As well as Sam being a top, polite & friendly young chap.... he saved our holiday! Lovely quiet place to have breakfast too.

Asked if we could sit at the bar, shown to our seats and could see the bar was horseshoe shaped and looked really nice. After 5 mins of trying to get served tried to attract the attention of a member of the bar staff who just stared at me and ignored me. 2-3 mins later a grumpy male member of staff came over and said ‘we’re not serving this side of the bar you’ll have to walk around to the other side’. What’s the point of a horseshoe shaped bar with seats all around it if you don’t serve the customers who’ve been shown to a seat where there is no service. Went to a bar upstairs which was just as busy but had staff who couldn’t do enough to help you. Not saying to avoid this place but you might have to miss your flight to get served.

Not the best breakfast I've ever had for £13.50 , nice bar and staff let down by the food.

No stars for service. Despite it being fairly quiet, it took ages to get served because although people were mostly queuing the server randomly took orders across the bar, while two of his colleagues chatted to each other. Placed my order and went to pick up my coffees at which point I was asked what I’d ordered again. Should have said double what I’d ordered, they probably wouldn’t have cared. Finally, when the food turned up one of the items was randomly replaced with something else because “they should have said we didn’t have any when you ordered”. Clearly the staff have had no training, and the manager seemed oblivious. One to avoid.

Service at the bar diabolical. Staff more dedicated to cleaning up after the morning rush, than serving people waiting. Prices astronomical. £52 for a bottle of Chardonnay. £13.75 per glass !

A conventional airport bar, away from the noise. Surly bar staff where you have to go to them, rather than them coming to you, much to the annoyance of the patrons.

Atrocious!!!!! Poor service, lady who served me had zero customer service skills. Served a terrible coffee and a flat Moretti in a cider glass. Blackcurrant and Lemonade £5 even though you had no lemonade!! Waited ages to be served. Beer just slammed on the counter. Dreadful. Sort yourselves out

Sam was an excellent waiter. Very pleasant and helpful. The food and service was also excellent. Highly recommended

One of the first in, so served right away. Literally the food arrived 4 mins later and very delicious too ☺ staff very nice. Did fill up quite quickly so it was then a large queue at the bar. (5am)...maybe more than 2 staff needed at the bar.

Review: Apiary at Manchester Airport ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent visit to Apiary at Manchester Airport was a delightful experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Lechelle, who was extremely cheerful and welcoming. She allowed us to choose our preferred seating and promptly provided us with menus. Lechelle’s attentive service continued throughout our meal. She checked on us later to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, which it certainly was. We both ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was wonderful – perfectly cooked and delicious. Overall, the combination of excellent service and delicious food made our visit to Apiary a memorable one. Highly recommended!

Quite possibly the best Salmon fishcake I've ever had. Service absolutely spot on. The best place to go for food before your flight in T2 Manchester Airport.

Can't rate the food. We left before we could order. Waited in line outside for 10min. That's not their fault. Then was pointed to a table. To be clear he literally said "you see that lady, go over there, there is a spare table" Ok, fine, we can get our own table. But when we arrive table is filthy. Floor also filthy. Food everywhere. We wait for menus. None arrive. I ask for some. They bring them. Menus are covered in food. Then I ask to order and am told to order at the bar. Line of people waiting to order is 8 people deep. So yes we left. Maybe food is good. I can't say. Couldn't suffer through the literal filth and the service to get that far. Avoid

We didn't eat here just had a drink whilst waiting gor our flight. I have never seen a more miserable set of young girls in my life as the ones behind the bar! They looked as though they couldn't wait to go home. A smile costs nothing 😊

I order the salmon fish cakes, they were just potato cakes, tastles and very disappointing.

Sat by bar, chased waiter for service, eventually served after 25 mins, paid for 2 coffee's, nothing for 15 mins, chased again, coffee eventually arrived, order was wrong, waited again as had paid, coffee average, service awful, do not come here for any reason, badly staffed, useless service, we were fooled as it looks nice from outside. AVOID.

Waited for an hour- huge queue at the bar- same line whether ordering a coffee or food or a beer! Staff not doing a great deal- badly organised. Tables not clean, but then again you can’t get food or drink so I guess it doesn’t matter. Ended up leaving and going elsewhere where after a huge waist of time!

If you’re ideal experience in an airport restaurant is queuing up to get a table to queue up to order you are in the right place! Horrendous prices and greeting staff who look like they are having an existential crisis. Its one redeeming feature is after the multiple queuing the food isn’t bad and the bar staff (overworked) are decent.

Oh my god! Sack those miserable staff! Can't be bothered attitude! You would think people standing at the bar were invisible! Surprised they are still in business

Service is appalling, one member of staff on the floor. Clearly a business that just cares about labour saving You have to queue to get in then queue at the bar to order. The least efficient restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. Fitout of the restaurant is great, looks really good.

Was craving freshly squeezed orange juice and on their menu it says fresh orange juice for 3.75. The juice was “fresh” out of a Tesco orange juice box which they are selling for like double the price in a small cup, scam. Was not going to give me a refund unless I said I had an allergy.

Woefully understaffed. Sign happily says 6 mins for food. BUT, several minutes to seat, more for menu, give up on ever getting a menu, 22 mins to order food. Ordered a skinny latte, no problems until you get to coffee person who says 'we don't do that'. No cutlery available at the counter. Food actually turned up quick (but it was a simple order) but no cutlery, so had to go hunting. Overall, disappointed. After many trips over the years we will be trying a different venue

Very quiet when I went, still Waited 15 minutes for staff to come and take order. I gave up and went up to bar to order, to then being told they not doing food, only drinks. Friday at 5:30pm.

We came in this morning for a quick coffee before our early morning flight to Amsterdam.. we arrived at around 4;30am with our flight due to depart at 5:55.. it was early morning but we were greeted by the lovely lady at the door before ordering with a young gentleman called Cameron at the bar.. he assured us we had enough time for a pre-flight coffee before we had to board our aircraft.. the 2 lattes were made by one of his colleges( didn’t get her name) but they were so efficient with their service.. would recommend to anyone and will be visiting again.. thank you!

Lichelle was working her butt off when I was in at 4:30am and made it look easy! She was polite, attentive and lovely. It was my first time in this bar, and she’s a credit to it!

First holiday in a while, getting through the check in was stressful as always, a lot of waiting and anticipation, however when we found our way through to the departure lounge we had a few drinks in the Apiary, was busy but the staff really went that extra mile. Cameron on the bar really went out of his way to look after us. He’s a credit to the venue, and the manager on shift was also very welcoming and hospitable. Thanks for making what was a stressful experience very tolerable.

Really enjoyed the food here! We couldn’t decide between a few of the options, so we ended up ordering 2 meals and splitting both. So glad that we did as both meals were amazing, probably some of the best French toast and eggs I’ve eaten. I would avoid the orange juice though, for £4.25 a glass it was awful!
