Not quite "The Slaughtered Lamb" but close enough. No atmosphere, no good and a limited selection of real ales despite it being promoted as a real ale pub. View of the waterside is obscured by industrial units. Cannot see any reason to make the trip out of the centre for such an average pub.

Went 5here today with two friends. Super helpful staff so lovely and friendly. Beer is top class...wide range of cask ales...favourite was springwell from gooseeye brewery in Bingley. Extensive outside areas with plenty of shade is needed. Tends to get overlooked as a bot detached from Colne town centre...but only £2 by Delta Taxis back up t’hill. What’s not to like?

Just relocating to the area and decided check out some local pubs, the pub which is located just off the one way system down a very steep hill just by the river. Very smart looking old style pub with plenty of seating outside, large roomy bars lots of seating, lovely artwork on the walls and a welcoming log fire on the go! I arrived just before opening time but was still greeted by a friendly traditional landlord who supplied me with an excellent pint of real ale. Worth the steep climb home i will definitely be returning!

I visited here with a friend and after numerous visits over the last year or so, the place seems to going downhill a little. We had the same rounds of 3 different pints, yet we had issues on 2 of the 3 rounds. On the first round my friend had to take his back as it tasted completely different to mine and I had the same issue on the last, which is completely buzzard. Also, the number of darker beers has gone down, compared with the past visits I have made. I really hope it was just a bad visit, but unfortunately the feedback of other people who have visited seems to indicate a common theme. It is a fantastic venue though, so I really hope it improves on my next visit!

We enjoy the choices of lager and beers, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very good. It's a dog friendly pub and the log fires are very welcoming in the winter months, we have never had a bad pint here.

Had a wander down to the Rodney from the Main Street of Colne. This is a very traditional pub down the back of the Police station, good ale, good staff, and a nice atmosphere. Would recommend a visit to this proper pub!!

This is a lovely characterful pub especially for this part of Lancashire - both inside and out. We stopped here after a day's walking on the Pendle Way and sat outside in the early evening sun enjoying a fantastically tasty pint and watching the world pass by. The choice of beers on offer is as generous as the price is reasonable - go hear and enjoy yourself ! TIP : Ask the barman for a recommendation - but don't be disappointed if he suggests more than one !

I just called in for a "swift one" and wish I had had more time. Lots of real ales to choose from. Should be something to suit most people's taste. Will definitely be going back to do the place justice.

Great atmosphere, 9 choices of real ales which change regularly, a wide variety of other drinks to choose from, with quirky customers and lovely young bar staff who are always keen to help. Everyone who goes in are lovely, serves food on Sunday's I believe, and bands every Friday. Very welcoming, easy to socialise, the land lord warmly welcomes all. There's always something going on, everyone feels involved.

Quant pub on the edge of town so it doesn't tend to attract idiots. Serves a selection of real ale and often hosts live music. Friendly crowd and staff.

This fantastic pub in the bottom valley of Colne is getting better, they serve fantastic real ales all kept in great condition and now served traditional pub food at weekends such as Sunday lunch and real Chip butty sand homemade pies etc! And to top all that have live bands on Regular ! The new outdoor seating area is great for sitting and watching the world go by and it's very peaceful and tranquil due to the fact it's just out of the town centre don't miss out when visiting Colne pop in and find a warm welcome by Mark and Brian!
