We used to come here regularly for brunch or occasionally a Sunday lunch when they did that, but it's gone downhill. Their menu is just a bit weird now. They have 50% off on Sundays, yet only for a small fraction of the menu which is a bit of a strange mix of sandwich and light bite options. You've got to do a lot of work to figure out what's on offer, not on offer, and what someone should order. They used to do fantastic breakfasts and brunches, but they've scaled these back to an unappealing one permutation of a breakfast sandwich (sausage, bacon and hash brown. Nothing else). No eggs anywhere on the breakfast menu these days. I might be wrong - they obviously know their market better than me - but it seems like they had a lovely food offer and they've lost it to offer an average lunch offer instead. Would love to keep on supporting this independent venue, but it's not what it was.

We happened to stay in the area and got a take-away, not expecting the treat we were served: the onion bhajis were the best we‘ve had for decades, crisp and juicy, and we both commented how we last had bhajis like that in Leeds in the eighties. Our two mains were so delicious ( Indian summer and Rogan Josh), not just a thick sauce with meat pieces but a spicy blend of meat and veg. Perfect bhindi bhaji ( okra) and Nan rounded it off. If we didn’t live two hours drive away we‘d be back every week!

We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our table in what is a very nicely decorated restaurant. The staff were very attentive throughout our meal. We had popadoms and a pickle tray to start which were very fresh and the mixture of pickles was very good. We both like a little chilli heat in our curries and both went for the chicken jalfrezi with a shared portion of pillu rice and a shared garlic naan. The meal was lovely and the portions ample. I had a couple of pints of cobra beer and my wife had a very enjoyable cocktail. All it all a very nice meal who cost around £80, we will definitely return.

i came on Thursday 15th September with my wife at around 3pm. On entering the restaraunt the elegance hits you immediatly. The staff were very friendly and professional and helped us with taking some photos. We have been in hundreds of Indian restaraunts around the country but this establishment and the sheer quality of the food is by far the best we have experienced in our lives. Thank you to all the staff. Peter

I've been here a few times it's a very homely and cosy place to have a meal or afternoon tea or book and have a celebration. They do good homemade food, no fancy nonsense, just well presented food, The staff are super friendly. the two people I'd like to say a big thank you to were Kate & Harry they did a great job of looking after me chatting and friendly. I was greeted with a warm welcome. I tried out the breakfast English fry up . It was well presented and left me feeling full .ready for my day . This restaurant is owned by Jenny McAlpine Coronation Street actress & her husband Chris they have done a great job with the restaurant. it's well worth a visit if in Manchester, it's just on a little side road ( Old Bank Street ) St Anne's Square You're sure of a friendly welcome

We went around 5.30pm midweek as a family of four, the chef seemed rushed and almost like he didn’t want to be there both me and my husband walked away feeling like he had been mocking us and worst our kids. Food wasn’t great especially given the price - £120 for 2 adult and 2 kids (under 8) mains, 2 apple juices, a glass of wine and a G&T. The food was so salty we were all guzzling water for hours afterwards. Didn’t stay for pudding so can’t comment on that
