Great place to get a bite to eat very friendly atmosphere

Shocking service and bad attitude from bar staff. Put order in waited 25 minutes, one of the staff noticed we had waited a long time, he went to a member of bar staff to ask about are drinks and he was told that we had to wait, then we noticed another member of bar staff go to a bin and pulled a handful of receipts out of the bin and are's was one that had bin put in the bin. We ordered a second round of drinks when it went quite and had to wait another 25 minutes, we felt as though we were being punished because a member of the staff had enquired about are first round of drinks. We brought it to the attention of the lady manager about what had happened. In all the weatherspoons we have bin in over the past 2 day's in Manchester it was the worst and poorly run bar.

Good spot for a cheep drink, staff were friendly with good service even though it was busy! Food was nice too, horrid pint of guiness but thats my fault for ordering one in a spoons 🤣

Nice and handy to go for evening meal.In Oxford st in Manchester .we had the Chicken Katsu which was very tasty aswell as the convenience of the train station down the street !

Good end of the night bar, next door to our hotel, good atmosphere, didn't eat here but the atmosphere was good. Would recommend anyone staying in the Premier Inn popping in for that "One for the road" drink, staff decent and eager to serve.

Nice pub, well located. I like this chain, but too many ordering errors with the application (volume of cognac, beer instead of cider). Not my best experience for a weatherspoon.

Had dinner sat outside, asked the bar for some water and I was given a glass and filled it up myself. Went to take the glass outside (not realising glass could not be taken outside), the bouncer pushed me with his hand and shouted 'no glass!'. The rule is fair but no reason to push and talk to me in that way, so disrespectful

Fabulous 'spoons but incredibly busy. Food and drink is everything you would expect at a 'spoons. Because it is so busy there were a lot of tables with glasses on them that needed clearing.

Freezing. So cold. Ridiculously cold. Air con on all the time. So absolutely freezing. 11 degrees outside so better to sit there than inside.

It's just too busy! Extremely busy ! It was week days and we couldn't find a seat inside. It's a bit too much for my taste.

Typical wetherspoons, but good location and plenty of space

Busy busy busy, but ordering using the app was easy and our food and drinks arrived promptly. Not glam but great value.

Went for a morning breakfast with my brother we had two full English breakfast one with a unlimited coffee and one tap water. The food was hot but one of the bacon with a bit underdone for my liking but all the other food was good. We then stayed to meet some friends and had some drinks and a good catch up. Good times all round.

Met up with friends for a first time visit. Well placed just off Peter Square. Beer was good (lovely stout at £2.60 a pint) and all staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

It's a wetherspoons, in the centre of the city. A good location, a good meeting place then to explore rest rest of Manchester city centre. Great section of beers & spirits.

Pizza and wings were great and the beers were cold. The entire place was a great experience.

Many choices on types of food. You'll generally find something that will satisfy whatever mood you are in. Cost is very fair. Speed of service is better than expected.

I have visited this Wetherspoons on many occasions for both food and drink and no matter what time of year, there are always flies flying around especially near the food area. This has really put me off eating in here. I like the pub and enjoy drinking in there but will no longer have food . I complained to management and they said there was nothing they could do about it as people are coming in and out all the time so flies come in but I’ve never encountered this problem at any other Wetherspoons in Manchester. There is clearly a problem here.

Really tasty pizza with free drink. Prices very reasonable.

Honestly disgusted and this place should not be open. The amount of flies was insane. I feel sick that I ate and drank here I only noticed when they started flying around my plate. No exaggeration there were hundreds like something was deceased in the building. Never ever coming back here again

Came today for lunch with 8 friends and we all ordered lunch and drinks .It wasn’t until I started to eat that I realised there was loads and loads of flies on the lights ,ceiling, mirrors , it was absolutely disgusting.I later rang the bar and asked to speak to a Manager ,the lady I spoke to was aware of the flies !!! I was amazed that they was still serving food , it had certainly put me off ever visiting again ,all my friends also commented on the number of flies they were literally everywhere towards the back of the pub , this can not be hygienic.

I took colleagues here and they enjoyed it. It’s impossible to get a table inside after 5pm but there were still outdoor tables. Security do their best to stop people vaping by the tables but it’s a hard task. Drinks delivery from mobile app ordering was always super quick and friendly. The toilets were ok, maybe their cleanliness is related to how large a venue this is.

Was in here today. Ordered, medium & large mixed grill. Sorry to say, the meat was pork, lamb & steak all tasted the same & was hard & chewy. Paid £32 & left half of it. Won't be buying again. The food going downhill in all weatherspoons 😡

We spent 40 minutes waiting for our food to be delivered to the table. It turned out that the food had been prepared, placed in the area to be sent out to our table, but the ticket was cleared, so our food was sitting for over 30 minutes to be sent out to us with not a single member of staff realising that it was waiting. Very poor service on the part of Wetherspoons.

this is Wetherspoons which serves good beer, it also serves many meals. It is a good facility to get a beverage with other people no matter the day of the week or the time of the week, sometimes they also offer specials. they also will bring the beer to your table if you order online. It is near other places as well which is good for Manchester. very good day I hope you are having

Great pub! Stopped in here for a couple whilst waiting for the last train. Spacious, massive bar which was well tended to by good staff. Good atmosphere with a broad range of customers. Mezzanine drinking area. Surprisingly the toilets are on the ground level!

