The best restaurants in Ulverston North South Lakeland North West

Been here on a few occasions fantastic couple that run it.food is always homemade turkey soup was fantastic on Ulverston festival day.mulled wine homemade of course was lovely..always keep returning best cafe in Ulverston..

Spotted while walking from Ford Park to the Barrow Monument. What a find!! Imaginative dishes, fabulous flavours, delightful service … and a quick personal chat with the engaging person we now know to be Mark himself. We’d recommend this place to anyone. And we’d love to return when we’re next in Ulverston. Thanks team. Your Rosette is no mystery … it’s evidently pure skill!

Stopped here for lunch and I had the hunters chicken ciabatta with sweet potato fries. It was very nice indeed. My only complaint was that I got a bone in the chicken which I was going to point out but no-one came to us to ask how our meal was or to take our dishes away, the staff were upstairs as it was closing time and they were clearing up (I assume). When we went to pay for it the girl didn't ask if everthing was ok or how our meal was so I didn't bother saying anything. It didn't stop me from enjoying my meal or my time spent here.

Favourite pub in Ulverston, great for casual drinks with friends. Beer garden has tv for sports and inside is super cosy

Had a great Friday in here but returning the Saturday it was incredible clicky in the back room. The locals quite happily moving tables to spill our drinks and no apology, we left after one drink

Good old English fish & chip shop

Called in for lunch on a Thursday. Lovely old pub - sat in Sid's room by the open fire. Fish and chips was superb, chicken stir fry also excellent. Large portions !

Always lovely to visit the Orangery. Food and drink always great. Staff very friendly. Love to purchase a few items in their shop.

Second visit here and even better .

Lovely pub with a great range of beers. Surprising cheap and service was good.

Saturday 24th February 2024 This great real ale wine bar is a diverse pub, and that is good . Everybody is made welcome. The bar staff superb the 2 hand pumped ales on were local and also the atmosphere is good well worth a visit when in Ulverstone Thursday 2nd January 2025 Today, I again revisited this really quaint atmospheric wine bar/real ale pub. It has a really good local following and polite barstaff and owners. The lovely pub serves 3 mostly local hand pumped ales today. christmas Ales took 2 hand pumps up. I really like this pubs decors inside

Take away only now, no dining in available. Cash only taken Singapore Vermicelli was good as were salt and pepper chicken wings Salt and pepper chips had something sweet sprinkled on them too, which was a little strange

Excellent meals, the most delicious food, great service and atmosphere, friendly, kind and polite. Superb value.

Just ordered a pizza, burger and chicken kebab. Absolutely banging. The free Garlic bread was a bonus I wasn't expecting, I would say it was better than flames and I will be choosing the conti from now on ☻.
