19 Cafe Bar in Manchester

I recently tried the breakfast at 19 Café Bar. I had visited this café about six months ago and only tried their pancakes, but this time I had the full breakfast, and it was amazing! The sausages and eggs were especially delicious. I went on a weekend, so I had to wait around 45 minutes in the queue, but it was definitely worth it. Just keep the wait time in mind if you’re planning a visit. Overall, I think 19 Café Bar is a great option for both breakfast and a casual café experience.

I do not recommend if you're hungry... We arrived 10.50am 18/04/2025 and joined the queue, no problem. The young brunette Irish lady told us around 15/20 minutes wait for a table, which was again no problem! We were seated at 11.08am and ordered within 10 minutes. A lovely youg slim brunette male served us; he is a credit to you. Biscoff pancakes, American breakfast adding sausage, 1 side of hashbrows and a pot of tea. The tea came out straight away, along side a jug of water. This meant we had drank the tea waaaay before the food arrived; I dare say before the food has even started cooking! We asked for another pot of water, which we received. 12.20 the food finally came... Pancakes wete a little dry and there was no biscoff between the pancakes, only on the top. People who were seated after us had finished eating, paid and left while we were waiting. I had to sit and eat my breakfast with my coat on because it was freezing in the cafe... We didn't order anything challenging to make so I'm not sure how that happened? The Irish brunette waiter (maybe Cara?) asked if we would like any sauces, to which we requested tomato ketchup; she didn't bring it... I had to catch the young slim brunette lad who couldn't have been more helpful. Top credits to him again. We paid the bill and left. There was lots of unfinished meals and half full plates going back into the kitchen. In all honestly i canr say much about the food, I've had better but I've probably had worse. Overall, I can't say I'd be back in a hurry; if at all.

Absolutely love this place, when I travel to Manchester it's always on my list for breakfast and a delicious latte.

Amazing. We went at 10am which was a great time as when we were leaving there was a huge wait/queue Ome party said the iced tea was the beat she'd ever had. The bischoff drink looked amazing I had an English breakfast and a berry mocktail Photos don't do the place justice

Very good food! If it's walk-in only, you can't book a table. Tried to go here at the weekend, but then there was a long queue outside. Went back on a weekday, then we had to wait 10 minutes for a free table. So this is a popular place.

Had a lovely experience here this morning! Me and my partner shared a couple of different brunch dishes which were lovely, but the reason we’ve made the effort to leave a review is because of Taylor’s service! Been here twice first time I visited here we asked to go on a larger table because they were 2 of us and didn't want to sit near the window was told it has to be larger groups, then a couple with 2people ended up getting a larger table which this was unfair, I came again and the same issue, my things is everyone should be treated the same despise this lovely little cafe with nice staff

Good place to stop for breakfast or lunch when shopping in Manchester. Just need the chef to not dry out the bacon so much to get a 5 but already been twice in 2 weeks. Great serving staff 👌

Had salmon avocado bagel, wasn't that nice, avocado was mushed with something that didn't taste right and looked blackish, way to oily as well. Kinder beuno waffle, pancakes on top were covered but the ones underneath were plain and dry. Buenos were stale. Not worth the hype

The foods horrible food cold when served too They persuade u to review them 5 stars saying they will pay you if u do so but they’re just scammers.

Best full English breakfast you could ever go to definitely a good hangover cure this place I deeply recommend :)

Visitamos el domingo por la mañana. Tenga en cuenta 20 - 25 minutos de espera en cola fuera de la cafetería. Gran variedad de opciones en el menú. Personal muy amable y alegre. Fuimos por panqueques de loto que eran demasiado azucarados pensé que iba a ser diabético después de comer esto. Ojalá hubiera más frutas que chocolate y loto. En general, si eres dulce te encantará.

About the food: I had the veggie menu, which was excellent. At first glance the portion looked small, but in the end it was filling. It was flavorful; You could tell that someone put a lot of thought into putting together the plate. Regarding the service: very pleasant waitresses and waiters who approach you in a friendly manner and take your order, but also make sure that everything is OK. About the ambience: normal restaurant, not exceptional but pleasant climate. A lot of coming and going, so it's a bit busy and loud, which doesn't bother you too much. The music could be quieter.

The front door is on a magnetic system and doesn't always open. It's almost like it's broken, it's very heavy too. Not great. The music is WAY too loud. Food is lovely.

