Wings Noodle & Sushi Bar in Manchester

Visited DPD for early brunch 2 x in a month recently. We last visited quite a few years ago, so it was nice to return. One of the benefits is it’s open around 11 am, so it's very convenient if you are looking for a bite before other eateries open at 12. Visiting early also means you’re guaranteed a seat at the busy food court! We ordered our usual - the chicken udon set, which comes with a piece of spare rib and a spring roll, as well as a drink. The udon dish is one of the few dishes which they cook to order, so it’s not like the other dishes which might have been sitting in the bain marie for some time. We asked for the ribs to be replaced with salt and pepper chicken wings, which was no issue. Prices have definitely climbed through the years, but wasn’t bad value for £8.70, considering the noodles were freshly cooked. The food was served in paper containers, and wooden cutlery was provided. I believe these replaced the styrofoam boxes and plastic cutlery from previous visits, so that’s better for the environment. The noodles were piping hot and a generous amount, with a decent amount of chicken. The spring rolls were nice and crisp and didn’t taste like the shop bought variety. The salt and pepper wings weren’t too bad. We also tried the curry chips for £3.00 which was a small portion, but tasty, with a generous portion of curry sauce. The sauce didn’t really taste spicy till we were having it on its own, without the chips. Overall, DPD is a nice place to dine if you’re looking to fill your tummy without paying over the odds. Check them out for decent Chinese food at the Arndale!

We came here for a quick bite to eat on a Saturday afternoon. The ordering process is crazy, there was people everywhere and no order in who got served first. We waited about 10 mins for our food with loads of others getting served before us (even for the same food). When we finally got served the food was OK, bit the meat was definitely cheap meat. It never had a quality taste to it which for the price (about £26 for 4 dishes of noodles) I would have expected. The seating arrangement is first come first serve with people waiting to pounce and watching you eat to see how close you are to leaving. The ordering is crazy, the food is ok, the setting is awful and it's expensive for the quality. It was lucky to get 3 stars really

Well at first everything was fine. Food was warm but had clearly been there since the morning as it had the texture of clumpy gravy but we didn’t mind because it was a quick bite and it tasted ok. Little did we know that after our lovely day we would come back home to suddenly be fighting over the toilet to SH*T and throw up AT THE SAME TIME. After that the stomach cramps started and that’s when we realised we undoubtedly had food poisoning. So I definitely would not recommend. Not to mention the awful customer service from the lady on the till. Awful place.

We usually come here when we fancy a quick bite of Chinese food. Always enjoyable - good quality and reasonable prices.

Wanted to order a chicken curry with noddles witch costs £5.90 , but i asked the lady to put the noddles in a different box because i wanted to feed my baby. Lady said will costs you extra like £7.90 So she was charging £2 more just for a box? Very bad customer service , not going again even though i was a regular customer going at least once in a week there .

Found myself in the arndale centre on a busy lunchtime this weekend on a city break to Manchester. Couldn’t decide what to have but was quickly drawn in by the appetising menu here at Wings at the arndale food market! Went for my usual dish I have everywhere, sweet and sour chicken and had some noodles with it. Good prices and large portion sizes. The food was so good! Sometimes with sweet and sour it’s hit and miss at some places, but Wings ticked the box!! Negative point - I don’t live close to a Wings :(

Recomiendo este lugar a todo el mundo que conozco que visita Manchester. Aunque en el mercado comercial arndale la comida es impecable y hay incluso un bar de micro en la cancha comida tan agradable si te apetece una copa de vino o una cerveza con su bien. Si quieres buena comida a un precio estupendo es para usted.

I don't know why there are so many negative experiences here because I have been here 3 times now and the meat was nice, tender and juicy, maybe I need to try something else other than the 3meat soup to test the water so to speak. Anyway I cannot fault the food I have ordered from here and the two members of staff here were very polite and helpful towards me and I will definitely be returning to try something else. I am very happy with the food and friendly service I got from here.

The food court was really busy, looking around there were not that many vegetarian options so settled on Wings, Dai Pai Dong - had the vegetable noodle chow main with black bean sauce. A good choice, the sauce was excellent, the food wasn't salty and there was enough that I wasn't hungry until well into the evening. My sister had Won Ton soup with prawn crackers and said it was extremely tasty - two meals for 10,30, quick service, not bad at all for the centre of Manchester. Only comment, they could do with having more vegetarian choices on the menu because it was very limited.

I order an udon noodle with spareribs. Wow the takeaway box was too heavy makes me dribble but when I open it it just looks disgustig. The taste is so bland and it doesnt looks like a food for a human being. I was hungry that time and have no choice but to eat the spareribs and the bits of chicken in the noodles. The first time I have ever taste an asian cuisine how they do it. If you’re not a regular you might find it nice but not when you taste it. Would definitely not coming back on that place at all.

Whenever in Manchester we have to stop here to bring our daughter her favourite food. Food is always hot & fresh. Staff are friendly & pack the food at our request in order to get it home on the train without any spillage.

In the food court, so quite loud. But I got the combo number 20 3times.....noodles and tasty crispy pork and barbecue pork.

On a bus trip for the day. Couldn't return home without picking up food from here. Loved eating here when I lived in Manchester. The food is always fresh & hot. Some great choices to. Can't wait to go back.