Nice and convenient Wetherspoons in Manchester centre, and for us oldies the toilets are actually on the same floor as the bar, no stairs to climb!! Yay!!

Friendly and helpful staff. Food is as you expect in a wetherspoons, hot, arrives in good time and is cheap. Nothing wrong with it, does what it says on the tin!

As far as Spoons go, this one was an actual pleasure to visit. We met with a group of friends for a milestone birthday and the staff couldn't have been more brilliant. The service was ace and as always for this chain, the value was fab. Our mate even discovered gambling for the first time and made £30 on a slot machine - luckily, she went straight home after that and so its not started a bad habit (as far as we know). We feel like there should have been more ciders on offer - maybe some local ones or something to spice things up? I know Manchester isn't known for its ciders but hey, why not? Also, there's not too many stairs to the toilets - my boyfriend is really hyped about this one so it needs a mention apparently.

It's a 'spoons, enough said. Dessert wasn't the best.

Usually love a cheeky couple here with my partner but of recent there seems to be a new manager (miserable with a top knot) who is just rude and unwelcoming. Saviour of tonight would be the chatty, bubbly blonde who made up for his awful attitude roaming around

Like the layout of the pub.the area I think is very underrated.

All the usual Spoons benefits and disadvantages. I.e. good value drinks, spacious, magnet for local alcoholics. Central location close to Oxford Street station. Quick service and outdoor seating.

Food was good but mates had a mixed grill ..looked pukka theres was better..but i went for fish n chips..batter was burnt ..hohum ..my choice

Even by Wetherspoons standards this is bad. A filthy, fly invested hole.

Terrible service in a well-located and very busy place. The bartender answers rudely and there are no soft drinks for children. I don't recommend it.

One of the better values in town for food and drink. But prefer Salisbury for the price

This is my least favourite JD. The carpet is sticky, the chairs are wobbly and it's full of rowdy pissheads and bar flies. There are nicer spoons just 5 minutes walk away.

Worst bar in Manchester, kicked out my disabled grandfather Bjorn for filming a video of his birthday. Disgusting staff members who were disgustingly rude. I wouldn't ever go back there and i would advise anyone with disabled grandfathers to avoid.

I used to love this branch as it looks better and the building is newer than the rest. Location is good. Drinks are great but I hate those security people on weekends. They keep bothering and talking to everyone in a rude way. Especially the bald old guy, he has so much attitude even if you do nothing wrong! If you have a vape on outside table they’ll keep asking you to smoke outside the area while you aren’t even touching it or smoking! I’ve heard this oveeeerrrr 10 times on one night which is super annoying! Their system been down on a Saturday which was shocking to us as they only accepted cash on the day. One night they asked us to go in as they were removing chairs and tables from outside at 8pm!!! Inside was full and we were enjoying fresh air. If you’re open till 1pm on weekend then why would you remove them at 8pm? Maybe put up few signs?! I’ve been there few times and despite the fact I love the building, area and even the drinks, overall, I’m not happy at all. Those security and one of the staff (long hair guy) need to learn to have a better attitude towards people. At the end of the day it’s a bar and people don’t want you to ruin their night.

Not the best Wetherspoon outlet though it catered well enough. A tad bland compared with others and appeared to have a staff shortest on this visit. The food and drink was fine.

Bang average spoons.Ordered on the app,everything came fairly quickly and was correct. Staff not overly friendly and didn't smile much. Very over the top with football banners and flags etc. Average for a wetherspoons not great but not too bad either.

Good Spoons overall. For the location you'd expect it would be a little better kept, was given the wrong drink, but we roll.

I was charging my phone and I unplugged it for a while. When I returned to plug my phone, it was not there. I kindly asked the waitress to help me about the phone charge to find it, the first answer she gave me was that that is not my problem. That seem to me a bit of rude without requesting any help or advice. I asked her to be able to check the CCTV covering the area I plugged the phone, she told me that she will ask the manager but the manager refused my request. A couple of minutes later, the phone charge was showed up at the hand of waitress who came up to give it to me. I enquired her about where she found it. She told that the phone charge cable had been taken away to lost property office. Someone removed the charge cable within a few minutes after I unplugged my phone and I wanted to plug in it again. In a split second.

Pub going like the clappers on a Friday lunchtime. Service was like lightening, I ordered on the app & both drinks & food appeared in no time. The pub was SPOTLESS & staff were attentive. Will definitely return!

Portion sizes are getting ridiculous. Difference between a 7" wrap and a 10"? Literally just the wrap size. Burger patty wouldn't even fill up a small kid

Arrived hot and bothered after a decent walk across town. Ordered via table service. Nachos, chicken nuggets and loaded fries. All the food was lovely and everything arrived super quick. Staff were great. Left recharged.

Use the phone ordering service or you will lose your table

Some staff are brilliant while other should never be given a job in hospitality. Smile take, the odd little bit of banter, it’s not personal. Generally the food was ok , however my wife’s steak was marred with gristle. Generally experience 5/10

Absolutely brilliant customer service food was absolutely astonishing and the atmosphere is always amazing I'm not a local as I live in Dorset but I absolutely loved everything about today and spending it with my partner makes it so special definitely coming back again I highly recommend it if your living in Manchesterits truely amazing