The food was absolutely delicious and honestly kept me full for the entire day. I had the meaty one and I also tried some of the oreo pancakes which I shared with my boyfriend. There was a significant wait time outside though. We were queuing for about 45 minutes in the cold which is the nature of a walk in restaurant on a busy weekend day. My complaint was that by the time we got to the top of the queue I could see a number of empty tables in the restaurant and the server not pulling people in to try get people out of the cold. We were waiting outside for 15 minutes when I could see empty seats right at the window so this was quite disappointing. Inside the cafe was quite nice but once again it was also rather cold inside. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food which I think wasn’t too bad. Our bill came to £50/€60 which I think is very steep for breakfast/brunch but as I said it kept me full all day and I was satisfied with the meal. The food was delicious and if you can get in on a milder day or a weekday where there isn’t so much of a queue I would definitely recommend trying something

We travelled from London to try this cafe, and it was 100% worth it. Since it is walk-in only, we did wait outside for a little while but the line was overall quite fast-moving. As soon as we sat down, they took our orders and it took around 40 minutes to get our food. It was definitely worth the wait, everything was delicious and tasted freshly made. The service was great and I would definitely recommend and revisit when next in Manchester.

We have just had breakfast and it was the most amazing breakfast ever! We had the kinder pancakes and the full English and can’t wait to go back. Gorgeous atmosphere too! We were served by Taylor and he was so personable.

I'm sure this place has amazing food as it's so busy and has good reviews overall but sadly didn't get to try. We qued outside with our small kids for around 45 minutes in the cold no communications as to how long the wait will be and thecue didn't move an inch. Would of appreciated if somebody came out to tell us what's going on? Went to Macdonald's for breakfast in the end 😔

What's with the queues outside. No one greets you, puts you on a list, tells you the wait. Waited in a queue outside for over 35 minutes, with no movement.

Esperamos en una cola fuera de unos 15 minutos para entrar a las 11 am para el brunch, así que pensamos que era una buena señal, ya que estaba claramente muy ocupado. Una vez dentro nuestro pedido fue tomado después de unos minutos, pero luego esperamos 45 minutos para obtener nuestra comida. El personal era muy amable y no teníamos prisa. Cuando llegó la comida, mi pan tostado francés fue excelente, pero el Bagle de Salmón de mi compañero estaba bien, pero no demasiado generoso con el salmón o el aguacate, pero sabía bien. Creo que este lugar está ocupado todo el tiempo, así que tal vez eligió sus momentos para ir!

Great full English breakfast! Especially the beans, eggs, and mushrooms. Smoked salmon as an extra is also fresh. Sausages and bacon are a little bit too oily for me so I didn’t finish. Potatoes are a bit hard to bite. Cartado to me is too sour (just personal taste). The staff are kind and warm. However I waited for 20 minutes after ordering and I was very hungry. But the taste worth it! Next time I may try a pancake. What’s more, is there any one know what the black stuff on the fork is? It seems like toast but has a taste of meat. Really appreciate!

Great service, great food, great atmosphere

First off staff were lovely and it was a nice place to eat! However I’m not sure what they did to that poor English breakfast, I don’t quite think I’ve ever had an English breakfast where the standout bit of it was the toast! Don’t think the chefs could do much with what they were given to be honest the quality of the bacon wasn’t great but edible. However the sausage and mushrooms didn’t taste like real food! However the drinks were really nice and very well presented and the more sweet food looked really tasty and lots of people seemed to really enjoy it, it’s just not my cup of tea! Thanks for having us :)

Came in to take a break… its January and kinda cold and people just don’t close the door as they come in or out, so it felt cold inside, so didn’t stay too long.

Really nice place, excellent service and the food was of a high quality, it was cooked perfectly. I will be back the next time I am in Manchester .

Delicious pancakes and lovely staff. Would suggest heading down early as by half 11 there was a long queue. We were served by Taylor who was fabulous and very friendly. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Manchester

J'y suis allé pour le petit-déjeuner. Les petits-déjeuners sont copieux et vraiment délicieux, aussi bien sucrés que salés : on se régale ! Attention toutefois, il peut y avoir un peu de queue, mais le service reste efficace.

Wonderful, keep meaning to go here but there's always a queue. It was so worth it. Had the American breakfast and it was delicious. The perfect sweet and savoury. The iced coffee is yummy too.

We had a lovely table and the kids loved the food and the waiters were very nice. definitely deserves 5 stars. The cold coffee is the best I have had in the UK in many years. The portions are very large too. Amazing experience.

Could be the best breakfast I’ve ever had, made by the great server Taylor who was really slay and made the experience a 10/10 as he was chatty and gave me great recommendations. If you want a banging breakfast with friendly helpful staff this is the place to go.

Stopped by here needing a place to sit down, we were impressed by the attentive service and great coffee! It was just a shame there were no vegan pancakes or anything like that on the menu…

Really don't get the hype and the queues! We waited a very long time for our breakfast on a Monday. The bagel seemed to be a Tesco bagel, so nothing fancy at all. The pancakes were big but very very dry, so we couldn't finish them. The tip is included so don't make my mistake and give another tip 🙄. The setup was weird, we were only 2 people and they put us in a table for 10, so this really isn't the best solution for the queues is it? Especially when we were sat for an hour and a half (half an hour waiting for the food). Need to rethink table set up and get more staff. Prices really don't reflect the quality. All in all a weird and tasteless experience.

