The best restaurants in Salford North West

**AVOID** By far the worst ‘restaurant’ we’ve been too. The staff were not welcoming at all, you’d think they would be as the place was completely empty, ordered starters which come with a complementary hair from the chef or waiter, no apology was given, the mains had arrived and the lamb was cold from the inside, advised staff of this and told him to touch the meat, he said no and he then took the plate to the kitchen and come back 2/3 minutes later advising the meat is warm and asked me to feel it, he had even shoved the plate in a vegetarians face and asked to feel the ‘warm’ lamb.

Two bad experiences in a row. Our last takeaway order we actually received was really disappointing. Instead of roast pork or char siu, the "pork" was Spam... Then we thought we'd try again tonight, and they rejected our order online.

i gave five star but honestly i never ordered. i took one look at the webpage and its red. everything is red. i cant even look at the page without it messing with my eyes. why is all the writing red. who likes red so much the decided too make the webpage red. that is stupid. its hard to look at and even harder too read

Got the fish deal and what a great choice. Fishes, chips, peas and sauces all cooked perfect. Staff are very friendly.

Don't bother trying to order online. You might get an email order confirmation but nothing arrives and if you try ringing the phone number it has a weird dialing tone and eventually cuts off

I went on Thur night for a meal with my girlfriend as had gone to the sports bar to watch the United game a few weeks ago and found it very relaxing with a nice crowd of people so I thought I would try the grill. While the staff were very friendly and polite the meals were bland and not well made.£19 for a small burger and some thin chips.(no coleslaw or salad).I know its a hotel so the money wasn't the issue but how hard is it to make a decent burger?? Even though it said it was a brioche roll it wasn't.Dry burger and pretty tasteless. My girlfriend had quinoa salad ,veg with chicken added.Again tasless,with 2 chicken fillets dumped on top. PS :£34- £37 for a steak.No one asked how the food was the entire time we were at the table.My girlfriend made a comment to the lady at the desk about the burger not being great and all we got was sorry to hear that. As a chef, if you can't make a basic burger then you need to change jobs.😡

We go to Lowries as a family every Saturday morning and have done for several years. The food has always been perfect and in all the time we have been there for breakfast we have never had a complaint. The staff are excellent, always very attentive, courtious and helpfull. We are a party of between six and ten people, usually with a couple of babies and or older children but we always feel they do their best to accommodate us with the seating arrangements. Once again the prices have gone up which I get but answer me this, why is it The Old Plough you pay £5.75 for a pint of Stella yet the SAM Brookes a mile away has happy hour 7 days a week including Stella at half price. Just because the plough is one of the few that keep The Hyde’s legacy going they feel it’s ok to put the prices up so high yet not offer the same happy hours as other outlets. The cross keys is another, as I’m sure there are more. Honestly if one price is good enough for one pub then it’s good enough for all of them. Remind yourselves of the pubs that keep The Hyde’s logo going and give a bit back to the customers in those establishments instead of pricing them out to drink elsewhere

The buy 1 get one free pizza would be good if the pizza tasted good...

I cannot fault the excellent food from the Gurkha Tandoori. The food is slightly different in taste to the traditional Indian takeaway but only because of small changes in the Nepalese way of cooking these dishes. Try it, I am sure you will like it.

Very disappointed with a price tag Of £110 per person and £55 for children the food was underwhelming with hard roast potatoes half a parsnip and half a carrot and I doubt the cabbage was cooked the chef needs some training

Not eaten here in a while because it went down hill but tonight I ordered and that was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time !! Absolutely stunning. Super cheesy and the tomato sauce seasoned well, hot. The delivery driver so lovely also very friendly ! Thankyou :)

I ordered chicken and paneer chilli as starters, I am sorry to say it was not at all worth. They just tossed chicken and paneer cubes in sweet chilli sauce, such a waste of money and time. Will not recommend this for starters at least.
