Delicious Thai food with impeccable service. Don’t be fooled if the downstairs seating is empty, the upstairs is huge. Enjoyed the delicious set menu for two. There was so much food and it was really good quality. The service is incredible. Our drinks arrived within a minute of ordering and the starters soon afterwards.

This place is pure smoke and mirrors. Deeply mediocre food but presented in 'an exotic way' with the addition of carved vegetable adornments, to justify the pricetag. A tacky interior, and it's only once you are seated upstairs that you see the reality of the prices, by which time you may feel like you cannot just back out and leave. I ate a quarter of my simple veg noodle dish and could not continue as it felt that it had been bathed in raw egg yolk, and with a hint of some toxic herb. Veg wasn't cooked. It was hard. Even a simple slice of lemon on the side looked to be a couple of days old. How on earth could you get such a simple dish wrong? I grew up on this side of the planet and never tasted anything as bad as this. Bitterly regret not getting takeaway if could have found one... but then again what do you expect from this part of the UK? The area is probably a catchment area for the affluent greys/karens and garys and tourists.

Enjoyed a superb meal here with a group of work colleagues. Excellent friendly service and yummy Thai food.

Fantastic food service a real pleasurable experience

We drove 2 hours to dine but when we arrived it was closed with a note at the door that will reopen February but in Google is set as open.

Had the dog with us,so we sat outside. The owner made a big fuss of the dog & brought us some lovely drinks whilst we checked out the menu.Super friendly owner made us feel very welcome. We had duck spring rolls which were jam packed with tasty duck- best weve everhad to be honest..We then had massaman curry and red Thai curry really really tasty.I then tried saku for dessert and that was fabulous too. We were taking a weekend break but if we lived in Kendal we'd be here every week.When we next come ,this will be a definite stop off for a meal for us.

All was absolutely lovely friendly staff amazing food, clean good atmosphere. The only down side is drinks are very expensive pleased I only had 1 £15 for a G&T and over £8 for a coke which was watery.

They have extended the restaurant. Beautiful looking, but all the hard furnishings make it now a very noisy experience. It was almost impossible to o carry on a conversation.

This restaurant in Kendal is amazing. Wait until you go upstairs and see the size of the place. Amazing food and Spiced up if you like it hot. Look at the fabulous peppercorns. Delicious tasting food all round, a must do if you are visiting Kendal!!

Came here Sept 2024 with my family to celebrate a birthday. We live locally and this is our special occasion restaurant because it never disappoints. Fantastic attentive service, we always get a warm welcome. The food is of such high quality made with care and expertise, amazing flavours and worth the price tag in my opinion. Wonderful atmosphere no matter what night of the week. Highly recommend.

Beautiful decor and generous portions. There is a varied menu featuring some Thai dishes that we haven't seen outside of Thailand. We enjoyed a Pad Thai and. Chicken Stir-fry. We went on a Wednesday night in October and it was busy. We hadn't booked, but I would recommend booking for a weekend or if you were a larger group.

This was the first time we visited and will definitely be back, what an amazing place, busy but we did not feel rushed at all, staff are all friendly, helpful and all have a smile, then the food WOW perfect, beautiful presentation, perfect taste and amazing g price. Used the online booking facility and from start to finish we had a perfect experience.

A wonderful and exquisite dining experience set in fine surroundings, where staff were friendly and attentive. The only way to experience the culinary delights was by having the Special Set Menu. The taste, texture and flavours complemented each meal making it the best Thai meal I’ve ever had in the UK. The layout of the table and presentation of all the meals were amazing. It may have been slightly more expensive than expected but it was outstanding and we would not hesitate to eat here again.

Went with my husband for my birthday at the recommendation of family & friends & I wasn't disappointed The food was exceptional quality & the portions were good sized, the restaurant is beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean & the staff were attentive & friendly, the honeycomb cheesecake is to die for. So glad we chose this restaurant to dine - absolutely fabulous all round. Everything was A1, decor, staff, service and wow - the food was very tasty and the presentation was wonderful. Really hope to visit this restaurant again, soon. Since the above review, we have been to Bangkok 7 on three more occasions, and everything has equally as good.

