Dowdies Café Bistro in Pendle

My daughter and I visited for lunch. What a find! The whole place was clean, the food was exceptional, the staff were incredibly welcoming and polite. The prices were amazing 👏. If you are going to Ava Rose to collect your wedding gown, then onto sew in love for your alterations, then this location is perfect. If you are planning a trip to Boundary Mill, again, it's perfectly located. Well done Dowdies for a fantastic lunch. We will definitely be back!

3rd visit since the owners relocated here from arcade and although service was better, the food is just average, cheap & cheerful produce and being a coffee snob unfortunately the coffee was awful not quality freshly ground beans, I would rather pay more for decent fresh coffee and produce! Not for me and there are establishments that do a better class of food further down the block and as I live near I would rather stay home and have better quality food or pay extra and have a better experience and ambiance ! TBH sorry guys.

Just a great, welcoming experience. i just popped in for a bite to eat . The welcome and service was excellent both from the chap that I believe is the owner and the lady who was serving. Service was quick and my only problem was what to choose from a fab selection. On reflection I'm glad I wasn't swayed by the "Mega breakfast" because my Egg, chips and beans was Huge.... A nice big fresh orange was delicious and the bill was much the same as it would have been for a Maccy-dee, without the portion size, cheery chat and smiles (mine included). Friendly, tasty, and loads of scran...what more could I ask for. Well done , and I'll be back soon.

Me the wife and are little sausage dog went here few other day. Sat outside, wife got an omelette with chips and salad i got sausage teacake and a coffee very nice They do open at night as well Wednesday to sunday i think You can go for a beer or cocktail Nice staff and the owner is a good man as well The place is where the green chimney use to be We will be back