Went down for my Mum's birthday had a fantastic time, food was lovely staff were great and very quick. Absolutely recommend. Also my coffee had a little bear on it which was very cute and also rather impressive so well done to Jarrin, I've not seen that before.

Me and my partner went to this cafe this morning. We were super excited after hearing some amazing things. The food and service lived up to the hype and que we waited for to get in. The menu looks so good I just wish I didn't get so full as the portions are massive. I want to mention Taylor specifically who served us. He was outstanding, a credit to the company making us feel very welcome. We are already planning a trip for January when we are back in Manchester.

We spotted this cafe on TA and decided to give it a try! A good sign was a full cafe and queue outside at 10am on a Saturday! We were sat after a short wait and drinks served not long after.. hot coffee and a delish salted caramel frappe! We had a full english breaky and smoked salmon bagel... both hot and flavourful.. worth the wait.. staff were helpful and friendly

Visited this place when visiting Manchester. The place is walk-in only at the weekend for brunch. We waited no longer than 20 minutes for our table. The menu has loads of choices. The French toast and pancakes looked amazing. I ended up choose a Full English which was cooked well and had great tasting meats. I recommend this as a brunch place.

Just hang in the queue and try! We visited this absolute gem of a place on a rainy Sunday afternoon and considering we were 3 people and there was no outside seating available during rush hour, we had to wait for approximately 20 minutes, which was alright for Manchester standards. The hype is actually real guys. The food was delicious, the biggest and most flavoursome pancakes I’ve tried and I’ve tried several, the french toast was sick and so was the granola that came with it and eggs and avo on toast were also 10/10. The service was very quick, portions more than generous for the price, coffee was delicious with plenty of nondairy options and the interior is generally nice - nothing fancy, nothing bland. A special shout out to Taylor for making the miserable day a little bit brighter, what a legend! ⭐️11/10

So good we came here 2 days in a row! I found this location through google due to the high star rating and the super picture perfect food. But its not style over substance. It tastes as good as it looks! The first morning i had apple cinnamon French toast and my husband had chocolate chip pancakes. I had pancake envy and wanted to try the pancakes so the second morning just before our drive home i had the berry pancakes and my husband had the oreo french toast. Both sets of food were exceptional! The service was brilliant and a lovely lady even remembered us discussing where we were going the day before. We wouldnt hesitate to visit again! Highly recommend a trip if your in Manchester!

Stopped by Cafe 19 for breakfast, and it was a fantastic experience! I had the pancakes, which were perfectly fluffy and delicious, while my wife enjoyed the French toast that was just as amazing—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Both dishes were generously portioned and full of flavor. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy, making for a really enjoyable morning. Highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty breakfast spot!

Went for breakfast yesterday with my girlfriend, was very quick to get us seated and order taken. Food was just what we was looking for. Look forward to coming back

Our server Taylor was lovely and the food was amazing!

We got here on a Saturday about midday and there was a bit of a queue but waited a max 20-30 mins. When we got inside The FOH person seated us at one of the bigger tables which was nice! We had lots of space and we quickly became comfortable and it was clear to us that the restaurant cared more about service than filling up the tables (as they could’ve gone up the queue and asked if a bigger group could fill it like some establishments might). I had the special which was Pumpkin Spice and cinnamon pancakes, which were so delicious. And for drink I had the Biscoff hot milk drink, such a yummy brunch to get into the autumn feels 🧡 my mum had the avocado and egg bagel which looked really good too. All the food that came out from ours to other people’s looked really well presented like it was from a picture in a cook book. On top of that the guy who served us (brunette & slim, quite young) was so lovely and made our day with his quick witted banter and friendly service, we gave him a tip ❤️ I would definitely come here to eat again and not even mind waiting in a queue for it as it’s worth the wait :)

Vine aquí esta mañana para el almuerzo y no me decepcionó. A pesar de estar ocupados, solo esperamos unos minutos para una mesa y pur orden se tomó muy rápido. Todo el personal era muy amable y atento. Comí tortitas con tocino y jarabe de arce con un huevo extra frito y jugo de arándano. La porción era enorme, no pude terminar todo! Las tortitas eran tan ligeras y esponjosas, y solo sabían increíble. ¡Volveremos otra vez!

Came here Saturday morning with my girlfriend. As she is Austrian this was her first time trying the English breakfast and our first time visiting the 19 Cafe Bar. The breakfast was lovely and the service was great. Thanks guys!

Very cute and cozy place just around the corner from Piccadilly gardens. Service is great and the food is amazing. Highly recommend
