Sat in the bar while waiting for the train Not very warm and a cavernous room, but better than standing on the platform

Came in on a Sunday morning, so it was quiet. Been in previously though when it's been busy and had no problems with service. Staff are really friendly. Got food and a coffee and it was good

We ordered breakfast, which came hot and tasted really nice. The server was helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Would come back

Had a couple beers here, with my wife, Very friendly staff, buzzing atmosphere, it was a few days before Christmas, 😃 Plenty of seats, card or cash, Reasonable prices, not a place for a quite drink 😂, I can't comment on food as I didn't have any. Will pop in there again next time I'm up that way.

Being overcharged for a half-pint IPA. Asked for a half-pint but charged me for a full pint

Pasamos a tomar algo después de un concierto cercano, ya que ordenamos que un miembro del personal llamara por hora y en ese momento dejaron de dejar entrar a la gente. Nos sirvieron nuestras bebidas, pero después de unos minutos el portero vino y dijo que teníamos 5 minutos para salir. Cuando era jovencita beber una bebida alcohólica en pocos minutos no era fácil pero lo intentamos. El portero vino de nuevo y dijo que tenemos que irnos ya que el personal necesita conseguir trenes a casa a lo que mi respuesta fue si ese es el caso, tal vez no tome nuestro dinero tan cerca de echar a todos. Bebimos y tratamos de pedir un taxi cuando el portero vino de nuevo y esta vez el personal del bar también nos estaba gritando. Absolutamente justo si el personal tiene que irse a cierta hora pero no tomar el dinero de la gente minutos antes de echarlos, ¡tal vez tocar la campana 5 minutos antes!

Great spot for a quick drink when trains get cancelled which is frequent. Decided to have some food this time and always spot on.

This is the best Guinness in Manchester. Ignore social media's push for a different establishment on Deansgate, that place is excellent, but this is number 1. I almost don't want anyone to know about this absolute gem, but I think it's better everyone can enjoy a tasty Geen from here - and so they keep delivering the creamy pints!

It might be a little expensive but it is the best place to spend time waiting for your train. They are attentive and it is always clean.

As much as it is a good place to have a drink whilst you’re waiting for a delayed train. What I don’t appreciate is the security guard coming in to the ladies toilets to question my sex? Just because I have short hair and I’m tall doesn’t give him the permission to enter the ladies toilets to check!!!! I’ve never felt so humiliated and ashamed of how I look, maybe you should give some training to your so called “security guards” on discrimination. If I wasn’t leaving for my train I would’ve spoken to the bar manager. Absolutely disgraceful.

Drinks are a bit expensive but atmosphere is good and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend popping in for one before your train!

Had some time to kill as trains where late/cancelled so popped in for a quick Guinness and a slow one. Great craic with the bar man.

Relaxed, chilled out atmosphere with friendly staff. The drinks were a little expensive though.

Got a quick pint while waiting to go in the arena, obviously quite busy so no tables free, not a problem, so we positioned ourselves near a ledge at the door, to be told we had to drink outside! But it's OK there's fresh air out there, erm really! Not happy at all at £6.25 a pint i would like better.

Vino a tomar un guinness antes de un viaje en tren. La cabeza era enorme y era efervescente. Esperas más por 6 libras y media. Lo único bueno del lugar era la mesa de billar y el horario en pantalla.

I can't believe that I have never even noticed this bar before. Perfect for when I was planning to arrange for a taxi to pick me up in town. Great bar staff will come back when I next call through. They even have a pool table and a few slot machines. Inside the building is still like the 1800s.

Served by Tony top lad and Tim did a grate job at keeping me preoccupied with grate conversation.

Great deals on bar snacks, nice selection of beers, lines are all clean and the beer tastes great. I was served by Phoebe who has an infectious smile, working with a smile and a happiness to her demeanor just makes being in a bar better, doesn't it? The manager, Tim is also lovely to be served by. Very knowledgeable about the beers and food on offer. Very friendly environment for someone to to wait for the train with a nice beer or food. There's a lovely Victorian glass dome in the middle of the building which is particularly pleasing to look at. There's also a few hand pulls. Today there's Tetleys or wainwright's golden ale. Highly recommend.

We arrived early for our train and spotted a bar adjacent to the station. The bar man was brilliant. He even told us a little bit of history about the previous use for the bar! A first class lounge believe it or not. I would come back just to have a drink. Thank you Tony, (I hope i remembered his name)

I live in Melbourne and icurrently in lManchester visiting family over the summer. I often come to this bar with friends, family or alone as I love the decor, friendly service and they pull a decent pint too! Highly recommended👍👍👍

We were early for the Peter Kay gig so thought we’d call in here for a livener. Disappointing. Quite limited and very expensive.
