The best restaurants in Kendal Fell South Lakeland North West

Food portions were small and far too expensive for what you got. There was an hour wait between the starter and the main.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat but we did not expect what was delivered to our table soon after ordering. The food was absolutely delicious,I enjoyed a spinach, cheese and mushroom quiche that had been freshly made that morning and potato salad dressed with a grain mustard dressing with tossed lettuce leaves along with beautiful crispy chips . My husband enjoyed a pastrami ciabatta, it was succulent and accompanied with Swiss cheese, salad and a Russian dressing. Served with crispy chips it was a good plateful! All was enjoyed in a lovely warm atmosphere. Thank you so much Joshua Tree.

All the food we chose was excellent. Particularly recommend the Chicken, chorizo and beef paella and the Mexican Green Spaghetti. Loved the chocolate tequila too. Great service- very informative. Friendly atmosphere.

10/10 food. Lady was super friendly as we ordered. There was room to sit down and wait whilst our food was cooked. Food itself was delicious and still piping hot when we arrived back at the hotel which took 10 minutes before we unpackaged it all and ate. Absolutely reccomend going here!

Very nice kitchen with a large selection of meals. Would come here for lunch and dinner. Food was great and there was a large selection of drinks. Dog friendly. Good location. Friendly staff. I would return.

Friendly staff, nice cozy environment

All I wanted was a bowl of soup and some bread. Not much to ask… I am gluten free and pleased to see lots of gluten free options including the soup. I chose the spicy cauliflower but was told I couldn’t have the bhaji or croutons, which is absolutely fine, but then was told they do not offer gluten free bread and never do!! Humm ok bit strange. I asked was it because of the cross contamination and she said no. They just don’t offer it! Plus they do gf cakes and other times so it couldn’t be cross contamination. Ok so when I asked do I have to still pay £7 the normal cost for croutons bread and bhaji she said yes very bluntly. Very disappointing in a vegetarian, whole food cafe! Plus the soup was very watery and over spiced. Sadly I will not be returning!

There’s a huge range of chocolates, teas and coffees here. Coffee can be purchased in multiple sized bags either ground or beans. Teas are loose leaf with teabags also available depending on the type. I bought both for gifts based on the wants of the recipient. There’s also an extensive range of hot chocolates and a good range of decaffeinated teas, very unusual. Service was excellent, especially when I left a bag of coffee behind and they knew who I was straight away when I called up and had it waiting for me the next day when I came back to collect it. Highly recommended.

Bustling cafe with local people. Really friendly staff and great quality good. Unbelievable value. Also dog friendly. We had hot pork baguette, quiche, chips and salad and two drinks- all less than £20

Popped in for lunch recently and we were very impressed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the cafe looks lovely and is very clean, and the food was amazing! Really pleased we found this place, we will definitely be back!

There’s an excellent range of chocolates here. You can have chocolates packaged in a variety of gift boxes or just by weight in a paper bag if they’re for personal scoffing. I tried a few I’d never seen before such as peanut and Florentine. My favourites were the orange and the passionfruit but there’s plenty to choose from! There are also bars of chocolate and other chocolate products. Great service. Recommended.

We had a great time here, really enjoyed the food. Service was fantastic and fun. I have to mention the Carbonara "wao"

In my opinion probably the best coffee house/restaurant in Kendal it’s a quick service staff are so welcoming and the food was a different level of amazing. Highly recommended for anyone In the Kendal area.
