I was very disappointed I ordered a very large fish when I come up to stay with my daughter I always use this chip shop in my eyes it's the best and tell the other night as I said I ordered a large fish and when I opened the box it was the smallest piece of fish for what I paid for I don't know if I had the right box but I was disappointed on the good it was a very nice piece of fish

Picked up 10 minutes ago and its all gone already. Possibly the best chippy I've had. Ordered for collection maybe an hour before hand, walked in and out within a minute or two. Fish was high quality with a great crispy batter and the chips were cooked perfectly! 🤌

Used this chippy before and been happy but not tonight ,very very dry fish and soggy battered,not happy at all and will not be back.

Always good service, lovely fish, fish bites chips and mushy peas.

Was told this place was good, and after a 20 mile drive, was able to eat the BEST fish and chips I've had in a LONG time. Better and CHEAPER than my local 100mtrs away. Will definitely be coming back

Drove 20 miles after being told this is a great "chippie", and WOW, was it worth it! My local is 100mtrs from my home, and the comparison is huge. Albert Road Fisheries are 100% better and a LOT cheaper! Will be visiting again.....SOON

Delicious fish and chips every time.

Expensive and therefore thought it would be good. Had been warned but wanted to try it for myself. Soggy tastless fish without any salt and vinegar, despite asking specifically. Won't be going back

Had fish and chips with mushy peas of course! Some of the best fish and chips I have tasted. The mushy peas were great as well. Well done. Would highly recommend.

Proper decent little chippy. THE best chips, peas & scraps we’ve had for a very long time. Great service, great prices. Sit in if you like. 🙂 Lancashires always best! Only grumble is that they have squid 🦑 on the menu too - one of the most intelligent animals on the planet - we don’t need to eat them.

Friendly staff and lovely food, the prices were very reasonable as well. The opening hours were quite short some evenings, just something to keep in mind if you want to get fish & chips from here!

I've finally found a chippy worth going back to, it's the best chippy I've had in 10 years. The sausage was full of flavour and with a light and crispy batter. I score the fish an 8/10 only because the fish batter holds on to a little too much oil for my liking...but my second visit there I asked the fish to be lightly battered and I give that a 9/10 Staff are friendly, polite and professional, sitting area was nice and clean too. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a damn good traditional chippy 🤙

Best fish and chips for miles..

Whilst visiting we came here for take out fish and chips. What a find too, clean place, pleasant staff and the best fish and chips I've had in ages... Topped off by eating then outside on the benches in the sunshine. It's left us with a lovely memory. Great place to go.

Just been to the shop at 5.50 and it was closed! Sign on the door says 6pm. Staff were mopping up inside. I'm now sat here with 5 hungry people. Thanks for nothing!

Good chips and fish, pleasant staff, but longish queues on account of popularity. Avoid Friday nights. There'll literally be 30 people ahead of you in the queue.

Called after reading reviews and not disappointed. I had fish , chips and peas and everything was excellent. The fish was a delight,well cooked, lovely white fish and a crisp batter. Chips chunky,dry and no sign of fat on anything. Peas good and a large portion. I ate inside as they have a few tables,. The shop is spotlessly clean and staff friendly. Just would have preferred to have had meal on a plate rather than disposable carton, but doesn't detract from the food.

My grandchild (sandra) introduced me to this place, and I can safely say that it is by far THE best chippy I have ever had in my 68 years of living. everything is fresh and cooked to absolute perfection. you could not find better chips anywhere. keep up the good work guys, whatever you're staff are getting paid it deserves to be doubled!! outstanding service, nothing was ever an issue and they had extremely good knowledge of their produce and where it is sourced from. I will be returning when I am next in the area. many thanks Richard

The Fish & Chips that I purchased from Albert Road Fisheries, like always, is perfectly cooked, the batter on the fish is so tasty & brings out the flavour of the fish, the chips are perfectly cut/cooked, the peas add to the meal, the price you pay is just right & the service can't be faulted in any way!

Found this shop whilst on holiday. The food was great.

Great food really but I would have given five stars, a raving review and a constant custom if it wasn't for the older woman on the till with glasses. She was really really rude. I was there with my sister who had just was in utter bereavement over a family member. I tried to ease the pain with a humble fish supper and was met with a horrible attitude. I asked if they were open and was met with silence then an awkward and frankly embarrassed "yes" by the younger lass. I wont be coming again and I definitely will not recommend it to anyone.

Used to be a nice place but now if you cant wear a mask for medical reasons or a disability they will try to bully you to stand outside in the cold like a second class citizen on the naughty step while they prepare your food. Shameful. If you are capable of withstanding the mask without fainting you ARE allowed to stand and wait indoors. This is active discrimination in place here which is breaking anti-discrimination laws.. Manager doesn't care and thinks the law prohibiting discrimination doesn't apply to him.

Went in twice - great chips, just the type we were hoping for. You have to ask for a fork..

Fish, chips and peas are amazing, and served by lovely friendly people. Very covid aware. If they offered an additional, spicier, curry option this would make it perfect.

Is this the best Chippy in the whole wide world - I think so .... I regularly eat at this chip shop and occasionally drive miles , just to have my Friday lunch there . If I lived in barlick , I think id be there everyday . All the best Ian ( barrowford ).

Fantastic, just what we needed!!

Called last Saturday and the fish and chips were delicious, even better than I remembered, or was it due to not having eaten fish and chips for several months! Called in again today just to double check... I can confirm that the fish, chips and peas here are absolutely delicious.

The best fish and chip shop in the area. Excellent quality food at a reasonable price. There are also a few tables to sit in.

The steak puddings are excellent with proper steak and no kidney in sight! I got mushy peas with my pudding,chips and gravy and found it to be very stodgy with not enough gravy. Next time I'll get seperate tubs and put my own on. The woman who served me was quite abrupt but maybe that's just her manner. Worth a visit

We eat here quite often although we don"t live in Barnolswick. The fish & chips are the best you can get anywhere & with friendly, helpful staff to go with it what more could you ask for. The people who live locally are so lucky to have such an excellent place to either eat in or take away.

I really enjoyed my fish and chips from here on several occasions so it was not a one off they have a few tables so u can sit down inside x
