Roc & Rye in Manchester

Ordered a vodka with lime cordial and received a vodka with lime (not cordial). Told they don't have 'negroni' and given a Gin Mare with regular tonic and no garnish - when asked for rosemary received two raspberries!! Despite it being a drink on their own menu. I'm a happy go lucky chap so not too bothered, but don't come here if you're expecting anything standard, let alone special.

Great atmosphere in the club. Staff was very attentive, I lost my phone and the owner of the bar was very helpful and kind when helping me try and find it. Would recommend coming here for drinks also VERY PINK 😅

Stumbled upon here whilst staying in Manchester for work so me and a few friends popped in for a quick drink, absolutely love the decor completely me and stunning!! The staff were attentive and helpful, we ordered a jug of a cocktail and wanted it to be a cocktail that wasn’t on offer as a jug for 4 but the staff agreed and helped us in doing so. We had the sparkling rose and it tasted divine!! Thoroughly enjoyed the cocktail had lots of flavour and I would surely go back again!! Brilliant fab quirky place

I've been here before and it was pretty good - barman was friendly and the selection of beer isn't bad. As me and my mates had enjoyed our two or so beers that time, we decided to come back next time I was in Manchester. This time, it was devoid of life on a Friday at 10pm, probably because there was no draft beer on. I got told 'we had a really busy day and ran out of draft beer'. Look, I'm not an idiot. You don't 'run out' across your taps and maintain perfectly stocked bottle fridges due to busy days. Just tell me something's broken. But it's such a weird thing to lie about. So that's the first annoyance. Second, as we mentioned this was disappointing, two staffers with absolutely nothing to do start racking up shots next to us. I think 'hey, maybe this is an on-the-house apology'. Nope - she gives them to the other staffers, including the one getting our beers, and they cheers and neck them. Then the sheer lack of people made us just go and sit outside to avoid having to listen to the idiotic conversation of three people who could be doing literally anything else to be useful round the place. The two stars are mainly for potential.

The decor looks like they wanted to be a fancy bar but ran out of money half way through doing it and has ended up looking cheap. They rarely have the wine that's on the wine list and yet never change the list. Staff mess around trying to juggle serving trays while people are waiting for drinks. Plain odd.

Held my 50th birthday party here on Saturday and it was fantastic. Matt and Maritza, the owners, we're so helpful and enthusiastic from beginning to end making the whole process really hassle free. Very flexible in allowing us to use our own caterers and have our own music, they let us take over almost the whole bar. A very stylish setting for a city centre party with a ver impressive bar. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Can't rate it highly enough.

Not a nice feeling when everyone cleans up around you and forces you out whilst finishing your drink at 10.15pm on a Friday night. I’m not surprised though since there wasn’t a sign of toilet roll in the ladies.... poor!

A group of us came here for a cocktail masterclass experience. It was brilliant! Joel was informative and engaging, and the cocktails were the best I've had; a world away from other generic cocktail making experiences! Thoroughly recommend.

Perfect place for meeting up with friends or calling in to do some work. Table service, great range of snacks, fresh coffee, draught beers and excellent cocktails. Very comfortable and welcoming even though it's a very stylish place. Good for after work drinks too with cheaper prices. Thoroughly recommend

Went in last night for a couple of drinks is before we headed back to the hotel , fantastic place very well decorated and the staff were fantastic had a couple of cocktails in there and they were delicious would recommend

We popped in for a coffee which was really lovely, the decor is beautiful, the staff friendly and we also got some little chocolate eggs to go with our coffee for Easter weekend which was a nice treat! Will definitely be visiting again later in the day to try the cocktails!

I have lived in Manchester all my life and I love the city centre and its range of great places. I have been coming in Roc and Rye since its opening and I have always enjoyed the experience. I have been in with friends and family and so when I found myself very early for lunch with my friend, I decided to venture in alone. Warmly welcomed and table service which I really appreciate. Great beers, cocktails and coffee freshly brewed. Lovely place to stay, power points to charge my phone and dog friendly. A great place to go after work and now has a few bar snacks which is a great addition.
