous service and fantastic food. Fish n Chips were amazing. Bangers and Mash the best ever (and I have a few in my time). Steak baguette - melt in the mouth. No complaints about any of the burgers x 3. Highly recommended. Unfortunately we live in Staffordshire otherwise we would be frequent visitors. Well done !!

Nice interior. Helpful staff. Food took a while to be served, a good 40min. I ordered fish and chips. Almost £15 I left still hungry. No one wants 6 chips cross cross stacked chips. Fish & chips were lovely but very small portion. Friend got fish finger butty way too much bread very little fish. Other friend BLT looked good & she enjoyed just wasn’t toasted like you would expect from a BLT. I wouldn’t go back due to still being hungry and fairly high prices.

Menu not the same as on website. Restaurant part closed. Seating cramped, too close together Staff flustered Didn't stay for the entertainment.

Came here to say with family, slow service, cold food, We all Orders starters, they took over 30 minutes to bring them out. And they came out in dribs and drabs. The garlic bread too the longest. The mains were cold, and I was asked ‘do you want us to heat them up’ errrr no. The lamp shank was basically cold, and was a lamp stew, the mash was watery and the amount of sauce turned it into a slop. Plates were cold, and the portion size was very small. After telling them I wanted a fresh meal they brought the same one back out. It was probably the worst meal I have had in years. Lamp Was still cold, Not good. Very very slow service and served by someone who needs to smile once in a while. Would I go here again? NOT A CHANCE The place was clean, but sorry I have no other positives.

Wonderful night, we were really looked after and the food was great, everyone left very happy and well fed thanks to the fantastic team at Lost and Found!

Food not great, had Sunday lunch, veg not cooked properly and gravy was greasy. Not the best roast we have ever had, won't be going again! To be fair the service wasn't bad.

Tapas food. Beautifully cooked and served. Lovely meal and lovely evening. Prompt service and lively ambience. Fully recommend.

I spent £8.50 on a dish that would barely qualify as a side dish. There were precisely 3 small cheese balls and 2 pieces of bread. I'm not sure of the genius involved in charging almost £10 for something so small, and I'm also not sure of how long it took to hide a bonus tax of 20% at the end of my meal. It's doubly insulting as it was put on my receipt, but the bottom of the receipt was folded upwards to hide it, which you'll see in the photo I took. For food that was "imported from Spain", it tasted awfully reminiscent of the breaded cheese balls that you can find in McDonald's. I think more than anything, the thing that bothers me is that I would have to work for 3 hours at my last job to be able to afford this meal, which would have been 2 hours had there not been this secret taxation. I'm not going and I greatly suggest no one else does, especially when cooking at home is miles cheaper, and most likely tastier.

Had plates from the Thai menu currently an additional option . Fabulous . Apparently Spanish tapas in couple of weeks can’t wait to try it!

I have to say this is the fourth time we have Sunday lunch and it just keeps getting better. The meat is succulent, literally melts in your mouth, the Yorkshire pudding is the biggest I've seen, potatoes, vegetables are on point and the gravy is to die for! Amazing staff, super friendly and accommodating and the chef is always on hand to receive your feedback. Definitely the best roast in Ormskirk!!

Cracking evening after two bad experiences elsewhere in Ormskirk. Staff really welcoming and well trained. We only had drinks but they were fairly priced and served in a great atmosphere. Will go again!

This venue offers a great experience (my Sunday roasts). The food is oozing with flavours and tastes. I enjoy the full provenance menu! Meals are cooked with textures and Beauty. The chefs apply passion and care. The team are extremely friendly and informative without being intrusive. Yas is focused and the general well-being in customer service is tremendous. Good leadership skills. Lost and Found is well appointed with many eating areas too. A real experience and a treat for Ormskirk. One can only recommend! A pleasure to be able to give a positive review. Best wishes team players!

Arrived as a party of 5 adults, the table was only for 4. Struggled to find anything on the menu, when the food arrived I has hardly anyroom to move my arms to eat it. Distinct lack of vegetables and overcooked chips, the chicken was OK. I wasn't paying thank goodness and I won't be rushing back either. The staff where lovely though

Booked in for breakfast and a error on opening times meaned that we were going to be waiting round but that didn't happen. Jasmine was amazing and made us feel so welcome. Food and drink was spot on. They went above and beyond. Can't wait to visit again.

Called in for a drink and stayed hours! A lovely atmosphere in the pub, everyone happy and they had music on at a reasonable level during the day so we could talk. Bar staff were lovely and service was prompt, can’t wait for my next visit.

This was probably the worst meal I have had in a long time, The chicken burger was very dry and tasted of bleach. The beef burger was terrible, with a rubbery texture and in a bright blue bun. I have never seen anything like it. I would have sent it all back but because we with others we did not. The waitress asked us if we needed anything to go with our meal when it was served, I asked for some mayonnaise to make the chicken burger palatable, see forgot so when I went to the bar she was having a coffee. I didn’t want to post such a negative review and completed their online form to raise my concerns directly, they have not replied.

Lovely food this evening with good service in a great setting central to Ormskirk. Very decent portion sizes and lovely drinks selection.
