We both visited here and were really pleased with food and service. They gave us additional items such as dips salad and breads and explained they were complimentary. Also they served a complimentary Turkish tea. Very impressed overall.
Ordered a wrap and beer at the bar and was charged £14.50, turns out I was charged for 2 beers. Lady at the bar called over the manager who said he was giving me a refund. No refund was received and not only that - my food never turned up!
After everyone else in the party received their food, we alerted the waitress and was told that I never ordered the food, even though I had proof on my phone of the purchase and I had a beer in my hand. Both waitress and manager were extremely rude and I was told I could not have my money back for the food or drink as it was not registered on their system. An absolute scam and will never return. Do not go here.
Always pop into this place on my lunch break, the staff are always so lovely and chatty and the food is great, not to mention at a brilliant price! Really recommend
Servicio amable y buenas bebidas.
Desafortunadamente, éramos las únicas personas allí y no había atmósfera.
Buena selección de bebidas bien presentadas.
Visited DPD for early brunch 2 x in a month recently. We last visited quite a few years ago, so it was nice to return. One of the benefits is it’s open around 11 am, so it's very convenient if you are looking for a bite before other eateries open at 12. Visiting early also means you’re guaranteed a seat at the busy food court!
We ordered our usual - the chicken udon set, which comes with a piece of spare rib and a spring roll, as well as a drink. The udon dish is one of the few dishes which they cook to order, so it’s not like the other dishes which might have been sitting in the bain marie for some time.
We asked for the ribs to be replaced with salt and pepper chicken wings, which was no issue. Prices have definitely climbed through the years, but wasn’t bad value for £8.70, considering the noodles were freshly cooked.
The food was served in paper containers, and wooden cutlery was provided. I believe these replaced the styrofoam boxes and plastic cutlery from previous visits, so that’s better for the environment.
The noodles were piping hot and a generous amount, with a decent amount of chicken. The spring rolls were nice and crisp and didn’t taste like the shop bought variety. The salt and pepper wings weren’t too bad.
We also tried the curry chips for £3.00 which was a small portion, but tasty, with a generous portion of curry sauce. The sauce didn’t really taste spicy till we were having it on its own, without the chips.
Overall, DPD is a nice place to dine if you’re looking to fill your tummy without paying over the odds. Check them out for decent Chinese food at the Arndale!
Ordered a vodka with lime cordial and received a vodka with lime (not cordial). Told they don't have 'negroni' and given a Gin Mare with regular tonic and no garnish - when asked for rosemary received two raspberries!! Despite it being a drink on their own menu. I'm a happy go lucky chap so not too bothered, but don't come here if you're expecting anything standard, let alone special.

Today got jalabi and hanshi halwa.
Jalabi tasted like sweet fish batter. It was thick as a finger, just about dipped in the sweet fluid and taste HORRIBLE.
The Habshi Halwa, do not remotely taste like the original ones. It was oily sweet plum of something.
