Went to the bar on Deansgate , the man behind the bar was absolutely lovely so friendly and chatty. The cocktail I had was delicious as well , worth the money .

Friendly staff that know what there doing, good time as always!

Out in Manchester with my fiancée for my birthday weekend, we chose this bar as our first stop. Quiet at first as we came early, but we could not fault the place. The guys working were absolutely, and they genuinely get the place going. Great service, great⁸ interaction with the customers,they even got us free shots for my 40th birthday, which we didn't expect. Brilliant music playlist as well. The might got better as it got busier and busier. Let's just say we didn't go anywhere else after being in there. Thanks again

What a great place to drink nice and Cousy

We chose the Liquor Store to host our leaving do and we couldn’t have been happier. We had the right hand side of the bar roped off and Danny was our go to guy for the evening. The team, and particularly Danny were so great and it wasn’t just us thought that, many of our guests mentioned it too. We had some welcome drinks planned and they were served for us and they kept everyone topped up and happy. A few there weren’t drinking and the team put together some bespoke mocktails to cater for them which were delicious, as were the regular cocktails. If you’re considering booking the Liquor Store for your event I would definitely recommend. We’ll be back for any of our future events! Thanks again team!

We came for the cocktail master class as part of our friends hen do and we had the BEST time! Danny was an exceptional host and had us laughing the whole time! We had such a good time we returned later for more drink and to enjoy the vibe of the bar!! Danny was also very informative throughout telling us hints and tips when making cocktails and the spicy marg & oasis was our faves :) Danny and the team (Matt) were very attentive and even got involved with our games and cocktail competition we asked to do. Overall the most accommodating team and we will definitely be returning (again haha) Thank you so much guys! Keep being amazing :)

Visited last night and ordered their cigarettes and alcohol cocktail which was really nice. However, the bartender was really rude to me. I saw when making the cocktails they put a lot of ice and I have sensitive teeth so asked if I could have less ice looking at the glass filled with ice on the bar. He said that the glass on the bar wasn't mine and scoffed at me. I then said I wanted no ice if possible (seeing as he hadn't yet put any ice in my glass) and he explained that the glass would be half full. I said that's fine but he looked annoyed. He then further said I cant have a garnish because the garnish would usually sit on the ice. I said that's fine and took the cocktail. Honestly wouldn't go back here after this experience. Made it out that my request was a big deal and hassle. Such a shame as the drink was nice!

AMAZING! One of our fave bars, brought a big group and everyone was so accommodating and made sure we got the most out of our experience. Hands down best cocktails in Manchester, had the best time as always!

I have never received such terrible customer service. The manager must be one of the rudest people I have ever met. Well apart from his obvious group of friends hanging around the bar. Please avoid at all costs, the abysmal customer service here actually ruined my night.

Good atmosphere and drink selection. I like going here as here you can have and drink and a chat as the music isn't over powering. They have also some drink offers. What not to like. Bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

A hidden gem. A lively bar with great service and music. Ref stripe in bottles was nice. Didn’t try any food but expect it would be nice. A nice change from the traditional pub

I did put a review in on another site but I thought I’d get my Google one in, this was from a few months ago. This place was absolutely amazing and I really mean it, one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. The music was spot on and the decor was amazing. It really did embody Manchester at its finest. The bartender who opened up was class and quite hilarious and when the other ones turned up they were just the same. The cocktail menu is literally perfect and the ghostbuster sharer is just so worth the price it’s unreal. The only note I could make is that they don’t do food, if they did…. It could be a contender for the place place in Manchester but I understand it’s a bar not a restaurant and they don’t wanna expand by building a kitchen and hiring chefs etc.

When in town you cant beat a few in The Store 👌✌️👍

Ordered a £10 whiskey-based cocktail, it tasted like I was drinking straight from a bottle of salted caramel syrup. Kindly asked if they’d change it because it must’ve been a mistake and got a rude, dismissive response. Learn how to make a drink. EDIT: the cocktail was £9.50 - I rounded up 50p. It was the ‘whiskey in a jar’ and we were told ‘it isn’t supposed to taste like whiskey’.

