Servicio amable y buenas bebidas.

Luego me levanté y me fui.

Esta barra de champán podría ser perfecta. . . ! ! No volveremos

Whenever we go shopping in Manchester City Centre we head to the House of Frazer store and go straight to Toms Champagne bar! This is a particular treat for us at Christmas time..in the run up to Christmas 2015 we went to the store quite a lot and therefore ended up at the champagne bar. There is a nice atmosphere here (really good barman and very friendly) the barman is very knowledgable about cocktails, champagne and wines....he will also advise on food choice if customer is not sure what to order. This is a very welcome haven after shopping at any time of year..the staff are very friendly..there is also a baby grand piano playing good background music which makes for a nice atmosphere! The place isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. You won't be disappointed.

Called for a lunchtime drink and a bite to eat. We sat inside, the place looked a little tired and in need of a makeover. Ordered a couple of drinks and sandwiches, I ordered a gin and tonic. The waitress had half filled the glass with ice and then poured the full bottle of tonic, 125ml, into the glass. You couldn't taste the gin at all!! I brought this to the attention of the bar staff who offered me a replacement drink, which I accepted and thanked him. When I asked for the bill I found that I'd actually been charged for the second gin to which he replied his 'manager' had told him to do this and that he had only just started working there. Don't think we'll be returning.

I went here for an afternoon drink. The bar need more privacy from the shop department floor. The waiter was friendly, but his appearance was scruffy for someone serving in a "Champagne Bar". the waiter was wearing "workman" style boots and he was too false in his manner. This was very off putting. I would not go here again as it felt like I was simply sitting in a Tesco cafe with champagne. There is nothing "Champagne" about it.

Haven't eaten there as yet, had a voucher for 2 champagne's for £10, so thought we'd give it a go. It's on 3rd floor of Kendals so had time for a little shop too. Met my friend after work and ended up staying a bit longer than expected. The bar staff were so lovely and they have a cocktail happy hour, which is never a bad thing. Just had a casual sit on the high stools around the bar and was made to feel very welcome. The pony-tailed bar guy was really knowledgeable and friendly. I'm hoping to go back with another friend this weekend and maybe try the afternoon tea (when I say tea, I mean bubbly). Treat yourself, take a break from shopping and give your feet a rest for half an hour, takes the stress out of the shopping frenzy.

Surprised a friend to afternoon tea here during a shopping trip to Manchester, having already purchased this via Living Social for £25.Offered a glass of cava as we were seated. Informed what the sandwiches were - both suggested we did not like cheese and then advised that the sandwiches are already made and there isnt actually a choice. Though warm the scones were dry.I wasnt aware there were different deals of Afternoon Tea, though the next table were definately served something different and they said it was the afternoon tea. They had champagne flutes with champage and a strawberry and a different selection of cakes.Looked like we'd just been served the cheaper version.Theres so many nicer places out there offering higher quality better deals.Definately expected better from where we were and certainly wouldnt do it again !!!!!

I love afternoon tea, probably more than is good for me, so I was excited to go here with my mum and sister when I came back from London this weekend just gone. Oh Dear, what a shambles. The service was slow and forgetful. The sandwiches came out and looked like a 4 year old had made them (the bread didn't align, one half of the slice was rectangular and one was circular...it was like they were using the odds and sods in an effort not to waste!), the pastries were so soft with age that when you picked them up they fell apart and the chocolates had been in the fridge so started to sweat in the heat of the room and were inedible. The scone was nice and warm but the measliest pot of cream came out with it we had to ask for more.We weren't going to complain at the sandwiches, although they warranted it, but the pastries pushed us over the edge. The manageress was DELIGHTFUL - completely in agreement and so apologetic and caring - she replaced the cakes without question and offered new sandwiches. We accepted the cakes and a glass of bubbly each - and she even left the rest of the bottle. She well and truly saved the day, so if you do get to read this thank you very much! The the trays for the diners who came after us for afternoon tea looked much better so she must have intervened.I may have come on a bad day, but I wouldn't return - which is a shame.

