Wetherspoons Piccadilly in Manchester

Never had a medium rare steak with no pink meat. Glad never ordered well done it would have been tough. Cheap yes but despite looking nice was horrible. Service nice surprise surprise only place i have eaten where i was not asked how was your meal. Food 1 out 10 Service 8 out 10 decor 8 out 10 Come again? Not in this millenium.

OK really. The lavatories aren't a million miles away. Good selection of beers as per usual.

I was in Piccadilly gardens when a man tried to pickpocket me I followed him into the pub and alerted the staff what had just happend. I was then asked to leave and the pick pockter was aloud to stay. Horrible staff with bad attitudes towards the public.

Revisited after a long gap due to Covid. Interior refreshed, service improved, good range of ales (beer festival), but hard to find a seat. Others in group ate and were happy with their food.

No tables, sticky floors, frozen food just heated, too busy.

It's a very busy city centre pub in a pretty down beat section around Piccadilly. It matches its surroundings. Tries to do a standard Wetherspoons delivery on fairly trying circumstances. Staff clearly work hard to keep standards to a sensible degree. On reflection there're better eateries and better Whetherspoons within 5 to 10 min walking distance.

Quick and cheap. Bottomless coffee is a lifesaver

Ordered All day brunch. !! Tasted ok but microwaved sausages Luke warm. Bacon beans chips ok . Fried eggs way over done Food should be served hotter. Place was not busy when visited. Was my fried eggs microwaved. ?? Staff looked miserable!

Obviously you know what you're getting with the food in Spoons. If you've had the meal in any of them it's the same in the rest of them! That being said the pizza was bloody awesome as always. I'm genuinely shocked at just how good Wetherspoons pizzas are.

This pub is a pretty decent place to to for a decent pint.its in a good location in Piccadilly gardens very close to the bus station and metrolink stop.the beer is good and cheep.the food is cheep,but I haven't tried it here.if the food is like the other weatherspoons that I've tried it should be good the only downside with this one is that it can get very busy all day making it very noisy.

It was very busy for a Friday afternoon.

This has to be one of the worst spoons going, the lay out is awful, the space is alot let to be desired. I took my pint to the front being a lone drinker. Fair enough was asked not to, I then said there are no tables at the front to leave drinks so I can watch it (I've been spiked before). I was then told "you shouldn't come to the pub by yourself then". Staff at the bar no manners either, they need to learn how to work in hospitality as a whole. First time in Manchester and the first impressions are awful, stick to Liverpool. I'm from Wolverhampton and it's much friendlier and have better people (not speaking about all manstonians). But sort it out.

Didn't get food. Visited the only spoons called Wetherspoons. It was very busy but the staff were superb. Friendly and super quick service. Will definitely be back.

Ordered back coffee beans and toast . Wow How can a chef get that wrong ? Beans where cold toast was warm bread thick with butter . Couldn’t eat any total let down . One good point coffee was very good

The fish and chips are so delicious even for Korean tastes. However, since it is fried, it is greasy, so I think I need a drink or beer. There are a lot of sheep. The inside is pretty too! Personally, I don't have many Asians, so I liked the British feel. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was so comfortable. would definitely visit here again <3

This is the worst place I've ever been to. I came here after work and they told a friend of mine to get out because we were laughing at our own conversation and jokes stating "my friend is too drunk while he just had a pint". I think this is an act of racism as well are from India and the staff didn't like the way we talked we each other (keep in mind, we were all pretty sober and talking about our day to day lives). A staff working there told my friend to leave because he was too drunk while in reality, we were sober and talking in our native language, uninterrupting other people's privacy or not disturbing other people's privacy and well being. We were really shocked by the nature of staff and security, being very rude and not willing to comprehend or understand what we were even trying to communicate. I feel very ashamed to be a customer as they treated us very poorly. We are never coming here anymore and I would suggest any other whether spoons but this. So sorry to say, but this Weather Spoons staff should learn and and understand and put into matrix to understand if a person is DRUNK or not. Not just by judging on the race and colour. So sorry for all the customers who have been through the same.

