Manchester Christmas Markets were our target for today as a family day trip out, what a great way to start than with a fantastic value for money and excellent quality breakfast than here at weatherspoons! Could not fault the breakfast, clean plates all round is a sure sign how good a place it is. Will certainly be back, the actual building is a little piece of history with great original features in this deceptively huge place it's got masses of character adding to its warmth and charm. Staff here are brilliant very friendly and nothing too much trouble, service extremely quick. We could not fault anything, see you soon Moon under water!! 5*****

Lovely staff as at many weatherspoons unfortunately the bouncers spoil my visit I was asked to move away from the pub to have a cigarette (I was on a public footpath) when I objected and referred to the fact that I was on a public footpath and the bouncers have no right to tell me where I can stand ....I was calm non threatening just saying what is my right to say the bouncers bevame aggressive and wouldn't let me return to the establishment to even go get my mobile phone and let my friends know I had been barred I will return and ask to speak to the manager as I found this to be totally unacceptable and Mr Bouncer if you think you are above the laws of this land your career will be very short indeed

The Moon Under Water, a Wetherspoons pub located in Manchester, is a fantastic spot that perfectly encapsulates the charm and character of the city. This spacious pub boasts a welcoming atmosphere, with its high ceilings and comfortable seating creating a relaxed environment for patrons. One of the highlights of The Moon Under Water is its extensive menu, offering a variety of delicious food options at incredibly reasonable prices. We visited her as a couple as we were staying overnight at a nearby hotel, it was a Monday night. The pub was busy at around 8:45, surprisingly busy but the clientele was made up of quite a few younger people who were maybe students. A couple of these lads, very young looking were clearly on coke, up to the toilets, back down again sniffing up and wiping their nose and a bit more swagger in their walk! On a Monday night ?? Anyway, we had some food, ordered from our table and the service was good, food was decent and as you’d expect from Wetherspoons for the lower price you pay. No complaints here, I’d just worry about being here on a busy night if young lads are smashing the coke on a Monday, what would the weekends be like! Anyway they didn’t cause us any problems, we just happened to be sat nearby.

Avoid at all costs. We were humiliated by one of the managers and his friends sitting in the booth across from us. THEY THREW THEIR FOOD AT US AND LAUGHED ABOUT IT (completely unprovoked). We like this brand a lot and use all its outlet across Manchester but this one appears to be the weak link. It still has the same great range of drinks at very reasonable prices but it let itself down on this last occasion and we will think twice before going back. Well located on Deansgate it is a big place with lots of history and a good atmosphere. The problem occurred though when we were trying to buy drinks and it became a very annoying experience. Unsurprisingly it was busy but there were only two people serving. This resulted in a long queue and caused problems with people trying to push inand so on. The young man behind the bar was working flat out but the other lady Didn't seem to care and took her own time which was very frustrating to watch. They didn't have many of the draft beers on and even our favourite bottle of Turkish beer was out of stock which wasn't a great experience either. These are easy things to put right so hopefully as when we next go back in it will be better.

Nice and big weatherspoon with the standard menu, due to being in city centre you do however pay the more premium prices for food and drinks compared to the spoons further away. Only downside was some tables on the upper floor were a little cramped but can't complain because we at least got a seat!!

Had a meal booked at 3pm on Saturday turned up all shut in darkness. A bloke turned up who happened be a chef for these ppl asked at 10am too do a shift he waited for over an hour outside with myself my partner and other waiting customers. He could get hold of the owners let allow management until a call came around 4:30pm saying no one turning up too open!! Too add there was an 11gallon barrel of beer and a big box of vacuum packed meat defrosting outside the place!! Think this place has died it’s death!!