A chance visit to Kendal at supper time and we instantly took a liking to the photos on Google maps. We were made to feel very welcome and were amazed how quickly after ordering the food arrived at our table. The food was beautiful and every mouthful a delight. Thank you.

We found this place purely by chance on a visit to the Lake District and boy are we glad that we did. From the outside it looks like a small restaurant on the ground floor. When you get taken to your table it a huge building with very nice fixtures and fittings. Comfortable chairs and a lovely atmosphere. Food was absolutely spot on. Sharing platter to start which was amazingly well put together and then on to the mains which were very authentic. When we’re next back in the area we will be sure to visit again.

Amazing food with huge portions I had chicken penang and was really yummy not to mention the Thai milk tea . You won’t be disappointed at all !

Wow! Right from the prawn cracker starters - the sweet chilli sauce was fantastic. The (Beef) Massaman Curry and Pham Med Mamuang (king prawn) were outstanding.

Nice place and amazing food, my family loved it.

I really enjoyed the food here. It’s not super authentic. But a green curry, rice and fish cakes I ordered were nicely cooked and well presented. They serve Thai beers and an ok range of wine. If your after super authentic Thai, this isn’t going to be the place. But it’s better than average and the staff were friendly.

My food was lukewarm, what a disappointment, along with the stratospheric cost of the experience. I won't be going back. Ever.

Totally delicious Thai food in a lovely, modern restaurant. Very well staffed who were appropriately attentive. I chose my two favourite Thai dishes - sweetcorn cakes and a vegetable green curry - neither could be faulted in any way. This restaurant is a must if visiting the Lakes.

We really enjoyed all of the food we got here. The menu is generous without being overwhelming and the dishes were well explained so we knew what we were ordering. The pad thai was delicious and we enjoyed trying the phad sam gler. The tempura was also really nice. The restaurant had a luxurious feel too

We were very lucky to be given a table, even though we had not booked and it was one of the best dining experiences that I have had in a very long time. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, so classy and tastefully decorated, it could be anywhere in the world. Every member of staff were friendly and professional, everything worked like clockwork. The food was perfection on a plate, I can not describe how truly beautiful it was. A large portion of perfectly presented, mouth watering food. On a Monday in Kendal there’s not a great deal of restaurant choices. But so pleased we went into Bangkok 7 which is a very large and attractive space upstairs and the food was really delicious. Good value as well. We may go again tomorrow! And we did, both of us chose different dishes. Food was delicious and restaurant buzzing and very busy.

Great for vegan/vegetarian food lovers. Amazing host, attentive service. Fried rice is outstanding, chillies add perfect spice. Highly recommended for flavorful, exciting dishes!

Unfortunately this restaurant uses over powering air fresheners in all areas. No need. The restaurant itself is lovely, great food and staff, just ruined by the smell that’s being pumped in…. Not healthy for anyone

We just found this amazing restaurant today by chance and I am so happy my husband spotted it. The food is absolutely irresistible. I love Thai food and ive had from many different places I'm all the years I stay in London and I have to say this is probably the best ive ever had. We all had different meals and they were all exceptional. You know food is good when you have to try not "hmm" with every bite. I'm honestly so impressed by the entire experience and will definitely be a returning customer.

Restaurant was absolutely rammed, and from the quality of the food, it was easy to see why. I had Moo Ping (lovely grilled pork skewers with a sweet sour sauce) and a chicken curry, which did knock my jocks off. Not cheap, but worth it.

Very expensive I was disappointed

Went for lunch and bill came to £72.00 for two. Couldn't believe they charged £5.95 for a half pint of Chang lager. Absolutely ridiculous will never return. Food ok but why waste good vegetables just for decoration, who eats raw turnip??