Great place to unwind after work and holiday

This is the worst spoons I've been to. While majority of the staff were nice just two staff members arrogant attitude and the manager's spineless disposition can ruin a whole places reputation and this is what happened here with my mates and me. The waitress and no sense of judgement of when a person is intoxicated and the pathetic excuse of a manager wasn't ready to listen to us. The recalcitrant security guard wasn't ready for a civil conversation saying he was not in the mood. All I want to say is if Whetherspoons is going to give their waiting staff the right to decide when a person is drunk, they should hire people who knows what a drunk person looks like and only promote and/or hire people as managers who know the importance of customer service and taking a neutral stance.

Excellent breakfast in a pub with a very British atmosphere

☁️Mama and I often walk around Piccadilly Gardens, and then we found this small restaurant. I thought it was well decorated and had a lot of people, so I thought about giving it a try! ! The result feels really good! ! 🍴First of all, they have a wide variety of food, basically snacks (small plate), burgers🍔, pizza🍕, fried chicken🍗, curry🍛, pasta🍝, everything is available, and the menu is clearly divided according to different areas (colors) . ⚠️And all mian dishes come with drinks! ! ➕softdrink will be cheaper, ➕alcohol will be more expensive. But they are generally between 7-13 fat, so I think the price/performance ratio is really good! ! (And there is no service fee) 📃Ordering is also very convenient. Just go to the bar and tell the waiter what you want, then report your table number, and someone will deliver the food to the table. 🥢The two of us ordered a Margherita pizza🍕+lemonade soft drink (actually it’s Sprite), and a classic sirloin🥩+Strawberry Cider. They both tasted pretty good, and we only weighed about 23 pounds in total! 🚽The toilet is very big and the experience is good (. Recommended!!!

When we arrive in the UK our first to do thing is going for a pint of Guinness and it has to be Weather spoon. At least the first ones. Great place, very welcoming .

Very poor standards when it comes to food and drinks but I suppose thats fine as the place was full of people that dont mind. I wanted a breakfast minute to 12 which is fair enough i wasn’t allowed to get but you would think the server would offer me all day breakfast which I only realized was on the menu after i ordered mixed grill which looked as miserable as some of the faces of people eating their overcooked meals… Edit: taking one star down after another visit…cant even swap sausage for bacon and been overcharged

I go to three local pubs every other day and the staff ,service, and beer is always 100% you don't get a bad pint and the price may be a little higher than your local but you don't get the service from your local or scallywags

Found this place actually ok. very friendly doorman who directed me and my daughter to a lovely place to eat - called in for one on our way back. Nice enough atmosphere for a Friday night and well managed security men. Will come back again for a few drinks when i come back to Manchester

Very friendly staff. Unlimited coffee I love and its always nice. I had the new Shakshuka £6.50, the poached eggs were hard inside the whole dish wasn't hot in heat, the sauce was lovely. The token rocket on the top had gone slimy & had already been eaten by something. The bread was nice. I ordered extra maple bacon £1.52 it came soggy not crispy not nice at all, put it on the bread next time. I would have this again hopefully it will come hot, crispy & runny lol.

Ok spoons. Quiet tuesday. Steak club night. Has mixed grill & side salad (keto) which was a bit overcooked. Drinks service was very slow. App claimed 1 minute!

this Wetherspoons has the most helpful staff I've ever come across, unlike others I have visited staff that bring your food will go and find your drink for you if it hasn't yet arrived! Never had this treatment in other Wetherspoons usually get told sorry were busy if you try and complain! They even brought me a cup of tea on one occasion not just the empty cup when I visited for breakfast, they go out of there way here!