Quick bite to eat before husband and I went to see Impractical Jokers stand up show... we couldn't find anywhere else to eat as city was so packed/busy. We were pleased the food court in Arndale was still open at that time (around 7pm). Yummy noodles, not too pricey. Kind of bog standard, you get what you pay for, but nice all the same. All in all, no complaints :)

Si vas a hacer una comida/comida rápida tome en China, debería evitar una tabla menú numerados y patatas fritas. Cómo sobre una cocina abierta y un menú de desfiles como muchos locales de ciudades y ciudades exitosas en todo el Reino Unido que wok los ingredientes en el cliente.

Come here for a quick chinese meal and the food is always great. Chicken curry is great and sweet and sour tasty too. Only problems we've had is that on an occasion they told my husband that the payment needed to be redone so they apparently refunded transaction and did again, only when i checked my bank statement they had taken payment twice

Over prised and awful food meat was tough and fatty and noodles slimy would not recommend should of gone mc donalds at least you know your buying crap

Yo cenamos aquí con regularidad, así que deben estar haciendo algo bien. La última vez que visité me di cuenta de que mi comida no era tan caliente (temperatura) ya que normalmente es. Una palabra con la sustitución de personal pronto se tradujo en fresco de la cocina. Me voy de nuevo.

Has to be THE best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to EVER ! Can't recommend it enough. The staff are so attentive and Mr Wing is fantastic. I've visited with my 14 year old daughter and she felt like a princess. It's not cheap but you can't put a price on quality and service and you get both here. Enjoy !

Oversalted nasty what was suppose to be soya dicied chicken with cheap poor quality noodles. Not fresh at all. Horrible smell of old dirty socks. Curry looked and tastes like vomit. Food made us sick littely and almost threw up on the food court after trying it out. Never purchased a food that I had to leave entirely untouched before. Place shuld be shut down. Disgrace to chinese cousine.

The guys at the Lowery booked me in to this restaurant and how pleased I was they did From start to finish the staff were quality the food was quality and the feeling in the place was fantastic Will book here with out doubt the next time in Manchester Thanks guys

After many days of taking Chinese food, it was something which was quite welcome for us.The food is quite good and the portion is big.

Been eating here for several years now when visiting the Arndale Centre in Manchester and we're never disappointed. The menu has changed a bit, and prices have risen with the times, but it always remains a pleasure to eat here. The salt and pepper chips are the best I've found anywhere.Only down side is that it can be hard to find a table to eat at during busy times.

This is the food outlet in the Arndale centre, NOT a full restaurant!Excellent food, salt and pepper chips were amazing and the sweet and sour chicken was amazing!

The indoor market food hall offers many inexpensive culinary delights reminiscent of street food around the world and this is one of the best. There is a general seating area which serves all of the outlets and so getting a table can be tricky at peak times but we always seem to manage it. Go there and expand your culinary horizons!

We visited here as a party of 4 and all of us left saying this place is a special restaurant. We opted for the banquet for 4 people, not cheap at around £30 per head but with the quality of food we were served and the service i would not hesitate in paying that bit more again. Food was beautifully cooked and presented, the duck was delicious. Service outstanding. Without doubt the best chinese restaurant i have ever visited,

Visited Wings last night for the third time and for the third time it was exceptional.From the greeting at the door, the friendly and attentive service throughout the meal (including hot towels prior to eating) and fantastic food with a good wine list, this really is hard to beat.Wings has a well balanced room with larger tables for big parties and comfortable booths to the side for a more private meal; so something for everyone. Truly excellent.

We had never been here before and some friends suggested we try it as she is a pr for a well known celeb and it just has the best chinese in town so we did ! From entering we were greeted by the manager who was very charming and had arranged a very nice booth for us all .When we had seated, a nice thing was they arrived with hot hand towels which I always get at the end of a meal but before never and its such a great little thing ,clean hands as we use them a lot in chinese. The food throughout was excellent staff were so attentive the whole night was fabulous and we are back again this week if we can get a table as it very popular with the footballers and TV ,media people and isn't a large Restaurant so fills up quick ,WELL WORTH A VISIT .

There is a god welcome from David when you arrive but the service is rather frenetic. Your glass of wine is filled every minute and the staff very Chinese. the food was excellent and there are several booth seats which is great if you want to be private.

Recommended by our hotel. First thing you notice is a bunch of plates on the wall signed by celebrities like David Beckham and Sharon Osborne and sir Alex Ferguson. According to people in the know, this is a hangout for all the local soccer folks.We were greeted promptly at the door by the owner, Mr. Wing and told that they were slightly backed up and could we have a seat in the small waiting area - sure no problem. Well it turned out that this was just their ploy for trying to increase the sale of alcohol as the restaurant was only half full. Three different people stopped by during our short wait asking if we'd like to order a drink.We were shown to our table, a nice table in the corner. The restaurant offers lots of privacy as there are booth-like dividers between many of the tables. All the employees were Chinese and the wait staff all wear white gloves. The service itself was crisp, formal and efficient.They have a vast menu and we sampled 3 different items. Alas, I wish the quality and taste of the food measured up to the service. For my taste the food was bland and rather uninteresting. Not at all what we had expected when we were told this was the "best Cantonese Cuisine in Manchester."

The best Noodle and Sushi bar I have ever been to! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! It's very affordable and so incredibly tasty! Truly excellent place!