Lovely meal out here for lunch. Service was amazing, really friendly and attentive. Food came out really quick and was piping hot. Mixed Vegetable starter was really tasty. The Butterfly Pad Thai was really fresh with massive juicy prawns. My partner had the Penang curry and said it was the best he'd ever had - really creamy, with a bit of a kick. Will definitely be back again to try more dishes!

Good is very nice. Hard to choose between the two Thai restaurants in Kendal. Just make sure you're not sat by the door, freezing cold all evening every time someone comes in or out.

Visited on a Wednesday evening. Ordered the set menu for two people. Starters arrived promptly and were absolutely delicious. Set menu included three different mains to share and were excellent. The red curry was easily the best I've ever tasted. Price wise on the higher side however more the worth it, would definitely return.

Wow! Unbelievable. Such amazing food, so tasteful, absolutely amazing. I ordered the salt & pepper squid for starter which was just fantastic, then the chilli duckie for main with sticky rice which was unbelievable. Best Thai I have ever tasted personally. I will recommend to anybody who listens!! It is a must try, you won't regret it, it's phenomenal!!

Went here for valentines night. What fantastic food and so much of it to. Lots of choice on menu and staff were great ! Definitely book here if you are in the Kendal area you will not be disappointed…. 😀

From the moment you enter this place the scene is set for your Thai experience. The clean oriental styled restaurant and friendly staff set your expectations high and it doesn’t disappoint. We sat upstairs (which is vast) and were dealt with by attentive and enthusiastic staff. The menu is extensive with curry’s, stir fries, noodles/rice and sizzling plate options. All dishes selected were cooked well and the portion sizes are good. Four people having starters, main courses and alcoholic drinks averaged £42 ppp. What you waiting for.

By far, the best Thai food we have eaten. The service was impeccable and the decor was impressive. We will definitely visit again when in the area.

First time dining at Bangkok 7 tonight and absolutely loved it. We had the set menu for 2 because it was exactly what we planned to order plus somehing extra. Everything was tasty and we left feeling well fed We will certainly be back!

Having visited a few times Bancock7 is our favourite and in our opinion the best restaraunt in Kendal. We ate there with friends last monday, it was their first experience and they were blown away with the ambience, service and the food, this really is a hidden gem and one of the few places that I get genuinley excited about 10/10, superb in every way

음식도 맛있고 분위기도 너무 좋아요. 서비스는 좀 애매해요. 알러지가 조금 있어서 너트없는 음식이 있는지 물었을뿐인데, 공기중에도 땅콩이 날라다니니 애한테 안좋다면서 친절하게 말하지만 내쫓는 분위기 였어요. 한국인이라 인종차별인가?? 라는 생각이 들정도로 과도하게 거부하는 느낌.

I booked a table through dishcult for this restaurant and when we got there after having to wait 2 hours in Kendal for our table they said they had no reservation from me . I usually photographed every reservation but hadn’t done so this one time though it had been confirmed on the dishcukt site . I asked for their internet so I could check and they said they didn’t have internet !!! I am disabled and hobbled in on my walking sticks after parking my Mobilty scooter outside as there’s a step into the restaurant and it’s we found out that night it is not disability friendly . My partner wanted to go to this restaurant despite it having very little choices where vegan food is concerned . Once in the restaurant they said they could only fit us in at 8 when I’d booked the table for 6.30 . I will not be going there again . Places nowadays should be disability friendly also and therefore is being discriminatory towards disabled customers . Please do not book there anyone with a Mobilty issue . I am also extremely upset that they couldn’t find my reservation and seemed not to give a dam when I explained I had booked and it was difficult for me to get in their establishment in the first place . . Bad service all round .

We eat here for a midweek treat. Wow brilliant find and would highly recommend. Fantastic food with stunning presentation, lovely decor and great service. A must visit in kendal