WORST DAY OF MY LIFE! AVOID GOING TO THIS PLACE. We used to go to this place but not anymore after what happened to us and I don’t recommend anyone to go there as the manager and bouncers are bunch of rude people that don’t care about customers at all. The story is like that, my wife and I tried to get in the bar but the bouncer asked my wife to show her ID, we were both sober and treated the bouncer respectfully, my wife didn’t have her ID with herself (she’s 30) so I told the bouncer that she’s with me and I’m going to take her responsibility, but suddenly he said “get the f… out of here”. We were both shocked so asked him why he’s speaking like that and we ask to speak to the manager. In our surprise the bouncer started swearing at us again! The other bouncer also got involved and pushed us for no reason! We asked them their name but they refused to tell us. We waited outside for the manager to explain the reason for this behavior in our surprise the manager took their side and supported their rude behaviour. If you respect yourself never go to this place, these people are some low level cheap people that treat everyone like they treat themselves.

On Saturday 29th of June 2024, I visited this wetherspoons in Manchester for a couple of drinks as the value of drinks in this wetherspoons is affordable and reasonable. The drinks are certainly good in this wetherspoons and there are plenty of choices of alcoholic and non alcoholic in this wetherspoons in Manchester. Anyway, I firstly arrived at this wetherspoons in Manchester on the 29th of June and I walked to the bar to order couple of drinks. The bar bartender asked me "what do you want to order?" I asked the bar bartender could I have two pints of Corona Extra please politely as I've got deceny, manners and respect. Manners cost nothing like everyone says which is true. The woman behind the bar said that would be £9.60 when I ordered two pints of Corona Extra and I gave the woman a £10 note. The woman behind the bar only gave me 20p change back and she only gave me one pint of Corona Extra when I asked her two pints of Corona Extra with the exact correct money. I eventually asked the rude useless woman who was serving me why she only gave me one pint of Corona Extra instead of two pints. I gave the pathetic unless woman who served me the correct amount of money to buy myself two pints of Corona Extra. She said in a snotty way "I've gave you the change" I replied saying to her, I've ordered two pints of Corona Extra and I gave you £10 note when paying for my drinks. The lying useless woman tried saying in other words I only gave her a £5 note when I clearly gave the stuipd cow a £10 note. The childish woman who served me called me a "liar" and I don't appreciate being called a "liar" when I'm telling the whole truth. I've got autism and I don't appreciate rude members of staff calling me a liar when I've told the whole truth. 💯 Simple mathematics this and most people will have common sense will know this: One pint of Corona Extra costs £4.80 £4.80+£4.80=£9.60 £10.00-£9.60=£0.40 NOT DIFFICULT TO WORK OUT!!! 😡😠🤡 Why has the ridiculous woman who was serving me behind the bar only gave me one pint of Corona Extra instead of two pints? Why has she only gave me 20p change back when I was meant to get 40p change? I definitely won't be visiting this wetherspoons again after the service I've received from you bunch of clowns 🤡 on Saturday 29th of June and this service I've received on the weekend is absolutely appalling, disgusting and disgraceful! Never again this scummy place! I'd highly recommend anyone not to visit this wetherspoons and if want the staff to steal money from you, this is the correct place for you. 😢 Just be careful people visiting this wetherspoons and this place needs closing down if members of staff can't be trusted with money. 😡😠🤡

First time in this Manchester one and we found it nice, good atmosphere

Great value and excellent and efficient service. We ordered and were served very fast. The quality of the food was good and the drinks were priced at a fair level in particular the great pricing when you get a drink with your meal. I would go back.

I've been to better spoons! Not the best one by far. The staff very good , friendly. Good selections of seasonal beers. It was alright. Just about it.

Place order via mobile app. Food and drinks options are fair enough for breakfast, lunch or happy hour. All the plate, cutlery, glasses are clean but the table is a little bit small and crowd if fully seating four people. Overall, it is a decent place for causal meals.

Wendy's is many times the same, people chatting quite loud, amongst their mates round the table(that's cool, nothing wrong with that) I went on my own for a couple of swift ones before the match, not too friendly in there to be honest. The only positive is the bar staff there cool, nice people
