What can I say it's a huge "spoons" you get what it says on the tin. Cheapish beer in the city center, Staff were quick to serve you , The atmosphere was relaxed (Thursday 6pm). So alls good.

A wonderful place. Very well located in the center of Manchester and an impressive venue: very large, very comfortable seating, and a great atmosphere. It's geared toward everyone: large tables for a group of friends, more secluded areas for smaller groups... it's perfect for a quiet dinner or a few beers and then a night out. It has very competitive prices, and they often combine food with an additional pint for a little extra (about 2 pounds). You can also order and pay from your mobile phone. Service is very fast. Definitely a place to come back.

Came here on a Friday around 5.20pm, expectedly busy which is a nice atmosphere. However, the food took 20-25 minutes to arrive and was lukewarm, and the sour cream with my loaded fries looked watery and congealed. My boyfriend had to chase his korean chicken bowl up at it had been 35 minutes and he'd ordered before me, and the attitude of the staff was quite negative. Usually a good experience here so quite disappointed.

Ordered a packet of Salt and Vinegar Crisps to my table. Service was brilliant but crisps too salty

Standard Wetherspoons, but in a great building with multiple floors. There's some great hide away spots too which made it perfect for a quiet breakfast, with a book. Staff were friendly, welcoming and first time I've been in a Wetherspoons where they were actively clearing plates, empty glasses etc. Food is standard and nothing out of the ordinary.

Spent the evening here, with friends, hit the allowed limit for shots without realising there is a limit. Service was great, especially on a Friday night, and it even has a dance floor. Great location.

Attended this evening and ordered on the app my drinks did not arrive. The manager refused to help or supply the drinks ordered despite having a receipt for the payment - have had to report to trading standards and my bank Very poor service

The food tasted good, but after a fish and chips with mushy peas, I was still hungry. The service I had to call the waiter to clean the table. All in all, the place is wonderful.

Saturday 1st March 2025 This is a clean, well staffed weatherspoons a lage interior with 2 floors to drink in it can hold about 500 people This pub only got 4 stars off me because there was 1 handpumped guest ale on offer when we were in today

Good place never tried the food

It was a reasonable place definitely my visit was much better as the last time I've been there a few years ago with drunk people sleeping on the tables and the toilets were not in a good state. Definitely they had an upgrade on the staff and this time the toilets were flawless 👌🏿👌🏿

Lovely and seemingly traditional and stereotypical British pub-café in a both bustling and relaxing environment with friendly staff and fast served food with good flavors and surprisingly cheap prices. It was funny to see Brits labeling each and single item with the total amount of calories it contained as well, good bonus heh.

Absolutely love a spoons, but not a fan of going to the toilet and seeing multiple guys sniffing coke at the urinals at 6pm on a Saturday night. You guys really need to clean this up even if it means putting a security guard in there!

Had a few drinks here when in Manchester over the weekend. Found this to be the nicest one in the centre of town. It is a typical spoons but the crowd seemed nicer.

Great venue for meeting up with family and friends. Spoons seems to excel in turning once great buildings back to life. My only nit, I don't think it's a good idea for a staff member chewing and popping gum whilst serving behind the bar. One women server obviously didn't think so though. That aside a pleasing visit.

After a couple of shopping errands, and for the very first time I called into the bar for a quick pint. The premises was full, however bar service was very quick and the staff were both pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this bar and will certainly re-visit.

Dropped in on a day Man Utd were playing Rangers. So not only this pub, but all around, was a little manic. But true to form Wetherspoons offered a great pint, well priced food, great surroundings, and very average service. Managers special on Doombar was amazing. Well placed near city centre.

Most recent trips have been for breakfast before going shopping. Full breakfast with drink, never have to wait long and food is always delish. Staff are always friendly. Have also been for drinks, never have to wait too long. However, it does get busy

Once the largest pub in the world the MuW is an old Weatherspoons pub. A little rowdy some nights due to its prime location at the busy end of Deansgate at all other times it's perfect for families and children or a quiet pint. The rest? Well it's a Weatherspoons! Surely you know what that means? :)

Bad communication. If you have different opening hours on January 1st, I can understand that. But why isn't that communicated in the app? Is it really that difficult?

Lovely big old spoons with additional seating up stairs. Used to be an old theatre 🎭 had some bites and 3 pints. Service was exceptional. The blonde guy upstairs 'ember' was constantly working hard to clear tables and please customers. Some good staff

Very large pub with a dj on sometimes. Really cool looking and cheap obviously. Only annoying is that the smoking area is small and on the main road. My favourite Wetherspoons in Manchester

Drink are cheap, it is Huge with an upstairs and downstairs and balcony overlooking the makeshift dancefloor for the weekends and evenings. Good music and vibes here. Can't go wrong on the weekend to begin a night out, with the cheap drinks, dance floor and plenty of room to sit. I'd definitely recommend it. It's on deansgate road too so plenty more places to visit, within walking distance.

Un edificio antiguo pero en buen estado por lo que exuda ambiente. El personal es muy amable y servicial. Nos atendieron en doble tiempo rápido y fue excelente. Esto nos preparó muy bien para un día encantador en Manchester.

Really nice large Wetherspoons. The front half was pretty busy (Tuesday lunchtime) but the back half feels like a totally different bar and was pretty quiet. Large upstairs area too with separate bar. First time in here but I prefer it over the Seven Stars, though the drinks are slightly more expensive.

Era un día frío y así devolví a Li al bar donde parecía estar causando un gran debate. ¿El gerente me miró y dijo otra? Dije que sí. Hambriento tan bien. Fue un error el segundo vino nadando en grasa un poco más caliente. Esto fue una decepción, pero es Manchester en Navidad. No lo siento, sólo una mirada sucia

Regular wetherspoons during the day, it turns into a "club" at 9 pm Fridays and Saturdays with a good quality audio system, music varies depending on the DJ.

Extremely busy place, quite a large place but fast service but the food here is absolutely shocking. Asked for a cheese and tomato panini and all I got was a tiny bit of cheese and couple of tomatoes for £8.50! Prices are also alot more expensive then my local weatherspoons.

Very poor service and rude bar staff. I understand that the pub can be very busy but when questioned how long our food will be then told to sit down this is not good enough. People were waiting at the bar to order and was just ignored. A elderly lady wasn’t very happy when she got ignored too. The staff defiantly need a refresher when it comes to customer service! We are only in Manchester for the weekend and thought this would be a nice place to eat, but we got a refund and left!

I am utterly disappointed and frustrated by my recent experience with this place. On a rainy evening, we walked briskly for 30 minutes to reach the bar, only to be turned away at the door by security. The reason? We were wearing jeans. This was not only insulting but also completely unbelievable. I have dined at this place 3 times before and never once has my attire been commented on. It feels as though the dress code was merely used as an excuse to refuse us entry and cause unnecessary trouble. It's a shame that such discriminatory practices tarnish what could otherwise be a great establishment. Needless to say, I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking fair and respectful treatment.
