Very disappointed in the food today. The lunchtime special had run out by 12.17, which often happens. Why not make more? The hot chicken sandwich I had was really dry and just had crisps for garnish, instead of a bit of salad or coleslaw to moisten the dish. Very unappealing. Same with the cheese and ham toasty - dry crisps instead of moist garnish. Used to really like this little cafe but wonāt be going back in a hurry!

We came for a walk down the canal after finding this place on google maps. Decided to pop in for some lunch, got a window seat next to the canal in the sunshine Very nice staff and lovely fairy lights and flowers, nicely decorated Plenty of space to park next to the restaurant Some seating outside

I came across Slaters when looking at a map of the area. I've never been to this part of Nelson before, but having looked at their Facebook page and seeing their ice creams my mind was easily made up. We went just after 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon and had a regular vanilla ice cream cone and a large cookies and cream and battenburg ice cream cone (2 flavours on one cone). The flavours were amazing and we would definitely return to try more.

I visited with friends on a Tuesday lunchtimeā¦.the place was rammed so they must be doing something right. We picked off the lunch and breakfast menu. I had lamb kofta flatbread and it was delicious! Bread not too doughy, plenty of toppings, fabulous lamb and a creamy spicy sauce. Would return just for that alone. Coffee was good too. Dogs are welcome.

My friend and I checked this cafe out after being on a hike. Was greeted by a lovely young lady who made us feel welcome. Had browse through the menu and ordered toasties each and a cappuccino and a mocha. Food came on time well presented and the coffee was hot. My friend who has worked in catering was impressed and let me tell you she is not easily impressed and has been known to send food back and make complaints. 10 out of 10 is all we can sayššš

We almost drove past after seeing the sign shortly before on the A59, but we were really glad we didnāt. The chai tea is made by a woman of Punjabi heritage and is freshly made & perfect. Sweet & aromatic. The menu is basically British but with a few Punjabi tastes thrown in and itās worth giving them a try, although the British food is excellent as well. We sat in the rear garden in the sun & we couldāve stayed all afternoon.

Amazing cafe, personal faves are the shakshuka and home made brownies! The kids love reading a book whilst waiting from the book stand. We love to go at least once a monthš„°

Best place for breakfast and dinner in town or surrounding area .. eat in or take out .. it is very cheap .. and so clean .. never find a spot of grease on your plate when getting full breakfast .. I love this about the place .. if you have never been you definitely should . I guarantee you'll never go anywhere else again šÆ
