Customer service was good here. They got our orders right even though were picky. Food was good. Very helpful

Had a lovely time out for our anniversary. We were met and served by Amy, the lovely manager who made sure we were happy and got our orders sorted quickly!

2 stars is honestly polite. We came here to give it a go again after a good time before, would rather not of bothered. Most of the bar staff were on their phones watching videos and what I can only assume was a lady who was serving shots was just lingering in a corner of the bar, clearly uncomfortable, which I would be myself. Food availability shockingly poor. Went for a lasagna I should not of bothered swimming in a liquid water based sauce. Laughable. We came here about 7 months ago and the service was miles better and much better attentive staff.

En el lado positivo esta sucursal de Yates está en una buena ubicación a solo unos minutos a pie de la estación Piccadilly y los jardines. El servicio fue muy rápido y amable. Los precios son excelentes en comparación con los hoteles cercanos. Yo describiría la comida como "OK". Las porciones no son grandes pero tampoco el precio. Mis scampi no fueron los mejores scampi que he tenido pero razonables. El menú es bastante amplio por lo que hay comida casual para satisfacer la mayoría de los gustos.

Food just baset drinks expensive

It was a Friday night. 3 plates of food was 'ok'. Unsure as to whether just reheated or not. Nachos cold? Not the warmest of pubs - careful where you sit 'cos air con units can make difference. Waited at bar while 3 or 4 staff stood at end of bar having a gab. It was interesting seeing so many 'security people' floating around. Overall it was an OK pub.

Food wasn't great, service was good. The place needs a definite update sooner rather than later! Was close to the coach station so chilled till waiting for my ride.

Food was good. Service staff never said anything. You order everything online and then pay directly via this app. Ambiance was cool. The speakers could be a little less loud, but it was perfect for the sports atmosphere

Fue alrededor de las 6 pm y decidió ordenar fuera de la aplicación, ya que había una cola bastante grande. La comida tomó alrededor de 20 minutos, lo que estaba bien, pero luego tuvimos que preguntar a la camarera dónde estaban nuestras bebidas y ella dijo que volvería enseguida con ellos. Pasaron otros 5 - 10 minutos que nunca recibimos nuestras bebidas, así que tuvimos que ir al bar y preguntar de nuevo dónde estaban nuestras bebidas, luego nos dijeron que nos las traerían, lo que tomó al menos otros 5 minutos y ya habíamos terminado nuestra comida. En este punto, la mayoría de la gente se había ido cuando el fútbol había terminado y vimos que el personal del bar simplemente se quedó parado hablando en lugar de traernos nuestras bebidas, lo que les habría llevado ni dos minutos, ya que nuestras bebidas eran solo cocas. Y para colmo, el bollo de hamburguesa se quemó y toda la comida estaba sosa. Definitivamente no volverá, absolutamente ridículo.

Absolutamente espantoso servicio, 2 chicas trabajando, despacio, conseguirlo es Navidad pero no estaba ocupado, actitud seria de la muchacha vil llamada Christina, me lanzó mi reembolso, he estado viniendo a Manchester durante años pero nunca va a entrar allí de nuevo, tío detrás de nosotros dijo que es así cada semana. Very good place for weekends on a very good location.

Sorprendente esperó 25 minutos para las bebidas pedidas en la aplicación, luego fue al bar y dijeron que algo había salido mal. El reembolso no nos dio las bebidas perdidas de tiempo en nuestro viaje en avión

Dirty chairs and tables, staff stood behind the bar just chatting with each other instead of clearing tables. Really dark not inviting.

Tuvimos el placer de ser servidos por Shelley que era extremadamente educado y conversamos con nosotros sobre nuestro día. Sin duda volveremos cuando vuelva en la zona!

Pub wasn't that full but still waited 20+ minutes for 2 cocktails. Had to go to the bar to retrieve them in the end.

Okay but very disappointed. They don't sell BLOBS any more .find it strange for a Yates No Australian white wine .

Good afternoon. I regret to report the disappointment we experienced having lunch at this place. With my partner, in the first order (we had to order twice) we chose a cheese bacon burger (flavorless meat, undercooked bacon, unmelted cheese) but the problem was when they let us buy the beef chili. What we understood was that it did not have chilli but when the plate arrived at the table it turns out that he sold us a tortilla chip (I could count the amount there was and my two hands were enough) of chilli and a sauce that we are still trying to discover what flavor is. After this inconvenience that we decided to ignore, we ordered some mac 'n' cheese so we could eat and feel satisfied. It turns out that the person who served us took a different order and brought us some boiled potatoes with a few macaroni, too much uncooked green onion for decoration and a sauce that was supposedly barbecue but looked like a tomato sauce. We can raise the score of this place because of the atmosphere, very welcoming. But we definitely wouldn't go back. Greetings

Ordered off the festive food menu, the Turkey & Ham Hock Pie, food arrived luke warm and without the seasonal vegetables. Asked the staff where the vegetables were and they had to consult the menu, clearly no idea. A bowl of what could only be described as rabbit food comprising of what could be found around the kitchen arrived 10-15 minutes after finishing the pie and mash. Raised this with the staff and could not be less interested. Would not recommend.

Me atendió Edith que no solo era súper encantadora, sino que también me contó todo sobre los tratos que tenían en los que mis amigos y yo conseguimos una bebida gratis😁. Gran experiencia y no puedo esperar a volver!

They served us horrible cider, when we went to ask to replace a drink, a bold guys acting as manager said we can't do that In very rude manner. I work in hospitality, I know that's not true, these people cost businesses a lot, never going back, no wonder place was empty.

Probably a nice place but ill do my best to avoid it in the future. Ordered drinks, a meal, and a side. Only the meal came. My friend sat and enjoyed 80% of it which took around 15m. We eventually decided to check at the bar for the rest of the order. They said they'd investigate so we should go back to our seats. It came 5m later. The waitress dumped it and was already walking away as she "apologised".

