We can't give stars for food because when it eventually did come (after a 20 minute wait at the able to even get served with a drink and asking what we food we would like to order) it was given to another table. Dreadful service from start to finish. Complete lack of care. Certainly would not recommend.

Breakfast was horrible sasauge tasteless bacon hard and smoked eggs not runny could tell was on side under a heat light won't go again

First time here for lunch, nice atmosphere and friendly staff, would go again definitely.

My nephew and I were looking for a lunch venue on a roadtrip, we found Tubbs bar/restaurant through Google. Fantastic find! I use a walking frame, there are steps to the door, but they're long and shallow, and the staff were very helpful. The seating area was comfortable, bright and appealing. The tables were well-spaced and I had no trouble getting around. The menu had plenty of choice and we weren't rushed in making our selection. Our food was excellent, fresh and delicious. We had wraps and sides, but we'll be going back to try the full dinner menu! This is an attractive, well-planned space, with friendly, helpful and well-informed staff and exceptional food. Highly recommended.

Recently had a Christmas buffet here with a group of friends, the food was very nice and the place is lovely.

First time visiting and we went for a work/not work Christmas do. One of the others who attended had booked the table and the festive buffet. Oh boy was the food good! There was so much of the food aswell that we could have easily fed another 5 people. So much so a lot of us took boxes home stuffed full of the food! Drinks were great if a little pricey and the atmosphere was Brill.

My wife and I came from Liverpool to visit our daughter in Colne and visited on Tuesday. The prices are a little bit expensive but I have to say the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and professional also the restaurant was nice and cosy as it was very cold outside. We would certainly visit again.

Been several times now & always good. Selection of good beer (today Hen Harrier) & interesting menu well presented. A nice treat place to visit.

I regularly come here and I love it. It's great to have just a drink and I particularly enjoy coming for breakfast. I use it a lot for work meetings too and it's a great. Highly reccomend the tubbs sausage muffin for breakfast and their fresh orange juice.

We both had the full English breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We have been to Tub’s about 5 times now, and always we leave with mixed feelings. One thing is constant though, at any a time when the weather is cold, then Tub’s is so cold we keep our coats on. Our last visit was again so cold, despite dressing in warm clothing we kept our coats on. I spoke to a young lady and she said she would turn the heating on, but the radiators across from us was cold throughout our stay, and there is a back door that is used by staff that was constantly opening and closing making matters worse, a heater above that door would make a huge difference there. I later commented to another staff member re the cold, and was told they had remarked how cold it was when they came to work and were told it’ll be ok when more people come in, so that’s how the place in heated then, body warmth? We ordered a bottle of wine, and we were told it was not at the correct temperature, so we were given a lovely glass of Sauvignon blanc gratis as we waited for the bottle to cool. We ordered our food, battered prawns for him and soup for me, followed by rump steak and frites, and the Porcus Pizza for myself. I asked that my pizza was well done, it’s always the way I have pizza. The soup was wonderful, I was slightly surprised it was accompanied by thinly sliced bread and butter so cold it was solid, and the prawns my husband had were more batter than prawn. My pizza arrived pale and slightly doughy, even my daughter remarked it looked pale when I sent her a picture, though it was nice enough. The rump steak was cooked are requested, medium but had been so well rested that it was only lukewarm, though the frites were lovely and hot and crisp. However, because we were so cold, we decided to get the bill and order a taxi home. The staff member who delivered the bill asked us how things had been for us, and I did tell her about the prawns and the pizza, and again reiterated that were were very cold. I cannot fault the staff, they are pleasant and friendly, but it really is that last time we will visit Tub’s as the main dining area is a large room with very high ceiling but it seems the proprietor is not keen to heat it, as every time we have been in the colder seasons, we have been freezing.

3 of us visited today after I found it on Google we had been to boundary mill and I for one needed food and a beverage. Good menu selection along with specials and a good drinks menu also. I had a pint on bread and butter something or other very nice. Food wise I had the burger with the extra bacon and cheese because why wouldn't you. The wife had a BLT and we both asked for garlic mayo for our chips. Food was very good served with a smile and all hot the mayo more like a homemade alioli very nice but defo for the garlic lover. Mother in law had a courgette and thyme soup, all well presented. I finished with a black coffee which I have to say was one of the best I've had in a restaurant bar ever. Hot and strong in a good sized cup (not a bowl, I hate those things coffee goes cold way too quickly) So if your in the area give it a go friendly smiling staff great food and drink in nice surroundings.

Two key points of any amazing restaurant is: great choice of food and great staff. This place has got both!! We will definitely be returning! Tubs of Colne is a must visit!

First time visiting Tubbs last night and I was really impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. Was so tasty and came out near enough straight away. Service was excellent, well done to the waitresses at Tubbs! I’ll be back

Had a lovely meal. Everything tasted so fresh, and the tempura batter was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, however Tommy really went out of his way and was the life and soul of the place.

