Booked in after a recent stay. Food was absolutely awful. £24 for a chicken breast, half a tomato and a very small portion of fries. Even the serving staff looked embarrassed even I asked if that was it? They smiled and apologetically nodded. Would not recommend it return. Service was however amazing

Chef loves pepper! Tomato soup, was more like pepper soup, steak over peppered. Peppercorn sauce….. 😅 Friendly staff though

Stayed at the Marriot Worsley Country Club so decided to give this restaurant a go for dinner… [Atmosphere] The atmosphere was lovely, like a subdued glow; not too busy and not too loud, perfect lighting and comfortable seats with lovely crockery to accompany. [Service] The waitresses were all lovely and polite to speak with and when serving. Service was fairly prompt. [Food] It was the food that was the let down; ultimately I came for the food, everything else is secondary - if the food doesn’t taste great then the atmosphere won’t be able to save the review no matter how nice it is. I ordered a King Prawn Linguine and whilst the prawns themselves tasted succulent, the rest of the dish was literally pasta mixed in with a tin of tomatoe paste(!) It lacked flavour, depth and form. The dessert however was lovely, a brilliant take on sticky toffee pudding and very nicely presented. I would be willing to give this place another go off of the back of the staff, service and dessert, but the main dish would definitely be different!

I’ve stayed at the hotel several times this year and have to say the restaurant is fantastic. The ribeye steak is absolutely superb, consistently excellent and the service is always exceptional.

We visited the Cast Iron last night, staff were super nice. Sadly the same couldn't be said for the food portion size. All ordered the same; braised beef pie, with truffle mashed potato and pureed red cabbage. The pie was delicious, however so very disappointed with the portion size! Expecting a nice portion of mashed potato- surprised to see it delicately piped on top of the pie. The pureed red cabbage was used to decorate the plate (chef style swirl) £22. Still hungry we ordered 2 portions of chips - very mean small portions! £5 each. More shocks with the bill - an additional £4.50 for an 'egg cup size' gravy!

Read many of the reviews and was slightly unsure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The food was lovely and tasty, I had the chicken liver parfait to start which was delicious, my steak was lovely and tender and the bearnaise sauce excellent. Service was great, a special thanks to Henry who was there whenever you needed him, well done to everyone a lovely meal and experience.

Visited for our 3rd time for the £25 Sunday lunch , first 2 times fantastic 10/10 all round food and service. 3rd time we got charged £30 For the Sunday lunch , when we questioned it we got told it was for the pianist . So a table of 6 all paid £5 each to listen to the pianist who had been there every other time we had been . It’s the principal of the matter really not the £5 extra that has put us off . The waitress informed us there was 200 sittings on that Sunday all paying an extra £5 …… that pianists must be rolling in it . Apparently we should have been informed of the extra charge when arriving but then don't advertise the Sunday lunch for £25 . It should be £30 ………

Recently moved to the area and wanted a fancy meal, thought the Cast Iron grill would of been good given it’s menu; marketing and the fact it’s in a Marriott hotel. The food was horrendous. Starters where extremely poor and looked/tasted cheap, the steaks for the mains where more like frying steaks - super thin and over cooked, I asked for medium but got very well done. We also ordered some roast vegetable as a side, but what arrived looked so designating that I asked them to remove it. Instead of fresh roast vegetables we were given something that looked like shredded stir fry with yogurt on top - it looked disgusting! I’ve added a picture to show. We were so upset with the meal we didn’t stay for dessert. The service on the other hand was great - lovely and attentive staff! They removed the veg off the bill and gave us 20% discount as we were so unhappy - however the bill still totalled over £80 , so it’s not a cheap meal to be unhappy with.

Very poor quality food. Rib eye was like a frying steak. Pork tomahawk was like a cheap pork chop. Very disappointing. Will not be going back even though we live around the corner

Just had a delicious meal here, we were served by Alison who was lovely! The only complaint would be that a service charge of 12.5% was automatically added to the bill not giving us a chance to leave a her a tip for the great service. Not put us off though and will be returning for further meals.

I would give 0/5 if it was possible. Horrible experience from start to finish. We were informed it was a carvery (on Sunday’s) then seated with no explanation of how the carvey service operated or anything. I later overheard the other waitresses asking customers if they wanted to see a wine list and alternative menus but we did not receive the same. After seated for a little while, a waitress asked if we wanted drinks from a small menu already on the table. These were quite limited but nevertheless I ordered a mocktail. This was ‘out of stock’ confusingly as they make the drinks at the bar next store which should be stocked for the hotel guests. The waitress seemed to have a slight attitude about ordering drinks which made me feel inclined to order a different drink I didn’t not really want. I therefore ordered another drink to which a different waitress gave the wrong drink - one I didn’t order. She had to be informed of this and went back again. We then had to ask if we could go to the carvey as we did not know what was going on. Found out the carvey has starters, mains and desserts. Items within all three are very hit and miss. Some items are delicious such as the carrots and chocolate mouse. But some were a big miss such as the roast potatoes which were drier than the soil they would have been grown on. I have ate at many restaurants with a similar price point and never has the food been so hit and miss. For the price point this is very disappointing. Lastly, before leaving we found wet/fresh chewing gum stuck onto the bottom of my handbag which has been under the table. Please note: this handbag had been in a gym locker previously which was CLEAN. We alerted the waitresses who were adamant it was not from the restaurant but nevertheless cleaned the handbag. The sticky reside of this disgusting gum had gotten on some of our clothes. When asking for assistance/wipes THE WAITRESS TOLD US TO DIP TISSUE ON THE TABLE INTO THE GLASS OF WATER TO CLEAN IT OFF, STATING THEY DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO CLEAN IT WITH. I think this staff member needs to be retrained. Thankfully, another random waitress gave us wet wipes. This was a terrible experience, I sincerely hope we were an isolated case for the sake of other customers.

It is a shame that my experience was so poor at Grill in the park as it is well decorated and situated in such a nice environment. Decor was nice, and some of the dishes were honestly tasty, but consistency was an issue. This patten also existed in the service from staff. As a coloured individual an unwelcoming presence was felt upon arrival. This was felt from not only some guests but also the working staff themselves. While some staff were kind and demonstrated good service, Heidi who was my server was absolutely appalling. Her attitude lacked courtesy and acted passive aggressive making my family feel uncomfortable and insulted. Considering the restruant's location of being in a marriot hotel was surprising. After this service experience I cant say I'd reccomend this restruant to any of my peers unless they have the right complextion.

Staying at the hotel at the moment , Had a set menu boxing night and can say it was pretty good and will eat here again whilst I’m here 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Yes its a bit expensive for some items , but it’s a upmarket hotel not a greasy spoon cafe , so expect to pay that extra bit 👍🏻👍🏻

Plenty of worry free parking and unlike the ECP car park it's free for customers of the pub only. But be careful because you have to go through the ECP car park to get to the pub car park. So ecp cameras time you going in to their car park and then coming back out again. Those cameras do not know that you have gone to the pub car park. So you could get a fine because you've not paid ECP who seems to assume your parking on their car park. Not the matchstick man car park free to its customers. If you do get fined go back to the pub and they will quash the fine for you. As long as you were parked as one of their customers.