Compared to our last 'Afternoon tea' at Samlesbury, this was a little disappointing. The service was good and we found the staff very helpful and attentive but the assortment of sandwiches was poor. When the food arrived we were told the scones were still warm and advised to eat them first. No problem as they were delicious with the clotted cream and jam. We then ate the finger sandwiches, turkey, cucumber and tuna paste which were very disappointing.. The glass of champagne should have been colder and we finished with a decent coffee. At £25 for two we doubt if we will visit again.

Having bought a voucher for afternoon tea we weren't expecting great things however it was way below our low expectations, the 'food' arrived within a minute of sitting down and had obviously been in the fridge for some time, 6 miniscule finger sandwiches filled with tuna, cucumber and cheese were poorly presented and unappetising, the scone was ok as was the fruit tart, both were clearly bought in. So many better places for afternoon tea in the area we were thoroughly disappointed to have chosen this one and will never return.

After having a wonderful morning of pampering for my mum's birthday, we headed to Tom's for a treat and a little tipple. How utterly disappointing. I have NEVER experienced an afternoon tea that looked so bad that we didn't actually eat it. The waiter tried his best but failed in resolving the situation.Utterly disappointing and we paid the full price of £55, more fool us I guess. We won't be back, and such a shame as one of my Mum's favourite bars.

Came here today with an offer and was highly disappointed. They forgot half the crusts of the sandwiches; the desert looked supermarket bought; there was two 'past it' chocolates; but worst of all the waiter was inappropriate and verging on sleazy. Made us feel very uncomfortable as he winked and felt his ponytail as we left. This place really needs to up its game in comparison to other afternoon teas in the area.

On the 3rd floor of Kendals (House of Fraser) in Manchester Tom's bar is a great way to spend a hour or so with some champagne from a wide choice, other drinks or cocktails are available of course, for those wanting something different. We found the prices very good, but we would have like a few complimentary nibbles to help pass the time while drinking a whole bottle, we have been to other bars who do charge a bit less and fresh fruit or small bowls of nibbles help the time pass by, also can make you order more!!!! But all in all the bar is great with attentive staff, although the piano player did look like he just came off the street and did not match the grand piano he was playing which was a shame considering he was a great pianist

I used to work in House of Fraser so I've been a few times. Not particularly pricey, it's a city centre spot at the end of the day but personally I wouldn't want to be sat pushed to the side of womenswear and pay £60+ for a bottle of Champagne.I have been once when I was told they needed my glass because they'd run out and there were maybe 10 people altogether so not sure what was going on there.

It was my wife's birthday and my youngest son bought her a Wowcher voucher for a champagne afternoon tea in an unusual setting.Toms Champagne Bar on the third floor in House of Fraser in Manchester is a quietly unassuming place but should not be under-estimated.It’s afternoon tea option comes with two strawberry-decorated glasses on Mumm Champagne to accompany finger sandwiches of goats cheese and chutney, smoked chicken and crayfish tails followed by warm scones with homemade Chantilly cream and jam, slices of fruit gateaux and chocolates. First class food and service but, being next to four third floor lifts, not exactly placed for a quiet afternoon tea. That said, it’s well worth a try.

Had great telephone service from Sam and when we arrived today she was so helpful. This was a surprise treat for our friend and they let me put up a couple of birthday banners, balloons and sparkles. Service was absolutely perfect. The sandwiches were salmon and cream cheese, chicken, prawn, cheese and oh my gosh the scones, cakes and chocolates were fabulous. It was mid afternoon when we arrived and the place was almost empty so it almost felt like it was exclusively ours! A little more atmosphere would have made a difference but Sunday afternoon prob not the busiest time. The special offer was champagne afternoon tea for 2 £20. I thought that was each but it was between 2 so bargain! Couldn't have asked for a nicer afternoon. Thanks to Lexie and Sam and the others who were around. Would highly recommend :)