Very friendly staff that were very warm and welcoming and an absolutely incredible starter followed by an equally incredible meal and topped with an amazing desert. One of the best places I have ever eaten out at.

What a hidden gem 💎 Food - absolutely delicious. We had the spicy pizza and peri chips. Homemade quality food. Service - the manager and his staff are so polite and helpful. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area as we are not local to Colne. Thanks so much.

Very noisy at left hand side so difficult to hear what friends were saying but the food and service were very good with a good choice to suit all.

We went here this morning for breakfast and it was absolutely superb. Really friendly and professional service service and the food was delicious and plentiful- we could tell they use top quality products. It might appear a little pricey at first but you definitely get what you pay for and once the food arrived we knew it was worth every penny. The cakes in the shop next door (part of the same business) also looked lovely so will definitely be going back! Would highly recommend.

Visited here with family members after a morning spent bridal dress shopping. We all had sandwiches and wraps for our lunch and they were really nice & filling. The customer service was amazing, the staff were so friendly & attentive. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Group of 20 of us had a fantastic meal last night. From start to finish everything was so easy making sure we just enjoyed our night. We did pre order (with options off special menu), and the food came out with perfect timing and no long waits amongst the group (which you often get when you’re in a large group - but not at Tubbs!). The food was absolutely delicious, and service was second to none, they really are a great team down there, and special shout out to Ollie, who ensured that every need was catered for, and that the night was just perfect!

Excellent afternoon/evening at Tubbs. A surprise meal for my nephews 40th. There was 23 of us and all the food came together and lovely and hot, the staff worked there socks off to get everything done on time and the service was second to non. From when we booked to when we left it was just simply great. Olly and Emily a big thankyou for looking after us your service was excellent. Would highly recommend for any function or group event nothing was to much trouble, thanks again from us all xx

The staff were very friendly and attentive and it was obvious that they enjoyed working at Tubbs. The food was delicious- we chose a selection from the tapas menu and couldn't fault it.

I have visited Tubbs on numerous occasions and been pleased with food and staff, however on Friday 24th march I visited with my family celebrating my son's birthday, I had prebooked for a party of 9, on arrival we were seated at a table that should have comfortably seated 4 at a push maybe 6 people, there was no room to have drinks on the table when the food arrived, the starters were good but the main course was very poor, the £28 ribeye steak was shocking, over seasoned poorly cooked and most of it was left on the plate, the prawn screwier was just prawns on a pile of greens with sauce over it, the chicken was tasteless and chewy, all the food was served on cold plates so it went cold very quickly. After spending over £350.00 I was told I could not be given a receipt. One was emailed but with no breakdown of costs etc. I will not be returning

We were at a birthday celebration and what a good choice of venue. Buffet provided was top notch and the service and atmosphere made it a very happy occasion. Definitely worth considering for a celebration.

When you're selling food at a premium price you don't expect cutlery to be dumped in a pile. We are not in COVID times. Sort out your service levels.

I rang the venue re a table for breakfast come down no problem they said. Seated immediately offered drinks. I had a full breakfast which was served fast and hot The young man who served us was smart polite and attentive Summary amazing food service and venue.

Absolutely beautiful food, we've only been twice once for lunch and the other for breakfast. My husband both times had the pancakes and bacon with maple syrup, I had the cheese on toast with ham hock and one of the specials for lunch. Such a nice place to go, very friendly staff both times. Would highly recommend. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The price is for 4 adults 1 child.

Was in Colne, googled for a good breakfast and decided on Tubbs. Picture on here of breakfast wasn't anything like it, though was tasty but much smaller and poached egg was hard. At £11 without a brew quite expensive. I requested sourdough toast instead of normal but was told it would be even more expensive so stuck with standard. Coffee was very good. Service was good also.

The menu hosts a range of modern European cuisine and some Asian influenced dishes. The food is all very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Staff are spectacular and go the extra mile to help customers.

Pleasant restaurant in Colne. I had lunch here with a friend. The menu is eclectic. My ham hock starter, served with toast and a poached egg, was beautifully tender and tasty. The Indian kebab (sic) featured a large and well cooked piece of chicken on flat bread, together with some salad. The plum crumble for dessert was made from local produce and was gorgeous. The accompanying custard could have been slightly less sweet for my taste. The wine list is also eclectic. I chose a bottle of Sicilian red, which was very good and at a good price. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is friendly and informed. Just under £100 for two for three courses and wine represents decent value for money given the quality.

Visited Saturday night, in middle of Colne blues weekend. Good atmosphere, great service, especially considering the number of people in the place. Food was good, but loses a star because I think it's a bit overpriced.

Visited on two separate occasions once for breakfast and secondly for evening drinks! Both times didn’t disappoint very friendly staff and great services. I love the tall booths for intimate privacy between each party
