We arrived on time and the restaurant was packed! When we give our order we was told they are slightly behind and there will be 30 mins waiting time, this isn’t a problem when your informed. We ordered full English breakfast, full Scottish breakfast, and egg on toast, and bacon sandwich. All was good no complaints from us short wait we was informed earlier. Staff worked hard and very pleasant. Dogs friendly with plenty of parking.

Booked a breakfast to re 9 of us and because of the size of the party had to pre order. Arrives and seated on time by friendly staff. Eventually got to us to take drinks order which then took an age to arrive. Considering they knew we were coming and what we were eating the food took an hour to arrive. The food was well below standard. English muffins not toasted before avocado put on and cold bacon. Dense, stodgy and horrible. The eggs were fine though. Scottish breakfast had clearly been left in the pass for some considerable time. Dry and tasteless, tattle scone so dry and haggis had no taste and was like sawdust. Bacon a shrivelled dry slice that broke up with a fork which made it difficult to eat. The taste was even worse so left it. All 9 of us were left disappointed. So I don’t recommend and I won’t be going back. Woeful.

Wonderful Scottish and English breakfast. Quite a long wait for food (we were warned about this as we were seated) but we hadn't booked so were grateful that they could accommodate us at all. The restaurant was packed! The food arrived well cooked, hot and tasty! We left very happy! Have already recommended it to others and know we will return. Great atmosphere, quality food and friendly staff.

Regulars for breakfast and always delighted with what we have. We have tried their cakes many times but just tried their mince pies. Wow, beautiful crumbly pastry and packed with delicious mince filling. Thank you Joyce you are our star baker.

I hosted a baby shower here today and it was just fabulous, we opted for an afternoon tea for 12, it was all lovely. The team were so welcoming and helpful during setup, set down and throughout the event! They dressed the room beautifully to match our theme and included themed cupcakes too! We had a member of the party in a wheelchair with limited mobility and found the venue super accessible. Natasha was absolutely smashing and couldn't do enough for us. 10/10 would recommend!!

Very nice location with a great senic view. The breakfast served is varied and includes a full Scottish breakfast. Food is exerlent as are main courses. I've been going to Hamish's since it opened several years ago. Staff are fantastic and nothing is to much trouble. I usually go at least once a week for breakfast or a main meal durring the day.

Sunday lunchtime visit for my husband’s birthday so I thought that we would have a ride out to Hamish’s,I ordered from the 3 course set menu, and my other family members ordered from the main menu. The prawn cocktail starter was lovely and lots of prawns,my husband’s Liver was good and so was the burgers,I ordered Scampi but the waitress brought me sausage & mash???? Apparently they had been giving the wrong set menus out,I don’t know how that makes a difference as I ordered scampi off the set menu which is also on the main menu, really do not know how they had got that so wrong, all I got was sorry about that,so I sat there with no food for ten minutes whilst my husband & my son ate there’s,not good enough really & spoilt our Sunday lunch out,by the time my food arrived my husband had finished his meal,we asked for the pudding and I was asked what I would like that served with to which I replied cream, then 5 mins later we were asked again what we would like the sticky toffee pudding served with, poor communication and service today, and you would of thought that management would of made an effort at the end of our meal to apologise for the mistake made with bringing me the wrong main course then having to sit there for 10mins with no food, whilst my other family members were eating. The food was very good, and the staff are pleasant and friendly, but just poor service and communication errors spoilt it,we would of ordered more drinks and sat outside in the sunshine but after a disappointing visit we decided to go somewhere else.

Visited for brunch/breakfast with friends who were visiting for the weekend and had made a reservation. We were shown to our table on arrival and our orders taken promptly. Unfortunately it took just short of an hour for any food to appear and we were told that they had no chef and the manager was cooking. The food was good when it did arrive but it spoilt the experience especially as our friends had a long drive home ahead of them

I have been going to the Craven Heifer in Kelbrook for many years mostly for lunch but also to stay the night on a few occasions. It is definitely one of the best places I have eaten at and also stayed. The food is excellent as is the service. The rooms (especially in the lodges) are spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. I last visited on 26th February and it was as excellent as ever. Special mention to Gemma for her kindness.

What a brilliant time yesterday lunchtime at The Cabin after our walk up Pendle Hill : a lovely wee coffee & food stop. Lovely food, excellent coffee and really friendly staff. A great experience which topped off our morning perfectly. We highly recommend the steak and ale pie and peas and the Lancashire rarebit. Really tasty home made food at very reasonable prices. Thank you everyone at The Cabin :)

First visit for a while and wasn't that hungry so we had starters. I got the Pork pie with pickle and chutney. Big mistake. The pork pie was fine but the chutney, well that's a different story. It was that overpowering, my eyes were watering and my nose was running. Sorry, but it spoilt the dish. I downed most of my pint but that still didn't chill my mouth. The wife had chicken strips, which she enjoyed and the bowl of sea salt fries was high, but nice thin fries.

Visited in late October on a lovely sunny day which really painted this pubs beautiful location in a perfect light. We are from the Midlands visiting family who are local and we all received a lovely warm welcome. The pub is lovingly decorated with great views over the local countryside. The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. The food itself was plentiful, tasty and well presented. Additional top marks to the owner who went the extra mile to look after a member of our party who unfortunately was taken suddenly unwell, thank you. We will definitely visit again when back in the area.