Honestly me and my friends came here for the first time after a nice meal and this place was incredible. I firstly must say that the guy who ran the place with long brunette hair tied back was absolutely phenomenal. Amazing at his job, with great customer service and we will definitely return. He even let us get a photo with the MICHELLIN man and then the guests next to us bought it, for us to have some. Honestly this place is incredible, with great music and vibes and we will definitely return! Thankyou

Have been twice in two months. Manchester themed decor with lovely comfy booths. Cocktail menu is lovely, with some inventive choices. First time visiting was after work with friends and the barman was extremely friendly but the place was very quiet so he had more time for a personable touch. I personally had the cocktail in picture, which was pleasant. Based on the first experience, we came back a second time, as a group of 5. There was a roaming waitress who was amazing and one barman was extremely nice and had such a fun attitude it was impossible not to be happy when talking to him, however, the other barman (with dreadlocks) was extremely rude, and more interested in joking about with other staff and being overbearing. He also refused one male in our group a share cocktail stating we didnt enough people? When questioned, he refused to actually answer why and walked away. The toilet attendant apparently wasn't wearing footwear, which is very bizarre. Upon leaving, the outside area had filled with cigar smokers and people discussing using coke which gave it a sleazy vibe upon leaving which you don't feel inside as the vibe inside is very cool. Overall, nice place, and when quiet is great, cracks in service appear when very busy.

Cracking little joint, good music and great bar staff. Once past the bouncers anyway. :-p Nice range of drinks too, opens late, well worth a visit.

Top staff, great drink selection and quality music. Can't ask for more from a venue. I try and call in at least twice a week with my girlfriend for a couple of drinks and just to see who's hanging about. Huge industry presence here so your bound to bump into either someone you work with or your hospo mates.

10 Stars if we could give them. What an absolute Gem of a place - a group of 8 us around 40 years old having been told that we are too large a group to let in at other bars that evening, despite the fact we would be no trouble, were about to go home but we had reserved a table here. So glad we did, the minute walked in the staff were nothing but accommodating, had food ready for us (which I'd forgotten we'd ordered!) played some brilliant music - The Smiths, some Green Day, Oasis, U2, great beer, great food, great service they could not do enough. Wish we'd spent our whole evening there. Top top end to a weekend in Manchester and would be back here when next up in a heartbeat.

Booked this place last minute for our staff night out, wasn’t expecting much but they really delivered when we arrived every cocktail was on point and the hospitality was amazing. The music was great and suited the casual cocktail bar vibe, the bartenders working that evening catered to our every need and made it a more than enjoyable night. Sorry didn’t quite catch the names of the staff but well done to the two guys on the bar great service 10/10 for both of you. Definitely deserve the 5/5 rating!

Was here the other night, and I am appalled with the bouncer. A man was making a women extremely uncomfortable trying to advance on her when she was clearly not wanting anything. This was right next to the bouncer who was on his phone the entire time not even doing his job properly. She had told him to stop many times but he kept going, the bouncer was too busy looking at his phone to even notice at what was OBVIOUSLY happening RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. Maybe if you had a better bouncer that did his job properly this would have never happened. Truly disgusting.

Larger was flat and the cocktail was poorly made. Not what it used to be with the new staff members working there. Would recommend avoiding and going elsewhere unless it's a weekday after midnight - only place near the immediate city centre that's open until 4am.

Booked a last min table for me and my boyfriend on an impromptu trip to Manc, what a find it was! Staff super chill and friendly, made to feel right at home. Cosy atmosphere on the inside with good music playing. Good cocktail menu with classics and house originals. Definitely worth a visit and will be back again.

Cracking bar well worth a visit

Had a booking for a Saturday evening, when arrived was told to sit where we wanted as was pretty empty. To be later told we had to move. We was told someone would be over to take our drinks order, 10 minutes we waited before going to the bar ourselves. Toilets were an awful state. Giving 2 starts as cocktails were nice, and 1 bartender was really nice and welcoming on arrival. Won't be returning.

This little gem rates in my top 10 for small tucked away bars in Manchester. The staff are legends! The music is rock n roll 60s/70s. The cocktails are sublime. Not only this but the place is spotless. I'll definitely be going there again.

Decent food options, good drinks selection, airy and comfortable seating. Table service pretty good although a little distant (doesn't bother me, better than overbearing)

Great atmosphere and amazing cocktails.

Thoroughly recommend this if anyone is looking for a gin tasting experience. Our host was knowledgeable, explained the origins of gin and produced several different varieties to taste. Tried a couple of the local gins, and the background stories behind them which was very interesting. Bar has a really cool vibe, and if you're a fan of brit pop you'll enjoy it here. We'll definitely return for an evening on our next visit to Manchester.
