The best restaurants in Pendle North West

Booked a breakfast to re 9 of us and because of the size of the party had to pre order. Arrives and seated on time by friendly staff. Eventually got to us to take drinks order which then took an age to arrive. Considering they knew we were coming and what we were eating the food took an hour to arrive. The food was well below standard. English muffins not toasted before avocado put on and cold bacon. Dense, stodgy and horrible. The eggs were fine though. Scottish breakfast had clearly been left in the pass for some considerable time. Dry and tasteless, tattle scone so dry and haggis had no taste and was like sawdust. Bacon a shrivelled dry slice that broke up with a fork which made it difficult to eat. The taste was even worse so left it. All 9 of us were left disappointed. So I don’t recommend and I won’t be going back. Woeful.

Small yet clean place. Not much seating area but the food is good is fresh and tastes good. The external restaurant sign is still the old one “ taste of Italy” however the new name is “Aryan’s”. They should update it soon.

Great real ale pub full of character, nice staff and good value. Do pizza and burgers during the weekend.' Also live bands during the summer months.

Good food, friendly service. I recommend the homemade pie... my daughter reccomends the quich... food for all tastes. Ty

My daughter and I visited for lunch. What a find! The whole place was clean, the food was exceptional, the staff were incredibly welcoming and polite. The prices were amazing 👏. If you are going to Ava Rose to collect your wedding gown, then onto sew in love for your alterations, then this location is perfect. If you are planning a trip to Boundary Mill, again, it's perfectly located. Well done Dowdies for a fantastic lunch. We will definitely be back!

I always have a positive experience when I visit this fish and chip shop. The staff are always friendly and provide great service. The fish and chips are always delicious and well-prepared. I highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking for a tasty fish and chips and a pleasant dining experience.

Called in here for lunch on the way to a family holiday and it couldn’t have been a better start to the weekend, the food and service were excellent

Honestly, this is the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had. Everything was super tasty – the flavors were amazing, and you could tell it was all really fresh. The butter chicken was creamy and full of flavor, the biryani was spot on, and the naan was perfect. So good I didn’t want to share! Definitely ordering from here again.

Fantastic café with plenty of choice, excellent tea and cakes , comfy seating, friendly helpful staff. Nice decor and spotlessly clean throughout. Kid friendly and dog friendly.

Best curry I’ve had—hands down! Stayed in Barnoldswick for a few nights and decided to try a takeaway from here. Let me tell you, the butter chicken was unreal—so rich, flavorful, and ridiculously moreish. Paired it with egg fried rice and a cheesy keema naan, and every bite was pure heaven. It was so good I seriously debated ordering extra just to take home! Huge credit to the chef—absolutely nailed it. Plus, they’ve got a 5-star hygiene rating, which already puts them ahead of other Indian restaurants in the area. As a curry lover, I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and order from here. You won’t regret it!

takeaway if you can call it a take away... 0 stars all the way through... went in for special burger chilly and garlic on burger salt and vinegar in chips.... what did I get I got chilly and garlic on the burger and the chips no salt no vinegar and a foul smell of MINT. I rang up to see what's what and he tells me he puts mint sauce in his chilly... but if I take back he will make me another....who puts munt sauce in chilly sauce fgs. Took it back told him it's wrong and got excuses so asked for tomato sauce (instead of chilly ) and garlic ..... left the establishment thinking ok...but no get back to where I'm working and no G/mayo on burger with a small amount of ketchup that doesn't even taste of ketchup.... Oh chips cold and soggy too.