To be honest was a bit disappointed, tables were covered in sticky beer, food was tasteless and the young lady who brought our food over was totally disinterested and plonked our food down silently before walking off. Definitely won't be back.

Not too busy for a Saturday afternoon. Had a child with us and they were fine letting us in. Gutted I wasn't asked for I.D 🤣 We only stayed for a drink before going home so can't comment on food but atmosphere was good.

We went for a breakfast the two of us. Good food nice and hot and had a drink after. We don't have Yates in Northampton anymore used to love going there.

Food had been waiting for ages in the kitchen and was Luke warm. Got my food after 28 mins, staff said sorry we are fixing the dishwasher. I work next door in Manchester One.

Went in for food and cocktails. Order on the app after 20 minutes ⌛️ no drinks or food had arrived. Asked at bar where drinks where and point to table on service screen still counting up at 23 minutes ⏰ got no apology 😤 10 minutes later the 2 x 2 different cocktails turned up still no apology. 10 minutes later the driest and poor cook food arrived. 🤢 Finished cocktails, left food and found a better pub to have more cocktails in before going to the comedy club... this place has staff training and quality control issues 😡 Go to any other pub in the area, they're all better. #AvoidThisPlace #BadService #TerribleFood ( 📸 full English and Gammon streak. )

A nice place but the food and the drink not really delicious. And on the day, the breakfast is different from the reviews. And they told that mushroom sold out and do not offer an alternative replacement. The cappuccino is so watery and do not feel any coffee favour. I may not visit it again as there are many other choices. But if u need a place to burn time and not too crowded, it maybe a good choice.

Visit this place from time to time, never had an isssue until this past weekend. I witnessed drugs being taken on the stairs white door staff were just chatting to each other and then a fight in which there was no door staff inside the building at all members of the public were the ones to separate it and the door staff showed up when a guy had been chocked out and lay on the floor. The dj on Saturday was shocking his music didn’t flow at all there was not very much variety either. I’ve been before when it’s been another dj and he is a whole vibe. I couldn’t believe it this last visit. However the girls behind the bar are great always welcoming.

Popped in for a pint while stopping overnight in Manchester, it was a great venue with friendly staff and a great drinks selection. They also had sports on the Tv's which were a great bonus.

Booked a bottomless brunch which was a £10 deposit on the website. Went into Yates and was told we couldn’t have half of the items on the brunch menu because they weren’t being served before 12pm, despite our booking starting from 11am. Very disappointed with the service received and would not be coming back

Fabulous place, friendly, lively service great atmosphere

Huge place with outdoor seating. Really nice food and not expensive. Staff were sound. Gets very busy and noisy at times.

Food isn’t great, we got 3 small plates for 12.99, croquettes very burned, wings black burned and covered with cheese to make it look better. Asked about student discount they said no we don’t do it, but if you look everywhere there are banners around the place saying you can get student discount. Even after downloading the app they said there wasn’t any student discount.

Nice and friendly with good atmosphere. It's a god sportsbar with plenty of screens. My one criticism is the poor state of the disabled toilet. It was very dirty, had no soap and in general need of a deep clean top to bottom. This is why the service only gets 2 stars and the overall rating is at 3 rather than 5.

Fantastic staff friendly service considering how busy it was

This is a place we used to come loads years ago so we were looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately, the place looked really down at Hill and it will be a while before we return. Gladys hasn't been collected, empty food plates were all over the place and The atmosphere was stilted. They don't seem to do any dry cider either which is unusual and if you compare it to the main competition they must have of Wetherspoons it is very expensive as well. The location is good on Portland Street and you can get a table by the window or in the beer garden. That's about as far as it goes though and we will be frequenting other places instead again.

Decent pub, called in before 5pm for an hour. Not sure how busy it gets later in the evening.

It’s a “meh” review. First the good, good menu, lots to choose from, atmosphere was like any other sports pub, beer and gin selection was good. Now the “can improve.” Staff, it was slow and the bartender and a server on the floor cared more about their personal conversation than paying attention to our order. They continued it while serving us. It’s a chain pub, so it will be “corporate.” Toilets, I saw someone else post it, it’s a hike to get to the toilets, 2 flights up so be prepared for a workout to take a wee. Overall, not a bad place but other spots in the neighborhood if you are looking for more authentic.

Cool decoration, slow service, like really slow, waiting 30 minutes for a drink whilst stood at the bar and online order wasn't received.

£137 one night stay. Rooms unbearable as so hot ( no air conditioning) Had to have a bath as the shower was a rainforest shower, so would of soaked my hair. Stench coming from my window as bins were directly underneath. and noise of bottles being emptied.

Restaurants which urge one to order (and pay) from ones table, by app, do not find favour with me. It is impersonal, tech-dependent and post-pandemic laziness. However, this hands-off approach might have worked in our favour today since, had we relied more on a human being, we might have waited even longer than the 40 minutes it took to get our food. There was an evident shortage of staff and the same person was serving at a busy bar and going to and from the kitchen for the sporadically produced dishes. Inexplicably, a separate, additional journey was made for each trip to bring cutlery and condiments. Service took almost as long as the West Indian innings we were fortunately able to watch during these unplanned hunger games.

I was served a glass of Shiraz. It was truely awful. When I took it back and politely asked to exchange I was told it was my taste and if I didn't like it I would have to pay again. When I expressed disappointment, the barperson said (loudly!) It's the same in other places! Er no - not where we normally go! There we get better service with no questions asked.

It seems regulars get served food before non regulars. Over an hour since I ordered a pudding,yet the table adjacent got all food and have since left. Will I be back,nope is the short answer.
